Obama Team Promises
‘Interesting Debate’

ABC News, by Nehemiah Mekonnen & David Kerley

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 10/14/2012 10:01:03 PM

President Obama is once again engaged in intense debate preparation at his resort in Williamsburg, Va., getting ready for his rematch with Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. “I’m not going to get into details about strategic changes that he might make. But I just encourage you to watch and show up. I think it will be an interesting debate,” Obama senior campaign strategist David Axelrod said. The president is under pressure to make a strong showing in the rematch, especially after polls are beginning to show Romney edging closer to Obama in the swing states.

I like that..."edging closer in the swing states.." Axelrod whistling past the graveyard. I will be so glad when he goes away...but he probably will accept a position with Fox!

I think Mitt was ready for the Bain Capital / class warfare attack strategy in the first debate. If 0bama tries it this time, it will be Biden/Ryan redux - the angry dopes of the left will suck it up and the majority of America will reject it. 0bama's entire campaign (career actually) has been targeted at the dummy vote and me's maxed out in that area already.

Correction - only Romney will make it interesting. I do not find being lied to the least bit interesting.

I hope Romney brings up Hillary's old "3 o'clock phone call' meme...and tells Obama using Call Forward (to Hillary) isn't allowed!

#1, there's an easy fix for that. Don't watch.

Zero can't even act humble so aggression is his only way. Coke has to be refreshed about every 20 minutes so that's out. Speed makes you sweat and veins bulge so that's out. He'll probably just hit the Xanax again and hope things turn out better this time. Same way he's governed for the last 3 1/2 years.

obama needs no help from Axelrod in how to lie. This is truly a case where the student is better than the teacher.

as strong and smart as i believe romney is, never, ever underestimate the plotting, conniving and mean-spirited teamobama. as much as they (the democrats) have infuriated and disgusted me in the past four years, i never would have believed that biden would have behaved as he did last week on the debate "stage" with ryan. he, of course, behaved that way to distract and get ryan off his game. this tactic of ridicule and interruption will be done again, albeit this time, more subtly. the other thing that scares me to death is that something could "happen" to romney before this election. an accident, of course, but unproveable. so, that's where i am these days. suspicious, hopeful, angry, anticipatory, and i guess in need of a little medication!

Translation: after seeing the lies Biden spewed out minute by minute the 0bama staff has crafted some even bigger whoppers. I wouldn't be surprised if 0bama turns out to have been born in a log cabin in Hawaii in a manger surrounded by native donkeys.

More trash talk. In the meantime Romney feels no need to pre-announce his intentions for the debate.

The way the media is spinning this whole debate prep, I would not be surprised if Leno went out after the debate and asked which participant is the incumbent and which one is the challenger and a plurality of respondents believe that Mitt Romney is actually the president.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service and other federal agencies awarded about $415,000 in contracts to a license plate-tracking company before Homeland Security leaders dropped a plan for similar work amid privacy complaints. Federal offices such as the Forest Service and the U.S. Air Force´s Air Combat Command chose Livermore, Calif.-based Vigilant Solutions to provide access to license plate databases or tools used to collect plate information, according to government procurement records compiled by Bloomberg. Vigilant, a closely held company, has received such work since 2009. In February, Jeh Johnson, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

WASHINGTON— A Western official says the United States is considering deploying about 150 soldiers for military exercises to begin in Poland and Estonia in the next few weeks. The exercises would follow Russia´s buildup of forces near its border with Ukraine and its annexation last month of Ukraine´s Crimean Peninsula. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said earlier this week that the U.S. is looking for ways to reassure its NATO allies of its strong commitment to collective defense. The Western official says ground exercises in Poland and Estonia would last about two weeks but that such exercises would continue on a

This week’s POLITICO Magazine contains an uncharacteristic show of gratitude from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to President Barack Obama. Under the headline “A bipartisan message to Iran,” the senator thanks the president for signing his S 2195 bill into law, which prevents anyone who has engaged in espionage or terrorism against the U.S. from gaining entry to the country via the United Nations. “Thanks to President Obama for joining a unanimous Congress and signing S 2195 into law,” Cruz begins his piece. By giving the president “the authority to deny visas to United Nations ambassadors who are known terrorists,” he

U.S. Border Control agents detained 147 people suspected of being in the country illegally from a stash house Thursday afternoon in Alton — shortly after 81 people were found hiding in makeshift huts in McAllen. The 147 people were discovered in a house at the 8900 block of North Bentsen Palm Drive. Border Patrol spokesman Danny Tirado said he didn’t recall the exact time of the bust, but said it was not too long after the 81 people were found in a brushy area of McAllen northwest of Sprague and North 10th Street about 1 p.m. The 147 people detained

Reports are flying across the Internet about the possibility that Apple’s satellite map app just snapped a pic of the elusive “Loch Ness monster.” Long speculated to be a relative of the dinosaur-era plesiosaur, many have chalked the rumors up to baseless monster talk. Until now. (Photograph) Could this satellite imagery hold a clue that scientists on the hunt have been missing? Could the Loch Ness monster be real?

Bunkersville, Nevada — Cliven Bundy’s ranch, recently the site of a tense stand-off that started over two weeks ago between the federal government and the Bundy family, had morphed into a good old-fashioned family picnic complete with live country music, hamburgers, and hotdogs Friday. A week after the Bureau of Land Management’s armed force left Bunkersville, Bundy and his supporters continue to make the family’s case relating to Bundy’s right to graze his cattle on public land his family has been on for many years. Bundy told Breitbart News the only communication he has received from the BLM recently has been

The president´s speeches may need to be accompanied by a laugh track from now on, considering the crickets he received at his appearance in Community College of Allegheny County, in Oakdale, Pa., on Wednesday. Although he tried to tout his new spending program, both Obama´s talking points and attempts at humor didn´t go over so well: At the end, when the president walked back from the podium to smile and wave at the roughly 60 people in the bleachers 20 feet behind him, he faced a unfriendly wall of faces. The White House video of the bleacher’s front rank shows three men with their hands crossed, one with his hands stuck

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our
