UN Warns Americans:
Do Not Elect Mitt Romney

The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights has warned Americans not to elect Republican Mitt Romney in next month’s presidential election, saying that doing so would be “a democratic mandate for torture.” The UN’s Ben Emmerson was referring to Romney’s refusal to rule out the use of waterboarding in interrogating terror detainees, a practice that President Barack Obama has ended. Colin Perkel of The Canadian Press reported Emmerson’s remarks from a symposium in Toronto on the impact of 9/11 on human rights: "The re-introduction of torture under a Romney administration would significantly increase

Romney wants to torture terrorists. Obama is the terrorist who wants to torture all of America.

If I was undecided this would have sealed the deal as a vote for Romney.

Don't you agree?

nothing like the world telling US what to do "NOT!"
It's time the UN was cleared for a parking lot. everyone there should be given a days notice to clear out and go home. (even a day is way too long)

#2, the headline of the article alone would have sealed the deal for me.

But the article itself is eminently worth a read.

Funny, I musta missed that UN memo to the islamonizis not to mutilate, rape, torture, butcher, kill and drag their victims thru the streets of the Middle East in their sick, twisted ethos of a gruesome display of absolute terror!

Another endorsement for Obama.

The UN is so corrupt. It's fallen down and can't get up. ...So, why are hard working American citizen's tax dollars still being used to fund this now apparently statist-dominated tool? ...What wasted potential!

Defund the outrageously off-track UN.

Well crap. I wish they had warned me earlier. I jumped the gun with this early voting scheme and already voted for Romney. That's what I get for thinking I know better than the UN.

Our State Department will do nothing.

Time to look seriously at the cost-benefit of UN membership. We have been involved in the "redistribution" of our wealth to fund this anti-freedom, anti-American mob for far too many decades.

Maybe the liberals can donate toward building a new UN facility in Havana. Cuba could use the economic stimulus.

So now the UN is attempting to intefere in our national elections. The knuckle dragging monkeys at the UN need to clean up their own backyards of brutal terrorists before they shake their bony fingers at America. I do not know who is cheekier, the Obama administration or the cheeky monkeys at the UN.

At a secret February ceremony at CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., the chief of the CIA’s base in Benghazi the night of the 9/11 anniversary attacks there was awarded one of the agency’s highest intelligence medals, according to U.S. military and intelligence officials. The honor given behind closed doors to “Bob,” the officer who was in charge of the Benghazi intelligence annex and CIA base that was attacked in the early morning of September 12, 2012 and then abandoned for nearly three weeks, illustrates the murky lines of command that preceded the attack, and helped make it a politically volatile issue.

The Senate on Monday opened debate on a $955 billion farm bill that would reduce federal spending by as much as $23 billion over the next 10 years by cutting funding for food stamps and eliminating some farm-support programs. "This legislation will create jobs, cut taxpayer subsidies and reduce the deficit," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said Monday. The White House offered only conditional support for the bill, an indication that lawmakers will need to make changes to win the president´s signature. The Obama administration in April called for a 3 percent reduction in the nation´s crop insurance program,

Journalists are understandably alarmed by the revelation that President Barack Obama´s Justice Department targeted Fox News reporter James Rosen during a leak investigation of a State Department employee. The news, reported by the Washington Post late Sunday night, reveals that the Obama administration will apparently stop at nothing to track down whistle-blowers who leak classified information. In Rosen´s case, that included implicating him as a "criminal co-conspirator" whose actions were punishable with up to 10 years in prison. While it is not uncommon for the government to investigate leaks, it is unprecedented for a journalist

(Snip) It takes a man of particular vision to know, as Obama did, that the country really was ready to send an African American to the White House. But I also think that some day historians will pore over his many speeches to black audiences. They will see a president who sought to hold black people accountable for their communities, but was disdainful of those who looked at him and sought the same.

And yes, I realize that headline is eight words too long. Peter Nicholas at the WSJ: The White House’s chief lawyer learned weeks ago that an audit of the Internal Revenue Service likely would show that agency employees inappropriately targeted conservative groups, a senior White House official said Sunday. That disclosure has prompted a debate over whether the president should have been notified at that time. The Democratic candidates for mayor in New York are campaigning to win the support of the teachers union. They threaten to return the city to the horrors of the David Dinkins era. Back at the turn of the 1990s, New York City was a mess. Crime was rampant. The schools were dreadful. Children in foster care were brutalized because–as the head of the Child Welfare Agency said–”oversight is racist.” The mayor was an incompetent. And, above all, the city was run for the benefit of its employees rather than its citizens. What followed was 20 years of governance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”
