| Nineteen days out from Election 2012 and are there’s a nagging unease making it feel like the proverbial lull before the storm. All check points from the latest polls show Governor Mitt Romney an impressive seven points ahead of President Barack Obama, something that even weeks ago seemed improbable. All maps are now showing a flickering light at the end of the long dark tunnel. The Pocket Messiah is treading, rather than walking on, water.

FTA; ... Catholic attendees laughed uproariously at Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s big event where you’d never know that ObamaCare’s birth control mandate will soon be the law of the land.
Hardly the 'offended Catholic Church hierchary'. Libs know when the chips are down, Catholics will not abandon them. I saw this through 12 years of Catholic schooling.

Is America’s almost four year long Obama nightmare really over?
Unfortunately, Obama is merely a symptom of the actual problem which the left has been brewing and nurturing for decades. A populace that actually prefers a Marxist to a capitalist. Getting rid of Obama only delays the inevitable, unless Romney is far more successful than my wildest dreams.
Another point I don't foresee. I think Obama will disappear if he loses, almost never to be heard from again. He is too lazy to do anything and unless he has massive adoring crowds cheering him on, he'll just sit on the beach in Hawaii.

FTA:"Even as the lull before the storm plays out, are the finishing touches being put on a false flag operation that would justify martial law and election suspension?" This makes me very, very nervous. I can imagine them trying this, but I can't imagine it will work. So, as I have repeated often, we need to pray, and get others to pray hard and often.

I agree with #3. I do not think we will see Obama on the national political scene at all. He obviously hated the job, and he also has been campaigning now since 2004. I think he is done. He was poison to other candidates so they will not want him around and he never even made friends of his own people in his won party. Like that one lady said who used to work for him, he does not like people. I think that is true. He will move to his new mansion in Hawaii, play golf with famous people like Jay-Z and George Clooney and hang out and be a celebrity.

#4, I am as worried as you are, right up until Romney gets sworn in on Jan 20, 2013.
The Libs are not going to go quietly, keep power at all costs is their motto !! Obama may give in, but Valerie Jarrett will have to be taken out kicking and screaming !!
I actually think that the Bengazi thing was a setup to make a situation that they could impose martial law. But it didn't go the way they wanted.
Obama is now trying to do a drone strike.... And of course the Terrorists will retaliate, possibly here in the US. What better time to declare Martial Law and suspend the elections.
Or, if it looks like things are going downhill in the elections, they could have an attack at a couple of polling stations (republican areas of course). Making it imperative that the elections are cancelled to protect the "citizens" !!!
Be vigilant, and watch the shadows for what the Libs are doing !!!

I'm hearing repulsive Hag Gloria All-Red and Axelroid are about to tee up a hit on Romney.
With Voters voting with their wallets and seeing just about nothing else, I doubt it'll have much impact, but rest assured, you have to know it's designed to strip women from Romney...
Cue Ann Romney, who will have to address it.

I've been worried about the possibility of martial law and a suspended election, since last year. As a result, I have done more prep and stockpiling than I did 13 years ago in the run-up to Y2K. I wouldn't put anything past the current incumbent, and I don't plan to starve or stand in a breadline, and neither will my loved ones.
Meanwhile, dried figs and hardtack anyone? There's plenty more in the basement! ;)

Too many trips to the well with "October surprises".
Too many "gotcha" moments that bombed or boomeranged.
Too many lies exposed and refuted.
Grit you teeth, gird your loins, vote -- and be sure you take those who can't vote to the polls (if they are for Romney).

Like #9, I was a Y2K-er and have been having similar feelings as the election draws near. With people like Soros and unrepentant terrorist, Bill Ayers lurking in the shadows, this leftist bunch won't be going away quietly or without a fight. I also remember all too well how they tried to destroy George W. Bush with the drunk driving story from many years ago right before the election.
Although all this taps into deep fears, it just makes me pray all the harder for God to intervene and save our country.
But I will also prepare for any potential wag-the-dog scenario or disaster a la my Y2K preparations. It also sounds like it may be a rough winter from the predictions I've been reading, so extra food, water, toilet paper, pet food, etc. is wise to have on hand anyway.

