| The field director for Virginia Democratic Rep. Jim Moran - his son Patrick Moran - has resigned after being secretly recorded seemingly advising an conservative journalist masquerading as a supporter that utility bills could be used to aid in voter fraud. (Snip) The undercover video comes from Project Veritas, which is led by group James O'Keefe - the activist whose undercover videos have caused serious headaches for ACORN, NPR and other groups.

Comments: This was first published 10-24-12, in the Sacramento Bee. Interesting that CBS is the only news outlet that I know of to pick this up so far.

So the congressman had his son on his campaign payroll? Nice touch.
Congressman Jackson from chicago hires his wife's consulting firm to handle his campaign. Those folks know how to spread the money around, hey?
And congressman clyburn of S.C. has a family 'communications' business - remember how hillary bribed him in 2008 by giving his family business $100,000? And remember how Clyburn obtained a seat on the FCC for his daughter?
We have been exposed to so much political corruption, we have been immunized...

Pooor Patrick, he did his best to show them how hard it would be to commit this fraud. He tried to tell them it would be better to get and drive those people out to the polls, if they were alive at all. Tooo bad he gave them a tad too much advice to deter them. LOL

#2, why did you have to bring up Clyburn...the mere mention of his name makes me puke. Of course, you can't say ANYTHING negative about him or his family because you'll be labeled a RACIST...even if the allegation's true (which it is, more often than not). The racist label is the crooked black pols handy dandy invisible shield...allegations and facts be damned. And the LSM dutifully runs with the racist part, all while burying the allegations under the rug.

Moran (as in moron) is a leader within Pelosi's mob. This is indicative of Democrat leadership. The Moran son will probably now get a job with Harry Reid.

Once again displaying the corrupt immorality of the MSM. Democrats can do no wrong. The more the MSM looks the other way, the more embolden the Dems become.

The usual Democrat apology: I'm sorry (that I got caught).
Hint to Democrats all over America: This time, you're gonna have to be stealthy about driving around with boxes full of ballots in your car trunks.

OP, I saw DWS (briefly) on CNN this morning responding to the video. Republicans commit fraud on a much larger scale, of course. They had to wait about airing it to get their spin in place.
“It’s just indefensible and he was right to resign,” Wasserman Schultz said. “But look, the difference here is that, when something like that happens on our side, first of all, that’s one person, and he was quickly taken out of the campaign and we stressed our commitment to making sure that there is no tolerance for voter fraud. But let’s look at the Republican Party.”
“[In] my state, Virginia and one other state … the Republicans paid a firm that was caught deliberately, fraudulently registering voters, tossing out some registrations that were Democratic voter registrations,” she said. “So the deep-seated, widespread voter fraud that the Republicans seem to have been continuing to contract this firm for, that’s what’s very disturbing.”

Hundreds of Christians were under siege inside Cairo’s Coptic cathedral last night as security forces and local residents, some armed with handguns, launched a prolonged and unprecedented attack on the seat of Egypt’s ancient Church. At least one person was killed and at least 84 injured as Christians inside the walled St Mark’s cathedral compound came under a frenzied assault from their assailants in the main road outside. The fighting erupted after a mass funeral for five Copts who were killed during violent clashes in a north Egyptian town on Saturday.

One person was killed and 13 wounded in gun violence over the Christmas holiday, including an 11-year-old boy grazed by a bullet and a man who was shot to death during a dispute in the Englewood neighborhood. Joshua Davis, 18, was shot to death in the 2000 block of W. 69th Street — a few blocks from his home — after an altercation with several males on a CTA bus, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Does this sound familiar? 1. A group of Americans on a diplomatic mission to reach out to Muslims are pinned down by al-Qaeda and come under overwhelming fire. 2. They repeatedly call for support fire missions, which are denied because they cannot absolutely guarantee no civilians are in the area. 3. A frustrated American warrior disobeys orders to go on what appears to be a suicide mission to try to save them.

So what lessons should Republicans learn from the 2016 election? I don’t think anyone other than me has thought to ask this question, as Republicans tend not to be very analytical. But I think the answer is pretty obvious when you look at the failure of their presidential candidate this year and the one in 2008: Republicans need to stop nominating right-wing extremists like John McCain and Mitt Romney. Obviously, the two most recent Republican presidential candidates were far too extreme to the right to be elected by the American public.

It was a brazen and surprisingly long-lived scheme, authorities said, to help aspiring public school teachers cheat on the tests they must pass to prove they are qualified to lead their classrooms. For 15 years, teachers in three Southern states paid Clarence Mumford Sr. — himself a longtime educator — to send someone else to take the tests in their place, authorities said. Each time, Mumford received a fee of between $1,500 and $3,000 to send one of his test ringers with fake identification to the Praxis exam. In return, his customers got a passing grade and began their careers as cheaters,

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
