The Media Has Stopped Filling
In The Blanks For The
Obama Campaign

One week after the first presidential debate, the political environment continues to shift in unpredictable ways since that one-sided event. Mitt Romney has received a deserved bounce in the polls – however, conservatives should temper their enthusiasm. While the national trackers have registered a slight lead for Romney among likely voters, the polls of states like Ohio – which has been and remains peculiarly resistant to the Republican message this cycle – still show Obama with a slight lead. But if Republicans should be concerned, Democrats should be terrified. President Barack Obama’s campaign has responded

Finally, some of those media people may now realize what Zippy is doing to this country...make that OUR country!

Maybe they'll help us get it right this time.

No, but they still downplay the bad news. A Republican president would have been hounded every second by 'journalists' screaming questions about the murder of our ambassador and other U.S. personnel - and it would be top story every night on every network news show - and the initial lies of the state department and everyone in the administration about the video causing it would have all the newspapers, networks, and dems screaming non-stop for prosecution of all involved, screaming for a special counsel, screaming for everyone up to the president to resign. No, O is still getting a free ride. But what should really put the fear of - well, whatever dems believe in - into the administration is that I think the press is starting to think 'maybe President Romney wouldn't be that bad . . .'

I do not think it is so much the media is now realizing that 0'bummer is a looser, but the two fold image that they have covered for him combined with the image that they have portrayed of Romney over the last year.

They are loosing on both counts.

They're waiting for the results of the debates. Wait till Friday and see where they are then. If Biden manages to sound like he has a brain, they'll be back to filling in the blanks. Trust.

I spent a couple of hours over the weekend making calls to supposed undecided voters in Ohio. I would say that easily 70% of the folks I talked to indicated enthusiastic support for Romney. Some were chomping at the bit to go vote. I pray that's the case throughout the state.

They are slowly starting to hedge their bets as the specter of an Obama loss becomes a real possibility.

As much as they are openly whores for Obama, they still want to be on the board if Mitt wins.

If the Obama administration began the post-debate narrative by saying that "If Mitt Romney was speaking last night, he was lying", then why are they taking the Big Bird comment seriously? Obviously, if Romney was lying at every step, then the truth is that he intends to support PBS.

But since the narrative DID change to Big Bird in this way, then it stands to reason that it is the Obama administration that is lying by their own words. And has been pointed out so well by so many, what this says is that the Obama camp is in full panic mode and is quite literally falling apart.

As for me, I'm glad that they took the success that John Kerry had and applied it to this campaign.

Rats jumping ship will become more common soon.

If I were a liberal, especialy a media liberal, I would be a bit more worried about the posibility of a republican president, wielding the powers enacted by obama's many executive orders and filled with a terrible resolve to forever remove the threat of socialism. A new republican president enters office with the legal power to designate anyone he likes a "terrorist" and legaly assasinate them. I wonder why this never occured to nancy pelosi.

Doesn't matter what the media says, I don't believe them. And they're not filling in the blanks so much as they're in full CYA mode.

Vice President Joe Biden really did get ahead of President Barack Obama on accepting gay marriage in 2012 — and the White House really wasn’t happy about it, despite the two leaders’ many attempts to claim otherwise. That’s the story laid out in Jo Becker’s new book, “Forcing the Spring,” which documents the past few years of successful efforts to expand the legalization of gay marriage, according to an advance copy obtained by POLITICO. Speculation that Biden’s comments on “Meet the Press” in May 2012 were meant as a trial balloon, Becker writes, came from people “not privy to the

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

President Obama said Wednesday that Russia realizes the U.S. military is “significantly superior” to its own and does not want war with the United States. Asked in an interview with CBS News about a Russian fighter buzzing a U.S. Navy ship in the Black Sea on Saturday, Obama said, “They’re not interested in any kind of military confrontation with us, understanding that our conventional forces are significantly superior to the Russians.” Obama accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being behind uprisings in Ukraine in which government buildings have been taken over. Ukraine’s government has launched an operation against the separatists

AUSTIN, Tex. — The last nine months of Rick Perry’s tenure as the longest-serving governor of Texas were supposed to be a political victory lap. Greg Abbott, the Republican state attorney general, and Wendy Davis, the Democratic state senator, both of whom are vying to replace Mr. Perry, have been sparring across Texas. Meanwhile Mr. Perry has been traveling the country and the world promoting the robust Texas economy and bolstering his national profile as he considers another run for president in 2016. GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE—Victims of the 9/11 terror attacks expressed shock that the FBI may be meddling in the hearings here, and some speculated that it is part of an effort by the Obama administration to completely derail the hearings and force them into federal court stateside. Families of those killed in the 9/11 terror attacks traveled here with the intent of watching their family members’ accused killers face justice. However, many say they were horrified earlier this week when pre-trial hearings came to a halt over revelations that the FBI had launched an investigation into the accused terrorist’s defense

Earlier today, Judicial Watch made public a batch of documents that it received from the IRS in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. The documents consists of a series of emails relating to the IRS’s treatment of applications for 501(c)(4) status from “Tea Party” or otherwise conservative organizations. I am still working my way through the emails, but have a few preliminary observations. First, the most significant ones I have seen so far have already been widely discussed. The email below documents a call from the Department of Justice about whether non-profits that “lied” about doing political activity

On the Wednesday, April 16, PoliticsNation on MSNBC, far left host Al Sharpton berated what he viewed as "extreme" and "intolerant radical views" of Republican candidates for U.S. Senate in Mississippi and North Carolina as he highlighted comments that he considered "offensive." Guest Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post went so far as to hyperbolically suggest that the GOP is "going to cease to exist" unless Republican Party leaders who are "aghast at the far-right extremists" do not react against these candidates. Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Wednesday, April 16, PoliticsNation on MSNBC: AL SHARPTON:

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you
