after DNC promise

A spokesman for the Obama campaign told Eyewitness News that as of Friday there are no plans for President Barack Obama to return to Charlotte and honor the promise he made during the Democratic National Convention to return after his speech was moved indoors.(snip)I have my ticket, my golden ticket,” said Lakisha Lucky, who still carries her ticket to Bank of America stadium in her car. Lucky hopes the president honors the promise he made the day they canceled events at the stadium.

Comments:
Lakisha doesn't get it....I doubt she ever will, but then again that's why she's an 0bama supporter.

Maybe he will do it in the late Spring of 2013 when he has a lot of time on his hands.

Well, maybe not, as he will not have Ear Force One at his disposal after January.

They expect that self centered goof-off of a President to honor a promise? Hilarious! He plays everyone for suckers; His granny, his uncle, his half brother, Pelosi, Reid, the American public - what chance do his blind trust followers have?

"Honor the promise." Obama. Now that's a punchline.

FTA: Lakisha Lucky

"Lucky." Like those dogs that get "neutered," and cats that discover the "nine lives" story is a myth about half-way across a lane on the Interstate.

CIA is quietly ramping up aid

The U.S. is providing more arms and training to the moderate rebels in Syria, under a growing secret program run by the CIA in Jordan. Sources tell NPR that secret program could be supplemented by a more public effort in the coming months involving American military trainers. The change in strategy comes as the White House sees Syrian leader Bashar Assad growing in strength, and continuing to strike rebel strongholds. Another factor: Russian leaders appear unwilling to help end the three-year-old civil war and are continuing to provide weapons to Assad. Finally, al-Qaida fighters and their allies are expanding in Syria, a

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used remarks at a women´s leadership conference in Boston to urge more female participation and, in a new comment for the former first lady, pushed to end age discrimination of women.(snip)She added: "There’s an army and frankly a very large group of older women who could make a difference to America’s corporations, America’s business, academia, politics, you name it. So I think we have to be supporting these different life choices and breaking down, which often go hand-in-hand with the stereotypes we’re talking about."

Kim Jong-un has taken on his role as North Korea’s Supreme Leader with gusto — even, if reports are to be believed, culling some members of his own family. He expects his people to follow his lead — from haircuts through to behaviour and rarely shows his relaxed side. That is until he gets mobbed. By females. Specifically, hot Korean ladies. Just moments earlier he showed his formal, restrained side by posing alongside members of the Korean People’s Army. Then the admirers came running. We’ve never seen Kimmy’s smile so wide. He bathed in the female attention.

WASHINGTON — According to a new study, commissioned by the federal government, says that biofuels made from the leftovers of harvested corn plants are actually worse than gasoline -- when it comes to global warming in the short term. The research published in the journal Nature Climate Change challenges the Obama administration´s conclusions that biofuels are a much cleaner oil alternative and will help fight climate change. The study is being criticized by the biofuels industry and Obama administration as flawed. Corn residue is one of the most promising ways to make cellulosic biofuels. Biofuels have struggled to reach the volumes

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. Public Trust: Sixty-one percent polled say President Obama lies "some of the time" or "most of the time" on matters of national importance. Americans have to ask: Why do we let him get away with it? It´s no surprise that a Fox News poll of 1,012 registered voters last week found immense distrust of a president whose main domestic initiative was based on a lie. The shock is that the same poll found his disapproval level down to its lowest since last fall. Asked, "How often do you think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters?" 37% replied "most of

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning
