International monitors at US
polling places draw criticism

United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, a concern raised by civil rights groups during a meeting this week. The intervention has drawn criticism from a prominent conservative-leaning group combating election fraud. The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers around the county on Election Day to monitor an array of activities,

This is beyond outrageous!

We have to WRITE, CALL, EMAIL or whatever it takes to tell Congress to put a stop to this!! This is unbelievable, even for the NAACP, the demonrat party and obama who are using the propaganda of "SUPPRESSION" to intimidate voters! Seriously?? WE are NOT a third world Country in need of "Monitors". Is there NO outrage left in this Country? WE have to STAND UP! Good Grief!

Just what we need, a bunch non citizens who hate our way of life telling us how to run a election. Throw them in jail or deport them, they do not belong near a polling place.

I think it is interesting that they are looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, yet it was a "liberal" group that was caught doing voter suppression in the last Presidential elections.

Sure we need polling monitors from the most crooked places on earth to tell us how good/bad our polling is in addition to the hordes of lawyers both sides have already hired. If we had positive photo voter ID this would show these people to be as ridiculous as training wheels on a tank.

wearing blue helmets, i presume..

ONE MILLION OF OUR POLL WATCHERS are necessary..
all with cameras..
or anything that LOOKS like a camera..
THAT will keep multiple and illegal voters away..
at least SOME of them..
ONE MILLION CAMERAS...

I have already asked for the day off on 11-6-12--and I (and hopefully some friends) will be spending it at my polling place ALL DAY LONG, looking for any irregularities.

God help any UN-type interlopers I see hanging around....Don't live in this precinct?--then get out!

Just in case any of these International Monitors are heading to Texas, they should know about our history of tarring and feathering and riding such folks out of town astride a sharp hickory rail. Not saying it would happen in this day and age, but....

I hope they are going to be stationed in the inner cities so they can see vans carrying the same group of dem voters to multiple voting districts. In America today the 1 man 1 vote only is for Republicans.

If our Congress is going to allow these catbirds to roam around the USA, then put 'em all on a bus, give them a box lunch and drive them down Interstate 95 from the UN to Philadelphia.

Whether Mitt Romney becomes the 45th president or not, Politico's Jonathan Martin insists that the Republican Party is on the verge of a looming crisis. Sticking with the same overgeneralized racist narrative, it is basically a 'fact' at this point that the GOP's conservative ideology and a lack of diversity will ultimately lead to its downfall. Conversely, the Democratic Party is poised to dominate in future elections. Nevermind that we heard this before in 2006 and 2008, with Clinton acolyte James Carville forecasted 40 years in the wilderness for the GOP. No, Martin insists that demography is destiny,

President Obama’s big rally tonight turned out to be just like his first, opening salvo of the 2012 campaign: a half-empty arena in Ohio. According toRealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out. As it turns out, the empty seats didn’t look exactly “scattered.” They looked like substantial portions of the upper bowl of the arena, according to photos tweeted by those in attendance:

Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday struggled to draw 1,000 people at two campaign events in Colorado, one of the most important swing states this election. Republicans in Colorado have said they have not seen this much enthusiasm for the top of a Republican ticket in a decade, which is a contrast from Democrats, who are seeing a diminished level of enthusiasm from 2008. At an event in Englewood, Colorado, Biden's crowd "fell just short of a thousand people"--while an event with Romney drew 18,000--and another Biden event drew 1,200 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Today, speaking in Concord, New Hampshire, trying to look bipartisan, Barack Obama made this incredible statement: “As long as I’m president, I’ll work with anybody.” He can’t be serious. For a start, let’s take a look at immigration reform. In June of this year, Sen. John McCain, who has always championed bipartisanship, said bitterly: “This idea that this president or his people reached out to me is patently false. To somehow allege that I didn’t somehow respond to their overtures, that’s patently false. That’s their narrative, and I understand their narrative, but it’s not substantiated by the facts.”

The Illinois Republican party claims early and absentee voting has precipitously fallen since the 2008 presidential election. According to the numbers, at this point in 2008, there were 260,376 early voters and 304,290 absentee voters. Now, the party maintains, there are 195,064 early voters and 46,232 absentee voters. That's a loss of 57 percent of voters, since the last election. This, the Illinois Republican party says, is a terrible sign for Democrats. "Chicago is the heart and soul of the Democratic Party," says Illinois Republican party chair Pat Brady. "You can't get much more solid blue than Chicago

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.
