Axelrod Refuses to Say Whether
Obama Met with Nat’l Security Team
Before Heading to Las Vegas

After David Axelrod’s repeated assurances this morning on Fox News Sunday that “there isn’t anybody on this planet” who feels a greater sense of responsibility for our diplomats than this President, Chris Wallace asked how soon after the Benghazi attacks the President actually met with his national security team. Wallace followed up on Axelrod’s non-answer by asking whether the President managed to squeeze in a meeting with the National Security Council before jetting off to Las Vegas for a campaign rally. Given Axelrod’s inability to produce a straightforward answer to the questions, it’s pretty clear the answer

Almost as satisfying as getting rid of Obama will be never having to see and hear David Axelrod again!

I heard that, too; although I heard Wallace's question more to the point of, "has Obama met with his security council since the attack?"

No matter what the question was, Axelrod did not answer.

#1 was right, the best part of November 7, will be no more Axelrod! Or at least knowing Axe's days are numbered.

I know I heard or read somewhere a few weeks ago, that obama even went to bed that night, while the embassy was still under attack. Has anyone else seen or heard that or did I just imagine it?

Now you know why Obama doesn't hold face-to-face interviews or press conferences - he'd have to answer questions without his teleprompter.

Will be interesting to see how he does in the next debate since he's spending 4 days cramming for it.

Romney should state Obama has played golf more than he's met with his national security team, held Cabinet meetings and press conferences combined.

I'm waiting for some brave soul to disclose that Obie would have found out about the dire situation in Libya over the long months of daily presidential briefings that he decided not to attend.

Axelrod was reluctant to admit to Wallace that members of the intelligence group talked Obama out of attending the WH briefing for fear that he would personally lead the helicopter assault on the Los Angeles video producer. "Mr President, we need you with the back-up team in Las Vegas in case the armed federal marshals encounter resistance from his agent and his make-up artist. The Vegas fund raiser serves as a perfect cover story."

National Security's above his pay grade. In the state dept statement they said an agent called Washington during the attack. I want to know if they tried calling the WH and if so who answered.

If he didn't say, Obama didn't meet with the Security Team. If he had, we'd be treated to a whole other scenario, much of it false of course.

Four dead Americans. Obama and Hillary are from Chicago. There are murders every night there. They don't seem to care. It is just a bump in the road back to the WH so more of our money can pay for their pleasures. The entire Obama regime acts like the Keystone Cops stumbling and bumbling all over themselves and each other. Of course Obama never met with Nat'l Security.

I'm disappointed Chris didn't nail Axe to the wall following his second blow off of the question. He should have said, "Since you refuse to answer my question regarding when BHO first met with the NSC, I must assume that he didn't." Then watch Axe bluster and blather on.

Isn't it true, that since somewhere near the first debate, Romney & Ryan have been receiving the same national security briefings that Obama & Biden have been offered??? And, if so, Romney/Ryan have known the Truth in 'real time,' but are keeping their mouths closed for security?
Am I wrong?

WASHINGTON — Stepping into a heated debate within the nation’s intelligence agencies, President Obama has decided that when the National Security Agency discovers major flaws in Internet security, it should — in most circumstances — reveal them to assure that they will be fixed, rather than keep mum so that the flaws can be used in espionage or cyberattacks, senior administration officials said Saturday. But Mr. Obama carved a broad exception for “a clear national security or law enforcement need,” the officials said, a loophole that is likely to allow the N.S.A. to continue to exploit security flaws both to crack

LAS VEGAS -- The Bureau of Land Management has announced it will stop the roundup of cattle owned by rancher Cliven Bundy. The BLM says the animals have been illegally grazing on public lands for 20 years. The BLM made the announcement Saturday morning, a week after rangers started gathering the animals from land near Gold Butte. The agency says it is concerned about the safety of its employees and the public. Earlier this week, BLM officers and supporters of the Bundy family were involved in a scuffle. Cliven Bundy´s son, Ammon Bundy, was tased twice by federal agents. Another woman said

Joe and Bonnie Duran were driving a sedan northbound on the 5 Freeway on Thursday when they said a FedEx truck heading south careened toward them, struck their rental car and crashed into the oncoming bus carrying high school students from Southern California. The teens responsible for the mob violence in downtown Louisville last month were members of a gang of middle-school students, according to an FBI memo distributed to law enforcement agencies. The memo, which the FBI says was based on "unverified intelligence," says that the gang — "Young ´N Off That," or YNO, was organized last summer at Frost Middle School but spread to other schools, and that its members are "armed in a major way." The FBI memo also says there have been "rumblings" about the gang showing up in large numbers May 1 at the Kentucky Derby Festival Pegasus Parade. Louisville

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it
