Donald Trump to reveal
‘divorce papers of Michelle
and Barack Obama’, claims
respected financial pundit

Daily Mail (UK), by Daniel Bates

Original Article

Donald Trump is to claim that he has unearthed divorce papers of Michelle Obama and the President, according to a respected financial pundit with links to the tycoon. It is alleged that the eccentric real estate mogul will claim that the documents show the First Lady and the President were at one point in their two decades of marriage seriously considering splitting up. Trump set the hare running on Monday by claiming that he was set to make an announcement on Wednesday that would be ‘bordering on gigantic' and that it would ‘possibly’ change the Presidential race.

That's the stupidest thing I've read today.

I don't know how smart this would be, if that is what it is. I would think the reward would not be worth the risk, but who knows.

This is assuming that is what it is.

I agree with every poster thus far. Who cares? Stupid and yawn. If this is the "BIG" news, The Donald has slipped his hair piece.

Did they get marriage counseling from Rev. Wright?

It would all depend on what was in them. Remember Jack Ryan.

This is dopier than Trump's hair.

...if this is it, it's somewhat old news...the story has been around before. It was after 0bama lost the race for congress...

...at this point, in this race, I sure hope The Donald has something more to go with...how about a membership card to "Man's Country" in Chicago...now that might shake up the folks...(and explain a lot)

Reply 12 - Posted by: convert, 10/23/2012 4:27:53 PM     (No. 8956129)

Trump is trying to throw the election....TO OBAMA. Mostly, he's trying to gin up ratings for his show and get media attention. He's a jerk.

Trump. Clown.

I didn't like him as a Democrat. I don't like him as a Republican. I didn't like him as a real estate developer. I don't like him as a reality show star.

He's a boorish clown. He can only diminish Mr. Romney.

Hard to figure. If it's just a vanilla divorce action, then it gins up sympathy for the Obamas. BUT, if there is a certain beautiful young lady named Vera Baker mentioned, it's a whole new ballgame. Who knows what he's up to, Trump is a carnival barker.

Reply 16 - Posted by: 6079 Smith, W, 10/23/2012 4:31:21 PM     (No. 8956140)

If it worked, it would be ironic, in that Obama/Axlerod used divorce papers against Ryan in the Illinois senate race. But Obama won't leave the race over this.

Yeah I don't get it...
But on a different note I found the most hilarious quote today:

"I called Mitt and asked him if it's still possible to get access to these binders full of women."

- Bill Clinton

This 'bombshell' is just a pretext to promote the season premier of his tired and tiresome TV show. Trump would love it if I were to mention the show's name.

Reply 20 - Posted by: jalo1951, 10/23/2012 4:35:34 PM     (No. 8956153)

Well, big harry deal, not. A week doesn't go by that I consider seriously divorcing my husband. I believe Donald has been divorced a time or two.

Reply 21 - Posted by: Jiobaobubai, 10/23/2012 4:35:44 PM     (No. 8956154)

Agree with most previous posters, if this is the "bombshell" it will do more harm to Romney than good. This is not relevant and is petty.

If Trump screws this up over unimportant crap I hope he is chased out of the country.

Reply 22 - Posted by: Stlouislaxbros dad, 10/23/2012 4:36:22 PM     (No. 8956158)

....especially if it was going to be a "no fault" irreconcilable differences divorce.

Now.. if there were allegations of physical abuse..that would be different.

However... Romney is staying the course now...and winning... I would not get into this stuff that Trump says he has found.

If this is his bombshell, who is he kidding? How many times has Donald been married?

Now...if the divorce papers were right around the 2007 mark, that could be kinda interesting.

But honestly - if this is his surprise, unless there is something very odd in the papers, it's not worth the hype.

Reply 24 - Posted by: killerbee, 10/23/2012 4:38:31 PM     (No. 8956165)

I wish Trumpy would shut it. Nothing he brings out will do anything but distract from Romney's message. Trump is playing for the other team, me thinks.

And, by the way, regardless of whether or not he discovered divorce papers, it appears they are still married and they have two daughters who live with them as a family. That's about the only thing the Obamas have going for them. And it's not, nor has it ever been, enough. So why attack it if you're not out to generate sympathy for the Won?