Consider the calculus here....a postponed election will result in a red-neck backlash of massive, gun totin', proportions.
But....a straight up massive voter fraud resulting an Obama landslide reminiscent of Soviet elections...87% Obama....would only be the next logical step in the de-sensitizing, reality crushing, constitution trashing, narrative shaping, re-programming that we all have been exposed to for four schizo years.
The massive voter fraud is a better play.
The martial law play will bring out the patriots.
The voter fraud play will only bring out the freakin' lawyers.
Barky wins.....4 more years.
.....and no more pesky elections.
...ever.

Keep an eye on Wisconsin. Massive voter fraud in the Milwaukee and Madison areas can be expected. Every one must get out and vote. America has wasted four years. Let's not waste another four.

I agree we all need to be vigilant for some phoney "crisis" to allow barky to stay on. He will max out on the voter fraud as well. Better call in Jimmy Carter to ensure a free and fair election/s.

O'bie is the boy who would be king. Unfortunately for him his blood line is that of a cur. He desires adulation, much as he perceives the rap stars and basketball heros to have. He hangs around them as a groupie, trying to pretend he's one of them but, alas for him, as soon as he loses the star importance of 'president,' they will, being real stars of their following, drop him like the proverbial hot rock. He will then slink away to give fund-raisers and appearances for a few years. And work on his library. Good riddance to bad trash!

Back in the salad days of President Barack Obama in the Oval Office, the first sign of the coming soft tyranny against We the People should have been the roughly 2000 car dealerships forced out of business by the anti-free enterprise cabal squatting on the White House. “It was Obama’s auto task force that pressed General Motors and Chrysler to close scores of dealerships without adequately considering the jobs that would be lost or having a firm idea of the cost savings that would be achieved, an audit of the process has concluded.”

Nobody drowned or died at Watergate. Nor was the First Amendment done away with. It’s time to quit referring to the White House’s current plethora of scandals as “Gates”. There is no Benghazi Gate. Watergate was a bungled break in. The Obama administration’s current round of scandals shouldn’t be diminished by comparisons to something as relatively trivial as Watergate. An American ambassador and three courageous Americans died at Benghazi and we still don’t have the slightest idea where the Commander in Chief was during the eight hour fire fight.

Do you ever wonder how Obama gets away with the most outrageous acts ever perpetrated by a sitting president with barely a nick to his reputation? Did you scratch your head when not a single Justice Department or ATF official went to jail for sending hundreds of guns over the border to Mexican drug lords with the expressed purpose of fomenting violent crime? Do you really think high ranking government officials are going to be held accountable for the now blazing IRS and Benghazi scandals? If these and other questions like them have been bothering you for the past few years,

It is now safe to say that if one cannot see the abject evil of the Obama administration as well as the endemic corruption and criminality in our federal government, it is only because they are refusing to look. Due to what some are calling a “perfect storm of circumstances, three scandals have rocked Washington, but these are only the grossest symptoms of the systemic infection that has been festering there for decades. Those such as myself who suspected on September 12, 2012 that the Obama administration’s narrative relative to the attack on the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya,

Armed by the arrogant confidence that comes via a protective circle of self-serving, back-scratching politicians (including Republican ones), who do nothing to deter his increasing taunts against all things American, President Barack Hussein Obama continues to publicly trash the cherished image of the military. Taking a leaf straight from the book of his overbearing wife, Michelle who used military members in full dress as props on the night she invaded living rooms via satellite from the White House to announce this year’s Best Picture, yesterday big brave BHO used Marines holding umbrellas to shelter both himself and

The term Liberal Redneck will strike progressives as an absurd contradiction. Yet, Conservatives will have an immediate, wearying familiarity with the angry, judgmental, uninformed and doctrinaire viewpoint of this group. In fact, the Liberal Redneck is every bit as small-minded, bigoted, dismissive, self-righteous, judgmental, uneducated and intolerant as the worst fundamentalist. The problem in America today is that there is never a level playing field offered for the discussion of ideas. Therefore, most important topics are only mentioned in a predetermined format. In other words, one can mention, for example—gay marriage,

The deadly, almost under-cover assassin of conservatism in America is not the Fundamental Transformation of America-pushing Barack Obama and the Democrats but Karl Rove and his big-money financiers. Conservatism is the dead man walking in the politics of America today, and there’s no way to revive the corpse as long as Karl Rove is still at the GOP helm. From the Truth-is-stranger-than-Fiction department: A brilliant May 8 piece in the New York Times by Thomas B. Edsall draws back the curtain on the forces battling for GOP control between the well-heeled establishment

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
