Romney says White House is
‘doubling down on denial’
about Libya attack

Washington Post, by Anne Gearan

Republicans escalated their charges against the Obama administration for alleged failures in handling last month’s Libya attack, thrusting the death of the U.S. ambassador there into the center of the presidential campaign Friday. Mitt Romney accused his rival of “doubling down on denial” about the true origins of the Sept. 11 siege in Benghazi, which senior Obama officials initially said appeared to be an outgrowth of anti-American protests, not terrorism. Whether the administration has truthfully disclosed what it knew about the perpetrators of the attacks became a flash point

Hillary sets up a straw man - 'we never said we had all the answers.' (NO one said they did - all they did was send the dimwitted susan rice out to lie. That is almost as bad as al quaeda finding retarded children to become suicide bombers.)

Charlene Lamb at the State Dept. watched the attack in REAL TIME and was in communication with those in Benghazi. This came out at the hearing on Wednesday. It was known immediately that the "protest" was fictional.

Tonight for the first time I heard that they needed to send in a second rescue plane because there wasn't enough room for everyone in the first plane.

We still are being lied to and information is being withheld in the hopes of running out the clock until after the election.

Benghazzi had a plane that was taken away from them against their wishes. These murders did not need to happen.

The US State Department spent tens of thousands of dollars on a re-charging station for Chevy Volts at Vienna's US Embassy and REPEATEDLY DENIED added security for the consulate in Benghazi? They used four-dollar- an-hour unarmed guards to secure that Libyan consulate?

Shame.

I am not sure which group thrown under the bus is more dangerous for Obama/Biden.
If you say that the white house was ignorant of the request and resulting denial for more security in Benghazi, in means that Hillary did not know what her organization was doing. Or perhaps she knew but the white house got no information in their briefing.
If you say the "intelligence community" did not know what was going on in Benghazi, you have some really angry spooks out there.
Just own it fellas!

Again, this administration is NOT merely incompetent ... they are evil. There is something afoot here that goes beyond our imaginations.

My theory is that the October Surprise was commenced a month earlier, in September, on the 11th no less. I'll even go so far as to say the Cairo upheaval was instigated at the same time for the same reason.

Global security expert Tony Shaffer was just on Fox and Friends, and he said he reviewed the entire hearing again. According to him, THERE ARE CLUES in the answers given that tell him this will blow wide open within the next 3 weeks. Our intel agencies are NOT going down at the manipulation of this White House team. I sensed clues were being given at the time, but I'm not a super-smart and I can't put my finger on them and tie them up. But I'll guaran-dang-tee that it's bad and it leads DIRECTLY back to the top, the VERY top.

Shaffer also said there were things going on in that consulate in Benghazi that needed to be denied, destroyed, covered up. Whether poor Ambassador Stevens was intentionally killed (RAPED and killed!) is a big question I have.

Was this all staged? Why?! Pre-election martial law here? Cancellation of the election altogether?

We are witnessing a presidential race that is Good vs. Evil personified.

I want answers, and I want them IMMEDIATELY. Issa needs another hearing, ASAP.

... So, if the State Department and intelligence community were doing their jobs, the security requests and reasons given by the Lybian embassy would have been part of the daily presidential briefings. Right?
... So, if this president were doing his job, he would have known that security was denied. Then, of course, he would have been informed of the beginning attacks. Right?
... So, for the White House to keep denying they knew ANYTHING is an admission that they are not paying attention to the Middle East terrorism against the U.S. and are not interested.

I saw the Shaffer interview on Fox and Friends as well. Shaffer said he has been hearing from many in the intelligence community he has never spoken with before.
He said the administration is covering up something that will make them look very bad in the eyes of the American people. My impression was that Mr Shaffer knew what it would be, and he seemed to indicate it could come out in the next few weeks.
A Congressman from PA who serves on the oversight committee was also on later and said the budget for State had been increased by five million dollars for 2012 due to concerns in the Middle East. He said the priorities at State seemed to be off since they were spending large in European embassies for Chevy Volts and charging stations, to impress the EU, instead of for security for ambassadors in unsafe places.