Reply 25 - Posted by: Blackeagle, 10/23/2012 4:38:33 PM     (No. 8956167)

So what...

This has nothing to do with the Economy. Funny though, this how Obama and Axelrod operate to take out their opponents.

Paying off Court Officials to unseal Divorce documents and unleashing a torrent of dirt.

Even so, it has nothing to do with turning the economy around and that is the one and ONLY issue in this campaign.

Maybe Donald should take a seat.

I don't think Trump would consider divorce a big deal ...

Reply 40 - Posted by: pgvoisin, 10/23/2012 5:04:36 PM     (No. 8956262)

Cocaine?
Divorce?
Parking tickets?
What's next, cutting the mattress tag off?

This has nothing to do with the economy.
This has nothing to do with America's security.

Romney can do himself a big favor and call up the Trumpster and tell him to hold the “news” until AFTER the election.

Romney should ask that he be given the chance to earn this election on HIS merits alone!

Reply 41 - Posted by: Moonspinner, 10/23/2012 5:08:27 PM     (No. 8956275)

I read about Michelle wanting a divorce in The Amateur. Romney needs to stay way, way, far away from this as it is old news and the American people don't care about it. No big deal unless she wanted a divorce because of his drug use or something really bad he did to her or the kids.

Reply 42 - Posted by: Avogadra, 10/23/2012 5:09:06 PM     (No. 8956276)

#16, Vera Baker? Obama doesn't swing that way. Does your gaydar need to go to the shop for a little tuneup, perhaps?

Reply 43 - Posted by: AppleAnnie, 10/23/2012 5:10:25 PM     (No. 8956278)

Hm, it might depend on with whom the spouse was having an affair.

Reply 44 - Posted by: BaseballFan, 10/23/2012 5:14:49 PM     (No. 8956283)

An even bigger bombshell would be something like Larry Flynt claiming he has bona fide photos of a naked Michelle Obama, and he'll promise to burn all copies and negatives if Romney will drop out of the race.

Reply 45 - Posted by: dittohead, 10/23/2012 5:15:54 PM     (No. 8956285)

Drumming up publicity for the new season of Apprentice.

I specifically remember seeing an interview with the Obamas during the last election where they both admitted to being separated and having relationships with other people - can't find anyone else that remembers, though. I was at the hospital, in the early morning, waiting for major tests and some alphabet news channel was on - oh well, maybe I was already drugged up and dreamed it, but I don't think so!!

Reply 46 - Posted by: lakerman1, 10/23/2012 5:17:54 PM     (No. 8956290)

If my memory serves me, mr hussein obama knocked out his primary opponent for the u.s. senate, on the divorce stuff. Then he forced ryan to withdraw because the chicago tribune went to court, and had ryan's divorce file unsealed.
We, as citizens of the U.S., should never allow a chicago politician, ever again, to run for national office.

Reply 47 - Posted by: whyyeseyec, 10/23/2012 5:18:56 PM     (No. 8956296)

If this turns out to be true I hope the lib heads explode over it. Obama did the same thing to his opponent Jack Ryan in the senate race of 2004 by mysteriously getting a judge to release the sealed divorce papers. This would be a bit of payback to the Obama`s we`d all enjoy.

Reply 48 - Posted by: Italiano, 10/23/2012 5:25:17 PM     (No. 8956309)

Romney would be crazy to go near this, except to denounce it. However...as #48 points out, payback would be a you-know-what for these two vermin.

Reply 51 - Posted by: fritzilou, 10/23/2012 5:38:51 PM     (No. 8956343)

It is a just payback, because the Obamas disclosed the divorce records of the two people he was to run against for State Senate and the United States Senate.

Reply 56 - Posted by: GOPJihad, 10/23/2012 5:57:12 PM     (No. 8956379)

If true, this is, aside from distasteful, counterproductive.

I do not see how this would change anything to Romney's favor, unless the allegations therein are of a such a nature that even the most politically correct types would be hard pressed to explain it away (i.e. spousal abuse, or worse).

The Linebacker has always been a very unhappy looking woman. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Muslim in Chief isn't getting the job done in the boudoir. He probably isn't even interested, preferring to consort with young men. For instance, look at his regular golf foursome. There ain't one firm handshake in that entire bunch. Hell, a couple of those guys probably haven't even started shaving yet. I think the sauna gets more action than the golf course.

