Campaign Trips Due to Hurricane,
Didn't Cancel Them Over Benghazi

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich took quite a shot at Barack Obama Sunday. Appearing on ABC's This Week, Gingrich said of the President, "You’ll notice he’s canceling his trips over the hurricane. He did not cancel his trips over Benghazi." Newt Gingrich: The bigger issue is whether it’s unemployment or it is what’s happened in Benghazi where we’ve had this strange story over the weekend that the Secretary of Defense apparently refused to obey the President’s order if the President is telling the truth and he actually instructed his assistants to get aid to Benghazi. We’re now being

There's got to be a place for Newt in a Romney Administration.

Actually there's a difference between campaigning and fundraising. Vegas was fundraising,a simple campaign stop doesn't mean all that much.It was Obama's obsession with money that was put ahead of attacked Americans.

I loved Obama's warning about the storm,it's going to be really big.He didn't have one clue on what to tell those FEMA bureaucrats who are depending on states to do their own dirty work.

Maybe "Brownie" wasn't a great FEMA director but at least he moved once in a while.

In the event Romney wins, there will be a dem list of people who will absolutely be stopped from being approved. I think Newt is one and John Bolton another.

The cancellation of these trips IS about Benghazi. 0 is hiding from FOX News and a very few others who are being nosy and making him feel less than 'optimal.'

Also, Sandy is BARELY a hurricane. Don't be surprised when it, too, fizzles out and fails to deliver as expected.

Wouldn't you like to see Gingrich or Anne Coulter as Romney Press Secretary?

#4 - Expect Zero to take credit for the fizzle. Feign shock when Chris Matthews agrees.
#5 - Gingrich, yes. Coulter, no, I would prefer Liz Cheney.

Zero is cancelling campaign trips so he doesn't have to borrow more money from Bank of America to stack his sparse audiences with rent-a-mobs and other low IQ life forms.

The comportment of this weasel we have for a president is just sickening. Its too bad the republicans are afraid of him.

As for Sandy, we got some wind and light rain last night in Raleigh NC and neither in Durham. It's looking more like a Nor'easter.

I'm thrilled that Mitt is doing so well, but my one regret is that we didn't get to see Newt demolish The Wun in a series of debates. It would have been brutal. Somehow you can forgive a debater rolling his eyes when the logical points are all on his side.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the Obama administration’s denial of asylum granted to the Romeike family, who fled Germany over its strict anti-homeschooling laws. In a press release Tuesday, Michael Farris, founder and chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), said, “We believe the Sixth Circuit is wrong and we will appeal their decision. America has room for this family and we will do everything we can to help them.” The Romeikes fled Germany in 2008 when they were subjected to criminal prosecution for homeschooling, which is largely illegal in their country.

They are 1 percenters who are 100 percent despicable. Some wealthy Manhattan moms have figured out a way to cut the long lines at Disney World — by hiring disabled people to pose as family members so they and their kids can jump to the front, The Post has learned. The “black-market Disney guides” run $130 an hour, or $1,040 for an eight-hour day. “My daughter waited one minute to get on ‘It’s a Small World’ — the other kids had to wait 2 1/2 hours,” crowed one mom, who hired a disabled guide through Dream Tours Florida.

The shadow of Watergate is looming larger over the growing IRS and Associated Press leaks scandals amid I-know-nothing denials from the president and his attorney general, with Republicans smelling blood in the water and a former Nixon official saying the Obama administration needs to avoid the impulse to cover up. (snip) “This is how these situations unravel. First it gets blamed on some low-level employee and then it tracks back to Washington,” said Keith Appell, a Republican strategist based in Washington, D.C. “All the way back to Watergate when it was blamed on some third-rate burglary. IRS scandal raises fears about

The Internal Revenue Service scandal would be bad enough if the IRS just handled issues like collecting income taxes and granting nonprofit status. But the immensely powerful federal agency is about to become even more powerful with the arrival of national health care, and that makes the still-unfolding scandal even more troubling. (Snip) The IRS is critical to Obamacare. The structure created by the Affordable Care Act requires the government to know about both the health care coverage (or lack of it) and the financial resources of every American. The IRS, which already knows the latter, was the only

Victoria Toensing, Republican Counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, says her client, a State Department official now considered a whistle-blower in the investigation of the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, has been "threatened" by Obama administration officials. According to Toensing, these threats weren´t related to ambiguous matters. Rather, they were "specifically about Benghazi." She says the threats went beyond the four State Department officials who´ve currently retained counsel. "People have been threatened at the CIA" as well, she claimed. (Snip) Toensing claimed the threats relate to ending the careers of those with information about the attacks who

Immigration bill grants amnesty to

The debate is raging over whether the latest immigration bill is an amnesty for illegal immigrants, but one part is clear: The legislation would forgive businesses that have employed those immigrants illegally. Employers who have allowed illegal immigrants to work off the books can come forward safely and provide their work history without fear of prosecution, and businesses that knowingly employed someone using a bogus or stolen Social Security number likewise would get a pass, according to an analysis of the bill by the Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank that wants a crackdown on immigration.

Pro-gun Native American billboard

Greeley, Colo.—Two billboards in which images of Native Americans are used to make a gun rights argument are causing a stir with some residents who say the image is offensive and insensitive. The billboards in this northern Colorado city show three men dressed in traditional Native American attire and the words "Turn in your arms. The government will take care of you." Matt Wells, an account executive with Lamar Advertising in Denver, said Monday a group of local residents purchased the space. "They have asked to remain anonymous," he said. He also refused to disclose the cost, but said the

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
