Justice Elena Kagan said she was “not sure” if President Barack Obama would have nominated her to the Supreme Court if she had not been a woman. During a talk before law students on Friday at the University of Tennessee Law School, Kagan said, “And to tell you the truth, there were also things that I got because I was a woman. I mean I'm not sure I'd be sitting here.” “I'm not sure that I would've been President Obama's nominee if I weren't a woman,” she said. “And if he wasn't as committed as he was to ensuring

Comments:
And because Democrats divide people up into different segments of society it was even better that she was a lesbian. She wouldn't have been considered because of qualifications or whether she will follow the Constitution.

She should resign, but of course she won't.

Putting an anti-American agenda ahead of the U.S. Constitution was the only real requirement. He would have appointed Bill Ayers if he thought he could have gotten away with it.

She's honest about being used by Obama. That's about all I can say about her.

#1, you raise an interesting question. Compared to Rachel Maddow, Kagan certainly is a woman. Compared to Keith Olbermann, she is not. This leaves the general population question wide open.

All of these things and a guaranteed vote on the SCOTUS for any opinion Obama wants to direct her to give.

She knows that she is not a supreme court justice, just an Obama surrogate.

#16 gets down to the meat of the story. Obama thought that this would be enough to appease his radical gay supporters, but it is never enough. He had to come out in support of gay marriage. That will not be enough. He'll have to come out, period.

Laugh and joke all you like(doen't bother me) but the joke is on us. How many republicans stood up and said no because of her weak credentials? They should have stood up during the confirmation hearings. Some did but it was pretty darned weak. She should never have been confirmed (beauty aside).

Until "Liberals" recover from the impulse to pick winners and losers with the power of the Federal Government there can be no peace.

The honest players will not bring their own money (capital) to the table when the dealer is drunk with power and "equalizing" the outcome.

Judge Kagan should be impeached for lying in her confirmation hearings. She claimed to have never heard the term "progressive" before being asked if she were one at the hearing. This woman could be Stephanie Cutter, since she can lie so well. A former Harvard Law School Dean who had never heard of "Progressive" is impossible.

Such a comment does not reflect well on her intelligence. She basically just admitted she got the job based on affirmative action rather than her mental and legal qualifications. How stupid is that.

Just because she looks a certain way doesn't mean she is a lesbian. Why do so many folks insist that she is? And even if she is, it is totally irrelevant. I have known a lot of very masculine looking women with short hair and dressed masculine but who were 100% straight and even married with children. I have also known a lot of absolutely beautiful, very feminine women who dressed in skirts and heels and all that who were 100% lesbian. You can't necessarily tell by looking at someone.

Anyway, as I said, sexual orientation is completely irrelevant. I think people who are obssessed with this may have some personal issues to consider.

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