The most important mission for Paul Ryan during the vice-presidential debate was to get the administration on the record on three things; why did the white house say it was not a terrorist attack, who told them this, and who denied the request for more security by the ambassador.
Ryan was about 75% successful. In the course of the debate, he got Biden on record that the intelligence agencies told the white house the attack grew out of an anti-video demonstration. That can be verified. Basically Biden threw the CIA under the bus. I doubt that they will take that lying down. Watch for "leaks" over the next week. Biden tried to lie about when the white house knew it was a terrorist attack, again, this is going to come out, most likely that they knew within 24 hours it was a terrorist attack.
Lastly, Biden finished up by throwing the state department (Hilary) under the bus, for not approving additional security for the ambassador.
These things are important for the next debate. Romney has the opportunity here to demand Obama fire Hillary for incompetence leading to the death of the ambassador. Obama can either fire her, which I don't see him doing, since he would have to face Bubba's wrath, or not fire her, and get hammered big time. I can see a future transcript of the upcoming debate:

-Romney "It seems Mrs Clintons job is a lot safer than the ambassador ever was." "Harry Truman used to say 'the buck stops here'. President Obama wants us to believe the buck never got here."

Biden was playing checkers on Thursday, Romney/Ryan were playing chess.

The truth will come out in the 'next few weeks'? Never mind running out the clock to attempt to save Obama's scrawny butt. We need it NOW, before Nov. 6.

The entire administration, all three branches, are setting new records for incompetence if not outright criminal behavior. Obama strutted around crowing that he killed bin Laden without having any idea that he was bear-baiting? Is he really that stupid or was it his intention to put the situation in Libya on high simmer?

As was inevitable, it boiled over, right on time, and the circular finger-pointing is in full swing.

There are people who know the truth - why not come out with it now? Does anyone care about this country at all?

This is what you are missing. The President -- at the U.N. no less -- declares the revolt, rape, killing, and burning in Benghazi and elsewhere, to be the result of a Muslim "insulting" video. Clearly this is not true. But it is now irrelevant because he also said that the "future does not belong to those who slander [blaspheme]the prophet of Islam." What he has done is more than cover lying to cover his butt. He has collaborated in, and justified the murder of every non-dhimmified Christian who dares to profess his faith. If you say that Jesus Christ is God's essence and His only begotten Son, who saves us from sin, and tells us "There is no other way under God given among men whereby we must be saved" -- you slander the prophet of Islam. Al-Qaida just declared war on America and Israel, following Obama's casis belli at the U.N. So this "amateurish" man, who wears a ring with the Shahada on it, has given aid and comfort to the enemy. Would this be treason, Mr. Krauthammer? Obama is counting on the media voices and Congress to do nothing, because they are compromised, corrupt, fellow travellers. or "lacking in all conviction" and Biblical understanding. He is probably correct. But he also expects to be re-elected for the same reasons. Do not underestimate his strategy.

FYI, I happen to be visiting Davis, California, home of a branch of the University of California. Here there are five registered Democrats for every registered Republicans, so sporting a Republican bumper sticker invites getting your car keyed, at the very least.
In 2008, there were thousands of Obama bumper stickers. In 2012, I've seen only one or two. I wish that meant that Democrats have come to (what's left of) their senses, but I doubt it.

If Romney has been briefed since 9-11-12 as declared he already has the proof of the doubling down.He however has to let others out the truth because he has to maintain classified status.
This also gives the intelligence officials the back up they need to make the administration crumble.

It's just too sad that we don't all realize how wonderful zero is:

"In today’s Washington Post, I quote NSC spokesman Tommy Vietor as explaining why his boss has skipped more than half his daily intelligence meetings since taking office – including every day in the week leading up to the attacks on our diplomatic facilities in Egypt and Libya: Obama, they say, doesn’t need briefers because he is just so much smarter than everyone else. As Vietor put it to me in an email, “Unlike your former boss [President Bush], he has it delivered to his residence in the morning and not briefed to him.”

The White House takes pride in the fact that Obama’s PDB is “not briefed to him” – because, they say, he is “among the most sophisticated consumers of intelligence on the planet.” That hubris brings to mind this revealing quote from a September 2008 New York Times profile of Obama:

“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters,” Mr. Obama told Patrick Gaspard, his political director, at the start of the 2008 campaign, according to The New Yorker. “I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m going to think I’m a better political director than my political director.”

So it should come as no surprise that apparently Barack Obama thinks he’s a better intelligence briefer than his intelligence briefers."

For the long-term unemployed, finding a job is hard — but keeping one may be even harder. New research tracking people who have been out of work for six months or longer found that 23 percent of them landed a job within a few months of the study. But a year later, more than a third of that group was unemployed again or out of the labor force altogether. The findings are the latest in a bleak but growing body of literature suggesting long-term unemployment has become a trap that is difficult to escape. Economists say that means the long-term unemployed could become a permanent underclass, left behind by the nation’s broader

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters.
