What Do I Tell My Black
Child If Obama Loses?

What do I tell my black child if Barack Obama, America's first black president, loses his bid for re-election? This is a question many parents are asking themselves -- especially those who would blame the loss on racism. (Snip) If Obama loses, how many parents will tell their children that his race did him in? Already, The Associated Press published a poll supposedly showing that the negative "racial attitudes" people hold against blacks could likely cost Obama 2 points in the election. Really? Not only does Obama benefit from a near-unanimous black vote, but also from the many whites who

Buy a copy of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Rolling Stones and play it over and over. Your liberal child of any shade will eventually listen to the words and figure things out.

Try telling the Truth. And he's not the first black President. If this person read Obama's book he would know that Obama's father Wasn't 100% black. He was about 15% black and 85% Arab. This makes Obama only 7% black. Lincoln was believed to be 16% black. The importance of this is that someday, Black-Americans will bring this up against Obama.

Tell him that we took the words of Dr. King seriously and we judged the man on the content of his character and not the color of his skin.
Remind your child that character is molded, changed and corrected. Color is, well, color.

Simple. You tell him that it isn't about black, white, red, yellow, or any other color. It is about doing a good job, or not. It is about competence, or incompetence. It is about making promises, and breaking promises. 0bama has had 4 years to prove the voters were correct in electing him. By any reasonable measure, he has failed to prove that point.

The fact that these questions come up in this day and age is just more proof that the left and the Democrats are still as racist as they ever were if not worse in that they have been lying to the black community and bombarding them with propaganda for generations to ensure they are kept down, have no self-confidence and to always see themselves as victims. It has been an insidious and evil campaign for the past 48 years. Thank goodness that some families were able to bypass the lies like Mr. Elder and others who see through the garbage sent their way. I hope that more will wake up soon for the sake of our country and children not yet born.

You could tell the children that a voter, be he black or white, who votes for a candidate based on the color of the candidate's skin color, is a racist. A voter, be he black or white, who votes for a candidate based on the content of the candidate's character, his experience in governance, and his ideology, is a rational human being who doesn't give a flying rat's arse about the skin color of a candidate.

You can tell your child that Obama is the least black, black man you know, and that there are actual black men that love America and will work for the future of its citizens, and not to worry, as said before, it's character, not the color of the skin that matters - all hearts are the same color.

Tell them that when you are given the trust of the people, and you violate that trust, there are certain consequences to be dealt with. You screw up on the job you get fired.
You ruin peoples lives and they get mad and get even. You run a nation into deep debt and raise taxes up through the roof, you got a problem. You inherit an economy with $180 a gallon gas and run that price up to $52.0 a gallon in Los Angeles, people are going to give you the bums rush. You play golf more than 100 times in 4 years and take lavish multi million dollar vacations at tax payers expense several times a year, someones not going to like it. Lie about a terrorist attack where 4 Americans were brutally murdered and it's going to come back on you. Kid's in other words, it's not the color of your skin that matters, it's the content of the man's character that counts.

Obama can be fired, as well.

Only a parent with no sense of "a teachable moment" or a skewed understanding of what "unfair" means, or a victim mentality would even ask this question.

It's a perfect opportunity to explain why some issues transcend color.

Tell them that he didn't get enough votes, and that if you don't get enough votes you lose. If they bring up the race thing, take them to the woodshed and tell them "Don't you ever talk like that again! Do you hear me?"

Ironic indeed that the evidence America is moving past racism is not the hiring but the firing of Obama. It was racist to hire him as an affirmative action president. It is not racist but the very reverse of racist to fire him because he cannot do the job. The racist thing would be to keep him on because he is (half) black even though his performance is below par.

This is not really that hard. People who vote for or against someone because of their race are racists. There are smiley faced racists who think they are doing a good thing and should not be called racists because they mean well. But a smiley faced racist is in many ways worse than a ugly faced racist, because the latter is at least honest with himself while a smiley faced racist is not.

The near unanimous black vote for Obama because of his race, while understandable, is still deplorable. It shows that a lot of work needs to be done to combat black racism. Unfortunately, white liberals, because of their own racism, actually encourage racism in blacks. There is an element of black(!) comedy in all this: black and white liberal racists march around talking about race all the time and accusing the rest of us of being racists, while we try in vain to get them to stop talking about skin color and instead stick to the issues.

N∅bama had four years to do a job, and he failed miserably. That had nothing to do with his skin color. Because he didn't do a good job, the voters replaced him.

Unless it was racism that defeated George H W Bush or Jimmy Carter, then it's not racism that defeats N∅bama from re-election. It's personal incompetance. That transcends racial makeup!!!

Larry takes an incredible amount of hatred from the black community because he is constantly telling them to stop feeling sorry for themselves, and discriminated against, and that if they work hard they will make it.

And no, #35, at no time did Larry ever consider voting for Obama. If fact he had a very heated and emotional on-air exchange with two fellow radio shows hosts because, in spite of their usual conservative talk, fell for the Obama bee-ess (yes, you Doug McIntyre and Al Rantel! Ya happy now?)

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. Republican operatives in Virginia, though, predicted a razor-thin victory for their candidate in the state.

Washington - Early returns on Tuesday in what is anticipated to be a dead even presidential election contained no surprises, as CNN projected President Barack Obama will win his home state of Illinois and eight other races while Republican challenger Mitt Romney will win nine states. All races called so far went as expected after the roller-coaster ride of an election campaign that was buffeted by a superstorm and missteps on both sides. Mitt Romney is leading among independents in both Ohio and Virginia, early exit polls show. In Ohio, the former Massachusetts governor takes 56 percent of self-identified independents, compared with 40 percent for President Barack Obama. That’s a huge decrease for Obama from 2008, when the exit polls found him winning independents in Ohio by 12 points, 52 percent to 44 percent for John McCain. The numbers are similar but slightly tighter in Virginia: Romney takes 53 percent of independents there, according to ABC News exit polls, a 12-point lead over Obama. In 2008, Obama won independents in the state by

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

I began reading the entirety of the first section of the New York Times at nine years old, and continued that practice, more or less, for decades.(snip) ...the power of reverence, intrinsic to what I call the “cascade” of The Times: the near avalanche-like flow and distribution of information through electronic and print networks: through like-minded network newscasts, magazines, local newspaper s, blogs, daytime talk TV, late-night entertainment, statements at media award ceremonies, the celebrity Twitterverse, etc. The cascade rolls through Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, The New Yorker, the mouths of third-grade teachers, Elmo, Madonna and Susan Sarandon …through

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s
