The Two Polls That Have Chicago Terrified
National Review Online, by Josh Jordan

Original Article

For all of the polls that are flying out almost hourly now, there are two common trends emerging: Mitt Romney is leading independents by healthy margins, and who holds the overall lead is entirely dependent on the party split within the sample. As of last night, Romney has a razor thin lead of eight tenths of a point nationally against an average Democratic partisan advantage of 4.4 points. In 2008, Barack Obama won the election by 7.2 points (52.9–45.7) and Democrats outnumbered Republicans by eight points.

Comments:
I'll feel better if I see a lot of spittle flying out of Axlerod's mouth on the Sunday talkers.

Party Id shifts significantly from election to election. 2010 was just about even. Most predict anywhere from D+1 to R+2 this cycle with independents going GOP +8 or more. This keeps Obama up smoking.

I can't wait to hear the maggot's concession speech.

On November 6, we lance the boil. The healing begins shortly after noon, January 20.

The Benghazi attack was a make or break opportunity for 0bama. He went with what he chose as the most politically expedient approach. What happened there was bad enough, but the backlash from the exposure of the false narrative is exponentially worse.

The truth is revolting even 0bama's supporters. By this time next week, every news outlet will be shamed into covering the story. When the dust settles on Nov 6, even CA and NY could be red states.

The Manchurian from Chicago is finished.

Is Chicago terrified that it might get the putz back?

Will Obama give his concession speech on MTV? Will Beyonce, Jay-Z, and the other hip-hop toads he lavishly fed with our money be standing behind him as he performs his teleprompted me-me I-I, phony preacher jive?

Where or however he does it, I'll be watching just to see the look on his wife's gorilla-cookies mug.

Well, if the Tsunami hits in the next 20 minutes and it wipes out Kailua and zero's new $35 million choom pad on the Windward side, zero and the beast will have to find a new home....I hope.

Cheers from Waikiki

Number 5, I see that you have watched the wise philosopher, Fred Sanford. Aunt Ester was actually much more attractive than the wookie.

One other fact that indicates the Obama team is worried big-time: they didn't book Grant Park for the victory speech on Nov. 6, but instead the McCormick convention hall, which is indoors, somewhat isolated and holds many fewer people.

As a follow-up to #8, hillbuzz has the story on the isolated McCormick Place concession speech plan. Immediately after a teary farewell to the Grifter Life, the O's will drive to their Chicago home for packing up of Teddy Bears and such. I expect the For Sale sign will be unveiled the next day.

CHICAGO- A housing complex geared toward helping veterans at risk of becoming homeless will be built on Chicago´s South Side next year, officials announced Thursday. Chicago Public Schools’ removal of the graphic novel Persepolis from classrooms sparked protests Friday and outcry from the autobiographical novel’s Iranian-born author. The district denied Friday it had banned the book outright from CPS schools, saying instead it only removed them from 7th grade classrooms for being “inappropriate.” CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett also ordered up training for any high school teachers who wish to continue using the illustrated story of Marjane Satrapi growing up in revolutionary Iran.

Federal securities regulators implicitly blamed former Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his budget office for the fraudulent manner in which state bond investors were misled about Illinois’ sickly pension ledgers. But in making a nearly unprecedented case of securities fraud against the state, the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday laid bare a trail of responsibility for Illinois’ nearly $100 billion pension crisis that extends far beyond the impeached ex-governor’s scandalous time in office.

In the dark hours of Thursday morning, Feb. 28, I awoke to find CNN featuring a continuous shot of a helicopter. The network cut between a close-up and a distant dot. It was Benedict, flying from the Vatican City. This was extraordinary attention for an ordinary cardinal, because as Benedict told the throng awaiting him, “I am no longer pope.” I am not a scholar of Catholic history, but I believe we were witnessing the first time the papal throne was vacant. It may have been occupied by rogues, scoundrels, impostors or even a woman, but always there was someone sitting there.

Ald. James Cappleman (46th) informed the Salvation Army on Friday that it is no longer welcome to feed the poor in Uptown from its homeless outreach trucks. Cappleman gave the social service agency one month to find a new North Side location — outside his ward — before ceasing operations, said Capt. Nancy Powers, who oversees the Salvation Army’s homeless program in Chicago.

American health care is being transformed, for better or worse. “Better,” in this case, means parts of the Affordable Care Act that have polled well and been enacted, taking their place comfortably in the medical system. These include letting dependent children stay on their parents’ health insurance until age 26 and a ban on insurance companies dropping children for pre-existing conditions

It’s takedown time. Ald. Howard Brookins Jr., who has been blasting Police Supt. Garry McCarthy for the city’s gang violence, seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth. Critics claim Brookins, who is demanding police grapple harder with guns and gangs, is undermining police action by representing gang members with gun convictions.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”
