| Earlier today, I conjectured that the Obama campaign may be out of attack lines to use against Mitt Romney. After Obama's disastrous debate on October 3rd, it was remarkable that his campaign didn't try to launch any new attacks or create any new diversions to change the media narrative. I wondered that, perhaps, he was out of bullets. Turns out I was right. Politico is reporting that the Obama campaign is going to go back to the issue of Mitt Romney's tax returns. They have unveiled a new 30-second ad on Mitt's taxes to run in several swing states. Um, Obama campaign, you did this once

The hardcore still support him. One Lib turned off the first debate after 5 minutes, claiming that Mitt was lying. Our minister today called himself "one of the 47%" and said that people only want to vote for Romney because he's rich. (He alienated the entire congregation -- this is rural America.) Dems don't know that Obama is rich and had a comparatively privileged youth? Dems don't care for facts.

Mitt is so evil that he gave away a third of his income to charity instead of giving it to Obama to spend on Big Bird. That sounds like a winning campaign slogan.

The Romney campaign should point out that these tax returns are also Mrs. Romney's tax returns, and she has no obligation to disclose anything.

It is so hypocritical of them to criticize Romney and his tax returns when everyone of these weasels has both the legal right and the ability to pay more if they feel so guilty about the amount they pay. They publically support the Occupy movement in front of a camera yet the media fails to point out that many of them are tax cheats that simply talk out of both sides of the mouth!

Mitt should offer to trade a year of tax returns for a real birth certificate, and transcript of one school, and then another return for another school or explanation of his SS number, and so on.
Maybe Obama could also throw in his and Michelle's thesis.

An IRS supervisor working in Washington told congressional investigators that she personally reviewed applications from groups for tax-exempt status, in testimony that appears to show the agency’s scrutiny of conservative groups extended beyond the confines of the office in Cincinnati. Holly Paz, who was a supervisor in the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-exempt status division, indicated during an interview with congressional investigators that she did review such applications, but indicated that she believed “tea party” meant political advocacy in general — not necessarily conservative groups.

The Supreme Court ruled today in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council that federal law does not allow states the option of requiring voters to prove they are American citizens when they register to vote. Syria is turning out to be a sort of Spanish Civil War of our age, with Hezbollah and Iran playing the role of fascist Italy and Germany, and the Islamic nations and jihadists that of Stalin’s Russia, as the moderates disappear and the messy conflict becomes a proxy war for greater powers, with worse to come. There were always problems for the Obama administration intervening in Syria besides the usual bad/worse choices in the Middle East between authoritarianism and Islamic extremism and the president’s own preference for sonorous sermons rather than rapid action
