Dick Morris predicts an
Obama-Iran 'October surprise'

Washington Times, by Dick Eldridge

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 10/20/2012 6:51:14 PM

Political guru Dick Morris predicted Saturday that the White House will announce an "October surprise" — a deal with Iran over nuclear inspections before the Nov. 6 election. Citing an Internet report on ***, a conservative website, Mr. Morris said a deal between the White House and the Iranian regime is in the works to ease sanctions on Iran in return for concessions on the Iranian nuclear program. Such an agreement, announced before the election, would represent a big foreign policy victory for the president, who has been under pressure from Israel to take a more robust stand

The Iranians want Zero to stay in office, signing an agreement which they never intend to honor is not much of a sacrifice.

See post immediately below this one, from the New York Times, announcing just that. I wonder what Obama offered for them to agree to this. Probably as he said to the Russians, "After my election I'll have more flexibility."

Only a naive fool would cut a deal with Iran and expect them to live up to it. Several bunker busters up their wazoo would be more effective.

Exsqueeze me, a report on ***? A conservative web site? Is worth what?

[and just why is *** a "bad word" on ldot?]

Still, it does sound like something Dick Morris would say. It even sounds like something that Zero would do. But what would it be worth? Obvious answer: Zero. Would even come across as pandering, wag-the-dog stuff. Only the insane would credit it, and they're already solid Democrats.

From an article elsewhere:

A secretive former CIA expert who is known as Reza Kahili maintains that in return for an end to economic sanctions, the Tehran regime will, before the U.S. presidential election, publicly state that it will temporarily halt some aspects of uranium enrichment in return for a lifting of sanctions by the United States early in 2013.

This article, published 18 hours ago, includes information from the writer's interview with Frank Gaffney, the founder and president of the Center for Security Policy, and former Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy, the senior position in the Defense Department with responsibility for policies involving nuclear forces, who stressed that as of that time there'd been no confirmation of such an offer.

This would return relations to about the same point they were at 4 years ago in terms of hope for an agreement. All you have to do is have amnesia for the last 4 years and believe that, after 4 years of abject weakness, the Ayatollah will be scared of Obama this time. Right.

It would not represent a "big Obama foreign policy victory". Iran cannot be trusted. Much like the Russians who are famous for simply ignoring any treaty they sign. What it would represent is Obama being snuckered one more time. The guy is a total fool when it comes to dealing with the Middle East. And those countries are in chaos thanks to his rampant mismanagement.

The October surprise is going to be Gloria Allred's little circus. My prediction is that she's going to bring out a "client #1" who will say (through Allred) that Mitt Romney or one of his sons sexually assaulted or harassed her. Ultimately, she will not file charges.

If client #1 doesn't do the trick, there will be a client #2. It will happen so close to the election that the Romneys won't even have much of a chance to answer the accusations.

It's worked for them before, they'll try it again. Romney better have his lawyers on stand-by.

#31, if that happens, then Romney should immediately issue a statement that he is personally filing suit for slander against the person making the claim. I wouldn't even wait an hour. And make it a huge amount...say 50 million plus.

The October surprise is that Romney is beating Obama!

If Iran wants an agreement with Obama, I'm sure he will give them anything to stay in power. All indictions point to a Romney sweep. Still, with Obama in control, I am holding my breath. Sure hope Romney performs like Reagan. It is terrible to have such a low, down low, opinion of Obama, but I just can't hide it. He's more deadly than the Spanish Flu.

WASHINGTON — Stepping into a heated debate within the nation’s intelligence agencies, President Obama has decided that when the National Security Agency discovers major flaws in Internet security, it should — in most circumstances — reveal them to assure that they will be fixed, rather than keep mum so that the flaws can be used in espionage or cyberattacks, senior administration officials said Saturday. But Mr. Obama carved a broad exception for “a clear national security or law enforcement need,” the officials said, a loophole that is likely to allow the N.S.A. to continue to exploit security flaws both to crack

It’s a common photoshop mistake:

ORLAND, Calif. – A tractor-trailer already was on fire as it came across a median and crashed into a tour bus, killing 10 people, according to a couple whose car was sideswiped by the big rig. Joe and Bonnie Duran were driving a sedan northbound on the 5 Freeway on Thursday when they said a FedEx truck heading south careened toward them, struck their rental car and crashed into the oncoming bus carrying high school students from Southern California. (Snip)Bonnie Duran, who was driving, told KNBC-TV in Los Angeles that flames were coming from the lower rear of the truck cab.

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
