Graham: Fort Hood shooting
clearly an act of terror

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a senior Republican member of the Armed Forces Committee, on Tuesday said he sharply disagrees with the Department of Defense's characterization of the 2009 shooting at Fort Hood as a case of workplace violence, not terrorism. "I respectfully disagree with the Department of Defense decision to classify the Fort Hood shooting as workplace violence," he said. "It's not fair to the victims, and their families, for this incident to be described in that manner." Mr. Graham, a judge advocate general in the Air Force Reserves, pledged to work with his colleagues in the Senate to

Comments:
How about Congress passing a resolution recognizing the Fr. Hood attack as a terrorist attack? Let's see how many Democrats dare to vote against it. Congress is always wasting time on resolutions recognizing ridiculous things how about voting on recognizing and important event for what it was? (When they return.)

Then Miss Lindsay, call a hearing or have your Congressional Brothers/Sisters in the House call for a hearing and find out WHY the dolts in the Pentagon WILL NOT call this what it was? Get them on record and under oath. And sometime early next year, when President Romney is in Office, recall those responsible and indict them and God willing, put them in a Federal Prison.....

I agree OP especially because the victims' family cannot get paid as a combat death unless they do. If Obomination can bypass congress, then time for congress to bypass him.

Hasan was on Obama's transition team... and that is why it wasn't called terrorism. It's also why he was never reprimanded for anti-American behavior before he went to Ft Hood.

Check out the WH lawn photo's from the day Obama had all the docs in white coats. Hasan is there.

The OP has the best idea to bring this travesty of (alleged) "justice" to the forefront. FORCE the Congress weenie's to make a stand - either FOR America's heroes or AGAINST them.

We really can't take 4 more years of this counter culture idiot in the WH. the abuse of power can't even be put into words. Co-opting the military for left wing causes hurts as much as anything.

I can't remember one single incident of this clown standing up for what is right.

The Al Qaeda terrorist attack that left 14 dead in Ft Hood Texas was not 'workplace violence'. Like Benghazi it was a terrorist attack. There were heroes there and there should be Purple Hearts for the many wounded.
Congress should act.

LanieLou, commenter #6, has pointed out that Hasan, the shooter, was 'on Obama's transition team' and in a white coat for a photo op on the White House lawn. In light of the stonewall and manipulation Obama done on Benghazi, this deserves checking.

In an ugly way it all fits together.

The claim that changing the nature of the charge would endanger the chance of conviction only tells me they've got poor lawyers working on this case. Man up.

This horrible event is 3 years behind us and this oxygen consuming blob of excrement still hasn’t come to trial. How many months have been lost just because he refuses to shave his beard? Just hold him down and someone shave him, for pete’s sake, just get on with it. What’s the problem?

MA Senate: Elizabeth

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

CNN’s Peter Hamby reported that Mitt Romney‘s internal polling showed President Obama leading in Ohio by five percentage points.Per Hamby’s post: The number represented a sharp final bump for Obama in Ohio, a race that had essentially been a tied race through much of the previous week, according to the campaign’s daily tracking. The polling, which also showed a tight race in Pennsylvania, explains why Romney officials decided to send their candidate on last-minute Election Day visits to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. Republican operatives in Virginia, though, predicted a razor-thin victory for their candidate in the state.

Washington - Early returns on Tuesday in what is anticipated to be a dead even presidential election contained no surprises, as CNN projected President Barack Obama will win his home state of Illinois and eight other races while Republican challenger Mitt Romney will win nine states. All races called so far went as expected after the roller-coaster ride of an election campaign that was buffeted by a superstorm and missteps on both sides. Obama and Romney ran dead even in final polls that hinted at a result rivaling some of the closest presidential elections in history, reflecting the deep political

A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. Twenty-six percent named Sandy as an “important” factor, and 15 percent said it was the “most important” factor in their decision.

Mitt Romney is leading among independents in both Ohio and Virginia, early exit polls show. In Ohio, the former Massachusetts governor takes 56 percent of self-identified independents, compared with 40 percent for President Barack Obama. That’s a huge decrease for Obama from 2008, when the exit polls found him winning independents in Ohio by 12 points, 52 percent to 44 percent for John McCain. The numbers are similar but slightly tighter in Virginia: Romney takes 53 percent of independents there, according to ABC News exit polls, a 12-point lead over Obama. In 2008, Obama won independents in the state by

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.