If this is true it is significant if there was another woman, or another man involved. And it's significant if he is prone to severe depression as mentioned in the article. if 0bama is on antidepressants, that could explain his lethargic demeanor in the first debate and on several other occasions.

This has been known for sometime. It was after he lost his first campaign for the State Congress. Now, if he would have contact with the individual who is will to submit to a polygraph with info about barry s. selling weed and coke when he was at Columbia, that would be better, and/or back L. Sinclair when Barack bought cocaine for Sinclair and Crack for himself. Barack even had his own grass pipe to smoke the crack----that was in 1999. Need to find out what he was smokin' right before he went out to stand in front of his styrofoam columns--the guy who witnessed that unforunately came up dead. Diane Finestein is familiar with that situation.

I believe that this is going to be yet another Trump dud. The Leftist asshats who were going to vote for the Asshat-in-Chief are going to vote for him no matter what. And the Independents aren’t even going to bother with the story.

The MAJOR story that SHOULD be affecting the Independents is the story that is NOT receiving coverage – The Benghazi Massacre.

Yeah, this is a non story. If this is all Trump has, it will not help Romney, but garner sympathy for Obama. Unless, this is where it reveals that Obama was into men and that is listed as a reason for seeking divorce. Everyone is afraid to address Obama's homosexuality and I don't know why.

Dear Mr. Trump,

Please, for the sake of the country, restrain yourself. Most couples go through rough patches. The fact that they worked it through when they didn't feel like it is a testament to their commitment to family life. You will only be pointing out an admirable VIRTUE in a political opponent. Sheesh.

Wait a second, everybody. I know there are a lot of posts here already, and if someone has already posted something similar already, then I apologize - haven't read them all.

But - what if the Obamas ARE DIVORCED NOW? And have been since 2007 or so?

Then what the hell have we been paying for her ultra-mega-luxurious vacations for?!

Ok just for the sake of argument, what if they are truly divorced, then what does that say about the female living with him in the White House? Surely she isn't sleeping in the Lincoln Bedroom is she? If so then what about the other woman close to him like glue?

Food for thought.

I have rarely seen this much agreement in a blog. Add me to the list. Romney is doing great and there are less than two weeks to go. Trump needs to shut up. This kind of thing, or the Birth Certificate thing are LOSERS right now. Trump is the equivalent of a third party candidate at this point. Doing nothing but helping the one he disagrees with the most.

It's truly hard to believe how someone this stupid can be viewed as a financial genius. This "revelation" has absolutely no chance of hurting Obama and more likely would help him.

I only see this is important (as it stands now) for one real reason.

They keep saying "Romney lied." OK, then how come when this came out in Klein's book, you all claimed HE was the one lying.

Proves, with solid documentation, that Obama is a liar. End of argument. But then lying seems to be the primary skill of this entire administration. (And that DOES relate to 9/11/12)

If the story has something to do with drugs it won't matter because all that will do is get more votes from the occupy crowd. Of course I can't believe anybody in their right mind would vote for the Fraud-In-Chief. But I can't believe that Trump would throw Romney under the bus, he endoruced him publicly, but then again Trump is about one brick short of a load.

I read somewhere that 50% of marriages in the United States end in divorce. And I'd wager the other 50% have probably considered it, seriously or fleetingly, at one time or another. I can't stand Urkel and Aunt Esther, but this is a colossal nothing-burger which will only garner sympathy for the First Leaches. Donald, you're fired.

Oh -- shut up!!

Who care!!

There is no real affection betweenthem. BUT -- who cares...

When President Romney's children and grandchildren came on the stage the other night -- I smiled as they gathered round. The obamas didn't have the same loving affection from their families.... Why -- do you suppose? In fact they had to "horn in" on the Romney family...

Well as long as we are all engaging in pure speculation, I'll throw in my 2 cents worth. A plain Jane divorce filing for irreconcileable differences will not make a whit's worth of impact on the electorate. Pick up your yellow pages and see how many divorce attorneys there are in your community per 1,000 population. It is entirely to common to be shocking. Now with some lacivious details, that could be another matter, but it will have to be shocking. Such as:

Documented drug use
Documented homosexual activity
Documentation showing that BHO had committed fraud by attending college as a foreign student.

