The terrifying world of child

At age 11, Ghulam was married off to 40-year-old Jaiz in a rural Afghan village, making her only one of more than 10 million young girls who are being forced to wed men old enough to be their fathers or grandfather every year. In an effort to start a global conversation about the devastating effects of early marriages, which are currently practiced in more than 50 developing countries, the United Nations designated October 11 as International Day of the Girl Child this year. To mark the occasion and draw attention to the problem of child brides, photojournalist Stephanie Sinclair

Comments:
Where's Miss Hillary and all her leftist women who are such defenders of women's rights?? These are the people 0bama is so quick to defend?? Instead they appease these savages. This is just absolutely sickening. If you criticize them and their appalling, disgusting behavior you are threatened with murder. How do you ever reason with people who have these values. The world is indeed upside down.

Oh my God, this is horrific! They're babies!
I truly hate liberal women and their double standards. All of them should be sent to Afghanistan for a year. We'll see how liberal they are then.

Truly disgusting!

Multiculturalism in the U.S. teaches our children that this type of behavior is justified.

All cultures are equal my ***. I`ve seen better cultures in a petri dish.

There aren`t enough psychiatrists in the nation to undo the damage done by liberals and their insanity.

Stinky filthy old men. Boy, and do they age over there. That one guy is my age and my 83 year old dad looks younger than he is. Imagine the sheer terror of being married, then forced to have sex with, and be forever chained to, one of these smelly old perverts.

I don't believe in an actual, classic Hell. I believe it is right here on Earth, right in those pictures.

Disgusting. My nephew returned from a tour there and said he thought most of the old perverts favored 10 year old boys. The Afghans' goats and camels are more civilized than these barbarians.

Why are they marrying 10 year old girls? Are there no women closer to their own age? This is perverted and absolutely sickening. I wonder how many of these poor children die in childbirth? Can you imagine being that age and this disgusting man crawls into bed with you so you can perform your "wifely duties'? I could just cry. But we are told all cultures are the same. So the problem must be with me in not understanding?

Reply 12 - Posted by: LadyHen, 10/12/2012 1:30:59 PM     (No. 8928587)

And don't think that they aren't sexually abusing these poor pre-pubescent girls because we all know they are. They are not waiting until they can bear children to force themselves on them. Just revolting.

At least the arranged marriages of 2 children will result in 2 like aged people being married eventually. Still difficult to understand but at least you can see a possibility for happiness there.

A 5 year old little girl and a 40 year old man?!!! What kind of sick disgusting people do that to a small child!!?? But as a previous poster said, my niece who was stationed in Afghanistan said that teen homosexual prostitution and the sexual molestation of young boys is very common. They can't get pregnant you see so easy prey and no consequences. What a sickening culture.

Decades and decades ago I read a novel that had a tribe of nomadic Arabs among the characters. I don't remember the plot, nor even the "hero" of the story, but there was a line that stuck in my mind, supposedly said by an older Arab male:

A melon is for pleasure, a female is for making babies, but a young boy is pure ecstasy.

I've always hoped that saying was a figment of the author's imagination. I'm not sure--and I don't think I want to be told--exactly what the melon was for.

U.S. military sources serving in North Africa are challenging the latest White House claim that the administration is applying "all the resources" at its disposal to bring the Benghazi attackers to justice, charging instead that the Obama administration knows who is responsible but is not acting. "They have let it slip by because of politics, and now we´ve taken all the correlation we had and dropped the ball because of risk (aversion) -- and now the security in Libya is more fragile than ever," one U.S. special operator told Fox News. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity,

Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state. A Whitehouse spokesman said Tuesday the politically charged remarks were pre-written as part of the senator’s weekly Senate floor speech on climate change. “Tragically and unbeknownst to the senator at the time, a series of tornadoes were hitting Oklahoma at the same moment he gave his remarks,” the spokesman said.

During a panel discussion on the Department of Justice seizing the phone records of Fox News’ James Rosen, Bret Baier revealed that the seizure included the phone records of Rosen’s parents. The entire panel agreed the scandal was an outrage, with Kirsten Powers pointing out that there have been a number of high-profile leaks from the Obama administration, but the only ones they seem interested in going after are the ones that make them look bad. Charles Krauthammer found it amazing that the government would make such a “huge assault on the first amendment” in trying to

Juan Williams, a liberal commentator and a Fox News Channel contributor, criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ) for “criminalizing journalism,” when asked about Fox’s Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen being labeled as a possible co-conspirator in a government leak investigation. “I think what you’ve got here is a situation where somehow, now, journalism has been criminalized, especially in this Rosen case,” Williams said on Fox & Friends on Tuesday. “There’s just no justification for somehow making it out that a reporter, who is trying to cultivate a source, by doing so is a co-conspirator in terms

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.
