| In a May 3, 2012, email, the State Department denied a request by a group of Special Forces assigned to protect the U.S. embassy in Libya to continue their use of a DC- 3 airplane for security operations throughout the country. (Snip) Four days later, on May 7, the State Department authorized the U.S. embassy in Vienna to purchase a $108,000 electric vehicle charging station for the embassy motor pool’s new Chevrolet Volts. The purchase was a part of the State Department’s “Energy Efficiency Sweep of Europe” initiative, which included hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars

Comments: "Green embassies" initiative!
Kelly, who was one of the shining lights in yesterday's House Oversight Committee Hearing on the Benghazi security debacle and the murder of four Americans, brought this up in that hearing. Shocking - but not surprising with this administration

I am absolutely stunned after watching the testimony of Charlene Lamb. i can not believe that she is responsible for $1.2 bil in assets around the world and their security. She is grossly incompetent and comes across as nothing more than a clerical type that every business has. For God's sake. In her 27 years of service she has NEVER even been to Libya yet she plays God with the lives of the men and women serving there. I say arrest her for negligent homicide. Her hands are dripping in blood.

When Romney wins..
When we re-take the Senate..
There will still be thousands of Federal Bureaucrats who will continue to "Interpret" the laws and regulations to suit their leftist agenda.
A thorough house cleaning and re-staffing must take place. The lifetime employment tenure notion must be removed from all government positions.
A dozen or more whole departments must be eliminated.
Less government means fewer bureaucrats.

The various Civil Service acts must be repealed. It is time to get rid of bureaucrats who are unresponsive to the voters because they know that no matter what happens in the election, they cannot be fired. It may be that after doing so we may need to create new Civil Service Acts in order to ensure the professionalism of federal and state employees. We can address that problem when it crops up. I am not convinced that the original "justification" for the various Civil Service Acts really justified them.

I call them 'killer bureaucrats'. It is very easy to make these kinds of ugly decisions from the comfort of a desk inside the Beltway.

Actions speak louder than words and in this case show where the priorities were with State and the Administration. Their pet folly got 100s of thousand$, while personnel in an active fire zone got local "security" who ran at the first sign of conflict and use of a 75 year-old airplane was out of the question.
How many Volts did we buy for these Mooks to need a $108 thousand dollar charging station? What in the hell are they thinking about at Foggy Bottom?
Did anyone else watch any of the Congressional hearing into the Beghazi attacks? Did you see the testimony of Deputy Sec. of State Charlene Lamb who as I understand it was the person in charge of assigning security to the Benghazi Consolate? She was the one who stood in front of the hearing and said what passed as "security" there was the "appropriate" amount!!! Did you look at that mook? I'll wager everything I own Charlene Lamb has never as much as held a firearm in her hands in her lifetime, and she was the one deciding security in an on-going war zone for our helpless diplomats. Pathetic.

Wait till the 'Death Panel' starts making decisions on how the care givers treat patients. The blood we've seen thus far will only be droplets. This is totally unacceptable. These monsters MUST BE STOPPED. They lie, they cheat, they care only about their own skins and the skins of other party members. Communists... you bet

Bless Rep. Mike Kelly. He really was a star at the hearing yesterday. The sheer idiocy of the lifetime bureaucrats, Ms. Lamb as well as the rude Kennedy was shocking! Kennedy's attitude was "how dare YOU question me"? Nearly 40 years in "service"? What on Earth? Mitt Romney will clean house. They'd better pack their gucci bags..BTW, It's no surprise that obama uses taxpayer money to prop up the Chevy Volt,, After all, he DID save GM, didn't he? What better way to prove it then to show phony sales numbers for a golf-cart-automobile..

White House advisor Dan Pfeiffer said “the law is irrelevant” when asked by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos Sunday about whether President Obama thought the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups was illegal: Stephanopoulos: What does the president believe? Does the president believe that would be illegal? Pfeiffer: I can’t speak to the law here. The law is irrelevant. The activity was outrageous (Snip) Stephanopoulos: You don’t really mean the law is irrelevant, do you? Pfeiffer: What I mean is whether it’s legal or illegal is not important to the fact that the conduct doesn’t matter.

A former Philadelphia police officer, once hailed as a hero and given a seat next to the first lady at a 2009 speech by President Obama, has been arrested and charged with rape and other crimes. Authorities allege that Richard DeCoatsworth left a party with two females early Thursday and took them to another location, where they allege that he produced a handgun and “forced the two females to engage in the use of narcotics and sexual acts.”(Snip)DeCoatsworth was hailed as a hero after he was shot in the face during a traffic stop in September 2007 but still

Treasury officials were made aware in June 2012 that the IRS inspector general was reviewing the office that handles tax-exempt applications, but a letter from October shows that the inspector general did not highlight the audit as a top concern for the agency. In a memo dated October 15, 2012, to then-Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner about IRS challenges for 2013, Inspector General J. Russell George noted other problem areas, but made no mention of the investigation taking place at the time of the agency´s intense scrutiny of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.

It eventually comes down to who — who at the IRS was responsible for targeting conservative and Tea Party groups for special scrutiny. Because, after all, you can’t put a “system” in jail. You can’t put a report in prison. You can’t indict a department for corruption. At the end of the day it’s people who are responsible for using the enormous powers of the Internal Revenue Service to go after other people and groups because of their political beliefs. U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) told the tale of one of his constituents who applied for tax-exempt status for her Tea Party group in July 2010.

Flesh-eating bacteria amputee Aimee Copeland now uses the latest technology in prosthetic hands to chop vegetables, pick up tiny items like Skittles, and comb and iron press her hair. With the bionic hands, Copeland is looking forward to cleaning her house -- she´s a neat freak, she tells CNN -- and cooking her own food. She´s something of a foodie but has been able to eat only microwaveable foods, she adds. WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

In House testimony Friday, former Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller explained that the IRS mistakes in handling applications for non-profit status from tea party groups were due, in large part, to a flood of applications following the Citizens United decision. Miller said the targeting was a botched attempt to centralize the process to account for the increased workload. There were fewer applications in 2010, when the IRS began targeting conservative groups, than the year before, however. (Snip)Moreover, the IRS reportedly abandoned the targeting in early 2012. It presumably had little trouble handling the increased number of applicants

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You are the mantle of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington and Ralph Bunche and Langston Hughes and George Washington Carver and Ralph Abernathy and Thurgood Marshall and, yes, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These men were many things to many people and they knew full well the role that racism played in their life. It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

Washington – Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, issued a video statement Friday in response to reports that the Internal Revenue Service unfairly targeted conservative nonprofit groups. (Snip) “There’s a reason Lady Justice wears a blindfold in America. That is because in America, we don’t apply the law based on who you are, who you know, or what you believe. We apply the law equally.” “We should not only fire the head of the IRS, which has occurred, but we’ve got to go down the line and find every single person who had anything to do with this and make sure
