Report: Hillary Asked For
More Security in Benghazi,
Obama Said No

Fox News, by CHRISTOPHER COLLINS

Original Article

Posted By:Not your typical New Yorker, 10/26/2012 12:17:00 PM

Last night, it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ordered more security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi before it was attacked where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Al-Qaeda but President Obama denied the request. The news broke on TheBlazeTV’s “Wilkow!” hosted by Andrew Wilkow, by best-selling author, Ed Klein who said the legal counsel to Clinton had informed him of this information.

Comments:
You blame Hillary, you reap the whirlwind barry.

Welcome to the whirlwind!

I believe it, but when you source is Ed Klein repeating what legal counsel to Hillary said it's not much of a report. You need someone to go on record.

And again, we are forced to ask: at what point does stupidity become legitimately criminal?

I knew this would come out! I knew it as soon as Hillary said she was responsible.

The story on the Blaze said that Bill has been urging Hillary to release this info. She has refused, worried she may be labeled a Judas. Seems she somebody is doing it for her.

Now it makes sense why they tried a cover up. I really didn't see why they had to deny there was an orchestrated attack, but with this piece of information, I see the reason--and the fear. What a rotten administration. Rotten to the core.

Then why hasn't Hillary quit! Why is she continuing the farce of this administration, she as well as Obama are responsible for these deaths, throw in Panetta also, why hasn't Paetraus quit what was his part in this fiasco.

Reply 16 - Posted by: lakerman1, 10/26/2012 12:44:27 PM     (No. 8964248)

Hillary is covering for her own reputation, but I doubt this is true.
She was simply trying to maintain the administrations's narrative that the arab spring was democratic in nature, that libya was safe, that putting in more security, or asking for military intervention in benghazi would have messed up the narrative. (the narrative that the mainstream media are trying to prop up.)

Reply 17 - Posted by: Alkyd Resin, 10/26/2012 12:45:36 PM     (No. 8964253)

There are dozens of officials who have enough knowledge of the cover up to nuke Obama to the moon over Benghazi. Next week Obama is going to be up to his gluteus maximus in alligators trying to look ''in charge'' and Presidential because of Sandy. The period of maximum confusion will be the perfect time for Hillary to strike her revenge.

I am going to hold it against Hillary's patriotism if she conceals such a thing. This is time to be loyal to the country not her boss. Hey, that's why Congress confirms her. She is our employee not his. If she covers up for him, she's unacceptable in future. It is too partisan. She was among the staff of the committee that held the watergate hearings, who praised Nixon's staff at the time. OK, Hillary, your turn to meet the standard set by them. Dean, and so on, more patriotic than you?

I agree with above poster. If this is true and she's keeping it under wraps because she doesn't want to seem to be a "Judas" to the Democrats, she's a traitor and of no use to anyone.

Yes, the Clintons stick knife in and twist it. However, too bad, Hillary. YOU have the big office, the perks, the plane, the lavish traveling and the power of the Secretary of State. No way do you escape blame for your share in this one. All Dems scrambling to manufacture any "reports" necessary to make her look like the innocent victim - again. Ah yes, we have seen this before.

Hillary wasn't keeping this information Under Wraps - it took her this long to fabricate the documentation and get it all in place to Cover Her (well, you know).

The story line that Bill was encouraging her to release the info and she was worried about being a Judas is just cover to explain the timeline.

This is NOT the time to think Hillary is finally telling the truth.

I'll bet he has. Heh heh heh. Timing is everything.

Pool time! Get yer money out. I got ten bucks that says she releases next Monday, to give Romney'e bump a chance to show up in all the polls before election day. Now you pick a day.

I remember Hillary saying a few weeks ago she was going to leave her office... NOW a few days ago..she announced.."I'm baaaack" might not leave. I think earlier the squatter told her she was leaving and to go quietly.. and after this mess she scratched her nose with her third finger and screw you ....Maybe at last Hillary has what she needs to trump whatever he has on them.

There is certainly enough blame in this tragedy go around but the command arrangement is puzzling. The Secretary of State does not have the authority to assign security to American Embassies without seeking approval of the President? Does any effort to improve the security level at any site at any time require specific Presidential approval? Hard to believe!

#31 To add to the confusion just now I heard Andy Card say on FOX that security wouldn't be handled by the SoS but by the CIA. What a mess!

The Boston Marathon terrorist attack allegedly hatched by two brothers from Chechnya is threatening to disrupt President Obama’s second-term agenda. Opponents of immigration reform — the most promising priority of Obama’s second term remaining after the defeat of gun control — are already using the attack to try to slow progress on a bipartisan Senate bill. More broadly, the attack is raising questions about how the administration should deal with 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was captured Friday after an exhaustive manhunt in Boston, and concerns over whether the FBI was

Ted Cruz has made quite an impression in just three months in the Senate. Like Marco Rubio, he is the son of a Cuban exile. He is a extraordinarily talented guy. Unlike Barack Obama, he had a stellar record both in academia and in the practice of law: he was national debating champion, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, clerked for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, was named by American Lawyer magazine as one of the 50 Best Litigators under 45 in America, served as Solicitor General of the State of Texas

Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) was not impressed with Sen. Max Baucus´s (D-Mont.) criticism of how the Obama administration has implemented its signature healthcare law. Baucus said Wednesday that he fears the implementation will be a "huge train wreck" because people do not understand what the reform law does. If it´s a train wreck, Pompeo said, Baucus has no one to blame but himself. "No one in the country bears more responsibility for the complexity of this law than you," Pompeo wrote in a letter to Baucus on Thursday.

When Senator Dianne Feinstein recently spoke to a San Francisco crowd, she accused the “gun lobby” of being responsible for stripping her gun ban from pending gun-control legislation: The National Rifle Association and gun manufacturers are to blame for the “disconnect” between the broad public support for gun control and the reluctance in Congress to ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines, U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein said Wednesday. Feinstein claimed the “NRA has intimidated senators with threats that the gun lobby would spend heavily to unseat them if they support” her gun ban.

Google should google it: Cesar Chavez’s legacy on illegal immigration may not be what Google thinks it is. Here’s a Ruben Navarrette column on the subject. As a labor leader, Chavez realized that uncontrolled immigration undercut his workers’ bargaining position–as late as 1979 he inveighed against “illegal alien strikebreakers” before Congress.. Some of his tactics were even less than Gandhiesque … P.S.: Of course, he changed his position in later years “under pressure from Chicano yaktivists.” That doesn’t mean his later position was right (or wrong).

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
