| WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — To prepare for the second round of the presidential debates, President Obama retreated here this weekend — to the environs of this historic village where actors in 18th century garb wander about spouting off in colonial diction.(snip) This time, instead of focusing on the nuts and bolts of debate facts — no one thinks the president needs to bone up on American troop withdrawals from Afghanistan’s Korengal Valley, for instance — Mr. Obama is practicing how to challenge Mr. Romney, something he inexplicably shied away from in Denver

Comments: Baloney- As the old legal aphorism goes: "If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have neither on your side, pound the table." I think we're going to see a lot of table pounding from our Charlatan-in-Chief on Tuesday

Betcha he takes a page out of Uncle Joe's playbook and starts smirking and laughing at Romney. His base is clamoring for it, so give it to them...

Sounds like 0bama is plotting even more theatrics in his continuing futile effort to rationalize his abysmal policies throughout the past 4 years. ...In other words, the empty chair will now be going into a Bart Simpson, 'Ya can't blame me,' mode, eh?
Pathetic.

Sure are a lot of heroic obama debate prep stories spewing from Williamsburg tonight. That tells me Axelrod is worried. I wonder what's hitting the news Monday night or Tuesday morning?

~~“This isn’t a guy who needs be grilled on facts,” one Obama aide said of the president. “What he needs to work on is stylistic.” Translation: how to accuse Mr. Romney of twisting the facts without seeming rude.~~
Accusations.....that's all he knows how to do. Facts....what a laugh.

' “This isn’t a guy who needs be grilled on facts,” one Obama aide said of the president.'' - article. What a joke. 0bama is the most ignorant man to ever have been president. He doesn't know what's going on around him nor even what's in the bills he signs. All they can do is try to program 0bama with some snappy comebacks and attack lines. But they can't make him think.

Wait a second, if he can't have his telepromtors, then look for the plants in the audience, Crowly helping, or an ear piece. Or he might pull a Hillary, and already know the questions!!!

The PBS thing is actually an example on how a lot of government spending is on auto pilot, whether the recipient needs it or not. There's all kinds of people in NY who get some form of farming check. These kinds of things need to be put under a micro exam and deleted if they're not really needed.

Michelle Obama visited the slave quarters at Decatur House — a red-brick structure that sits in the shadow of the White House — that once housed the black men and women who served 19th century politicians, military and business leaders who lived in the property. The first lady, who is the nation’s only first lady to have descended from people held in slavery, made the stop as part of an announcement that the historic Decatur House

BUFFALO — A western New York man has pleaded guilty to filing more than 100 tax returns under the names of people who had recently died. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Buffalo says 42-year-old John Berry Jr. of Dunkirk pleaded guilty Tuesday to making a false claim against the United States. Prosecutors say he filed 122 false income tax returns in 2008 and 2009 seeking refunds totaling $218,000. Authorities say more than $92,000 was deposited directly into his bank account. Berry faces up to five years in prison when he’s sentenced in August.

Two Republican governors are urging President Barack Obama to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Internal Revenue Service´s admission that it targeted conservative political groups. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker call the allegations "Big Brother come to life." They want a special prosecutor to find out if any laws were broken and say Obama should fire any IRS employees responsible for the situation. The IRS has apologized for what it calls "inappropriate" targeting of conservative political groups. The agency targeted groups during the 2010 congressional elections and the 2012 presidential election.

In recent weeks, scandal after scandal has rocked Barack Obama’s administration. His presidency might be imperiled. Or it might not be.(snip)Doubtless, Obama did not want for any of these scandals to come to light. Now that they’ve arisen, though, they can be exploited to depict himself as a Washington outsider and his Republican nemeses as “the establishment” that has vowed to destroy him. Potentially, this strategy trades off short-term loss for long-term gain. Again, Alinsky is instructive here: “If by losing in a certain action” the organizer “can get more members than by winning

America should end its intervention in Syria or shift its support to President Bashir Assad. Iraq-based al Qaeda militants now control the rebellion. A shadowy terrorist named Baghdadi has moved from Iraq to northern Syria to control al Qaeda’s operations there. He is a grotesque savage, determined to compel acceptance of radical Islam through religious courts and executions.(snip)U.S. military intervention ended badly in Libya. Our ambassador was killed, and 20,000 Libyan anti-aircraft missiles went missing; they may still be in rebel hands. If al Qaeda topples Syria, they will capture large stocks of chemical weapons

The Obama administration has an enemies list, and John Dodson was on it. The special agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) infuriated his superiors by alerting Congress and everyone else about the government’s gunrunning scheme called Fast and Furious. He had to pay for his act of good citizenship. The Justice Department’s inspector general concluded Monday that a high-ranking political appointee destroyed Mr. Dodson’s credibility and ruined a career. The Justice Department scheme, to allow criminals and gangbangers to purchase guns in the United States and slip them across the border

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care?
