| Ford reported a $1.6 billion third-quarter net income as its best-ever quarterly results in North America more than offset continuing losses in Europe. Revenue was $32.1 billion for the quarter. Pretax profits of $2.3 billion in North America more than made up for a $468 million pretax loss in Europe. Other regions were all in the black. The earnings per share of 40 cents beat the street’s expectations of 30 cents and year-ago’s 34 cents. “This is the third quarter in a row where we earned over $2 billion and had an operating margin over 10%,”

As a VERY happy Shelby driver, I am happy to contribute to Ford's success, even if my purchase was earlier in the year.
Glad to see Americans reward Ford. I don't think the punk, GM, or Chrysler have any idea how much anger they stirred up with their stealing. They used the law enforced, coercive power of government to take our money.
They are no different than any mafia and punk helped them.

Said he couldn't stomach a GM given the bail-out baggage and total investor rip-off.

Ford was on hard times in the '90s, but did a very nice turnaround a decade ago, and has had the highest quality American cars for several years now. I may switch from Mazda to Ford next time I buy a car.

My ancient BMW is on its last legs...I probably need to get another car soon. I will definitely think about getting a Ford again. I had a Granada from 78-80 (my dad's former company car) as my first car and it always treated me right.

Apparently, Ford has figured out something that 0bama Motors has not. Make a product that the consumers, at the right price, and people will buy it.
Hopefully, President Romney's Treasury Secretary will dump 0bama's GM stock. It will hit them hard, but whatever rises from the ashes will be more respectable than what it is now. Screw the UAW. Let them work the drive through far a while.

I had a trip to the Midwest in September. Rented a car, which turned out to be a Ford. I was really impressed. I usually drive either a BMW or a Mercedes, but I could not believe that Ford had made such a nice car. Good for them!

The auto bailout, which should really be called the union bailout, is such a flaming success that Chrysler was handed over to Fiat who is turn is going to ship it to China or maybe Europe, GM is going broke, and the taxpayers and bond holders got hosed. Wow. What a success.
My son-in-law who has never owned a Ford in his life finally saw the light and he bought a new Ford last month.

Hooray for Ford. My Coachman Van Motorhome is a Ford E-250. Has been great and always dependable on trips between Fla and KY. Being a van I have used it as a normal vehicle as well. Of course the trick is to change the oil often and rotate the tires and they'll run forever.
Now I must move on and it is for sale. Someone will get a bargain.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday.
