Team Obama to Romney:
Speak positively about Libya, or not at all

DANVILLE, Ky. — Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter stirred a lot of controversy Thursday when she blamed Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan for injecting the Libyan consulate attack into the presidential campaign. “The entire reason that this has become the political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan,” Cutter told CNN. “It’s a big part of their stump speech and it’s reckless and irresponsible.” Cutter’s remark angered Team Romney aides, who noted that — with the exception of Romney’s statement

They can't take the heat. It's a shame that they ever took power in this country. Sad.

~~No matter what Romney says, the Obama campaign is sticking to the tried-and-true strategy of deferring real questions over the issue until its investigation is over — which would not happen, of course, until long after the election.~~

Deferring real questions..........A sad commentary on the state of our country.

This is an outrage. I'm sure the O team would love nothing better than to brush this whole thing under the rug until the election is over. But to have your lacky on national TV saying that it is Romney's fault its a campaign issue, is just desperation. If Romney doesnt come out strong on the lies from this president to the country, he is missing a huge opportunity to show the slimey underbelly of Obama.

I would repeat .. Obama came out over and over saying it was the "video". He was the one who rushed to judgement. For 2 weeks!

The gloves are off on this one.

Looking forward to Romney taking it to the One in next week's debate on this issue. Romney has the facts and the moral authority on his side.

Obama of course wants to define what questions are allowed to be asked.
Obama finds questions, racist.

It was 'shut up sit down' on Obamacare and wait, as Pelosi said, until after it's 2000 pages are passed to read it.
Eric Holder has lied and stonewalled the investigation of the 1000s of weapons 'gunwalked' into Mexico and the 100s murdered there. Only Univision is interested.
And, it is 'shut up and sit down' on the deadly Al Qaeda terrorist attack in Benghazi. The fact that Obama has lied steadily for 4 weeks about what happened in Benghazi should be ignored.

Obama is just too arrogant and too precious to accept questions.

This administration is a joke. They are asking the American people to ask no questions that would uncover their shameful conduct.

I'm pretty sure Romney's remarks the night of the attacks came after the embassy in Cairo was attacked and the flag was burned, but before the attack in Libya that killed Stevens and the others. The politicization was done by the media and the O campaign by spending the entire day of 9/12 (and a lot of time since then) smearing Romney and shifting blame by falsely accusing Republicans of cutting the security budget. BTW, how can a budget that doesn't exist be cut?

How doees one speak positively about the murder of our ambassador and three other Americans.

Are we to just refer to these murdered public servants as merely bumps in the road and move on?

He kept his word."

In the wake of this week´s false AP tweet about explosions at the White House, Bloomberg´s Jared Keller and Evan Applegate offer a look at how "false tweets" can move markets, sending stocks spiking or crashing in an instant. "The AP hack highlights the potential pitfalls of relying on social networks for tradable information, but false tweets have been affecting markets and companies for the past few years," they write. "In some cases the impact of false tweets can be immediate. On August 6, 2012: A Twitter account claiming to be that of Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev

"Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned," reports the Boston Herald. "State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter.

“He looks like me,” my son, Shibli, 10, said as we looked at a photo of a young Dzhokhar Tsarnaev flash upon the TV screen Friday night. Indeed, with his innocent eyes and rumple of dark curly hair, he did. As an American, a Muslim, a mother, and an aunt to a nephew on the cusp of manhood, my heart just broke for yet another boy lost in our Muslim community, taking with him the lives of others. Enough, enough, enough, I say, with the CYA—Cover Your A**—strategy in our Muslim communities.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
