Voters don't like Nancy Pelosi
Washington Examiner (D.C.), by Paul Bedard

Democrats believe she is poised to become House speaker again, but American voters don't like Rep. Nancy Pelosi, at least when compared to the other congressional leaders. Rasmussen Reports tells Secrets that she suffers from a 53 percent unfavorable rating. Just 33 percent of likely voters view her favorably. Only Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has a lower favorable rating, 25 percent, but his unfavorables aren't as bad as Pelosi's, at 47 percent. Ratings of GOP leaders are not much better. House Speaker John Boehner's favorable/unfavorable rating is 32 percent/43 percent. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's are 29 percent/36 percent.

Comments:
I think most of us already knew this.

I was never a fan, but after that stunt I'd like to see her stuff that big ol' gavel past her head - metaphorically speaking, of course.

This is why I knew the minute the House Democrats voted to keep her their leader following their 2010 losses that the Republicans would have no problem retaining control of the House in 2012, regardless of how the Presidential race turned out. All a Republican elected in 2010 in a swing district needs to do this time around to keep his or her seat is to run an ad pointing out that voting for his or her opponent means voting to bring back Pelosi as Speaker.

I live in Boehners District, and my only complaint with him is that he isn't tough enough on the Dhimms in Congress!

OMG! These people are barking loons!

Yet she's in a very safe Dem district. Another poster child for term limits and spokesperson for the insane.

But the voters who count keep putting her back in Congress.

The real mystery is why the Democrats select her as their leader.

What's to like? Her special day is coming up the end of the month though.

Ms pelosi blatantly lied about Obamacare. A recent notice from my health insurance carrier indicated a 14% increase in premiums 2013, the largest percentage increase since I joined over 25 years ago. Health care costs are going UP.

#5 "Yet she's in a very safe Dem district. Another poster child for term limits and spokesperson for the insane.."

I think I saw once that her district is the waterfront area of San Francisco.

@#5: Pelosi`s district is the entire 49 sq mi area of San Francisco.

If Naggy had remained Speaker the past 2 years we would be on Stimulus #10 by now and 25 trillion in debt instead of 16 trillion. She wants that airplane back so badly it`s driving her crazier than she already is.

Snowballs chance in hell of the Dems winning the house. If she does not get it this time - she will retire. No sense taking the chance that she gets caught further with her the her hubby's hand in the cookie jar. Plus, her underlings see these surveys and will want to push her out / away. Plus, she'll have plenty of time for more plastic surgery!

Its too bad we can't start a recall petition from another state.

Earlier this week I wrote a piece about how Barack Obama was criticizing “Washington’s priorities” and the IRS scandal, as if he had not been president for the past four years and four months. There is something brazen and audacious in even attempting something like this. I speculated that Mr. Obama is unable to take responsibility for the problems that have occurred on his watch for reasons rooted in cognitive dissonance (failures cannot possibly happen on the watch of the Great and Mighty Obama). He is engaged in what psychiatrists call disassociation

A California Tea Party group has become the first to sue the Internal Revenue Service over the targeting of conservative groups. The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots alleges that the IRS violated the constitutional rights of the group by applying "intensive and intrusive scrutiny" when they applied for tax-exempt status. “NorCal and its members suffered years of delay and expense while awaiting the exemption and spending valuable time and money answering the IRS´ questions.

I’ve always been an admirer of President Barack Obama. One can only marvel at a man who writes his autobiography before he does anything noteworthy. Some critics have labeled him a narcissist, but I say it’s just good, old American can-do attitude. You have to appreciate a man who has never experienced the complexities of a paper route or the discipline of the Boy Scouts becoming President, and leading the world’s largest economy and commanding history’s most powerful military. Upon taking command, he was faced with severe economic troubles, due to the actions of Presidents Carter

One of many good things you can say about President Obama is that he is loyal to his friends. But sometimes, he is loyal to a fault, as is the case with Attorney General Eric Holder. Presidential buddy or not, it’s time for Holder to go. You expect a Democratic attorney general to make Republicans unhappy — which Holder has, on several fronts. He was even held in contempt of Congress by House Republicans over the “Fast and Furious” gun-walking scandal.

DETROIT — Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has told a Detroit church audience that African Americans should pool their money and buy up property as a way to save the city.(snip) The leader of the Chicago-based movement says Christian ministers shouldn´t compromise in their opposition to gay marriage. He says there should be unity between Christians and Muslims because both faiths revere Jesus. He also says he isn´t anti-Semitic, citing the fact he´s "never been arrested, not even for spitting on a sidewalk" and has never defaced a synagogue.

Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), the Senate Finance Committee Chairman, predicted in an interview airing Sunday that the scandal surrounding the Internal Revenue Service selectively targeting conservative political groups will grow. “I have a hunch that a lot more is going to come out, frankly,” Baucus told Bloomberg News. “It’s broader than the current focus.” Steven Miller, the acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service who was ousted earlier this week, is testifying Friday before the House Ways and Means committee in what is expected to be the first of many congressional grillings over the scandal.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care?