Please note that the first two item could bealledged against him or her.

As for the messenger, what a waist of space. The Donald's 15 minutes were up 20 years ago. He is a net negative in all his pursuits.

Sorry for the missfire just above.

Probably been said before. I am no more interested in Obama divorce papers than I was in those of the Donald.

Really, he ought to ask a few people in the street - maybe people at the subway stop on the way to work in one of his properties - how big a deal something like this is...

Reply 98 - Posted by: M2, 10/24/2012 8:45:19 AM     (No. 8957487)

If the alleged divorce papers were drawn up now instead of "some time during their marriage", maybe it would be news. Not big news.

Whatever, Trump's "blockbuster" revelation is not a big deal. Who, praytell, cares?

Reply 99 - Posted by: Charactercounts, 10/24/2012 8:46:29 AM     (No. 8957490)

I don't see what good this does toward electing Romney.

As other posters have noted, Ed Klein mentions that Michelle wanted a divorce in "The Amateur." The White House has denied that ever happened. Producing divorce papers would show that Klein was in fact correct.

Trump should pick himself up and out of the Gloria Allred gutter. Let the pig-woman wallow in her filth alone. The adults in the USA are bigger than Allred, obama and the MSM.

SANFORD, Fla.--The family of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin has "every confidence" that a jury will convict George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch captain accused in his shooting death, a family attorney said. Martin´s family, including his mother Sybrina Fulton and father Tracy Martin, have attended jury selection proceedings in the Seminole County criminal courthouse since they launched more than a week ago. Attorneys in the case have been whittling down a pool of potential jurors, questioning them on their exposure to news reports in the high-profile case.

The Airbus next-generation A350 plane took off commercially at the Paris Air Show on Wednesday, winning multi-billion-dollar deals and the European manufacturer said that more deals were in the air. The news comes just days after the new plane took to the skies in its first ever test flight on Friday, stealing the limelight before the start of the air show -- a key event where Airbus and Boeing compete fiercely for plane orders. The two rivals are currently head-to-head -- $44.6 billion in new plane orders or agreements for Airbus versus $44.8 billion for Boeing -- after Ryanair

A new documentary features interviews with six whistle-blowers who claim that the official explanation given for the ill-fated Trans World Airline Flight 800 crash in 1996 is wrong. The flight crashed off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago, killing all 230 people on board in what is the third-deadliest aviation accident in U.S. history. The official explanation given by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) at the time was that the crash was caused by a gas tank explosion. Many alternative theories exist, the most common is that a missile strike

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Women will have the chance to join the Navy SEALS, Army Rangers and other specialized combat outfits beginning in 2016 under plans approved Tuesday by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel. Female candidates will also be able to join front-line Army and Marine Corps infantry units as part of the department’s decision. “The days of the ‘Rambo’ are over,” Maj. Gen. Bennet Sacolick, head of force development for Special Operations Command, said Tuesday during a briefing announcing the changes. Tuesday’s announcement builds on former Pentagon chief Leon Panetta’s decision in January to end the military’s long-standing ban

Michael Hastings, a contributor to Rolling Stone and BuzzFeed, died on Tuesday morning in a car crash in Los Angeles at the unforgivably young age of 33.He is best known, rightly, for his 2010 Rolling Stone profile of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who as commander of the U.S.-led force in Afghanistan was the face of the war that Hastings saw as misguided and poorly managed. His profile, “The Runaway General,” portrayed McChrystal as a loose cannon so sure of himself and his strategy for the war that he and his staff openly derided their civilian overseers,

Senate rejects border fence

Senators on Tuesday rejected building the 700 miles of double-tier border fencing Congress authorized just seven years ago, with a majority of the Senate saying they didn’t want to delay granting illegal immigrants legal status while the fence was being built. The 54-39 vote to reject the fence shows the core of the immigration deal is holding. The vote broke mostly along party lines, though five Republicans, including Sen. Marco Rubio and the rest of the bill’s authors, voted against the fence, and two Democrats voted for it. Republicans had offered the fence as a way to

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
