Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb refused to use the word “terrorist” during her testimony to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday, saying she is not in the position to make “any judgments on my own.” Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.) pressed Lamb, who appeared as a witness on Capitol Hill on the security breaches surrounding the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi last month, following her testimony:

Hmmm.

Look up the definition of "terrorists" on Wikipedia.

It specifically mentions "violent acts."

It is time to get people in positions of power who can call a spade a spade. These guys are "terrorists."

If Lamb was in WWII... she would refuse to say the word "Nazi." Shame.

Well, it DID happen at the Ambassadors workplace, so I guess this mal-administration could call it ''workplace violence.''

I wonder if obamas lapdog media could hold a straight face hearing that?

The Congresswoman from Florida looked like she wanted to get in the ring with Lamb. Her face and demeanor said, "I just need 5 minutes, guys, just 5. I promise; and she'll be screaming terrorist when I get done."

It was plainly another case of workplace violence.

Lord forgive me, I really, really hate people like Lamb. Putting her alligience to Obama ahead of the good of her country, the country that provides her paycheck, her freedom, her life.
What does she think the Muslims would do to her if she were there??

ALBANY, N.Y. -- With all the corruption in Albany, one of your representatives is instead focusing efforts on something many of you like to do, bowl. New York State Senator Patrick Gallivan (R-59th District) New York State Assemblyman Robin Schimminger (D-140th District) are sponsoring a bill that would cover bowling shoes. The bill in the assembly is co-sponsored by Assembly members Brian Kolb, Crystal Peoples-Stokes and Jane Corwin. It would require alley owners to post signs, warning keglers not to wear bowling shoes outside, lest they become wet

Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on a controversial search warrant that identified Fox News reporter James Rosen as a “possible co-conspirator” in violations of the Espionage Act and authorized seizure of his private emails, a law enforcement official told NBC News on Thursday. The disclosure of the attorney general’s role came as President Barack Obama, in a major speech on his counterterrorism policy, said Holder had agreed to review Justice Department guidelines governing investigations that involve journalists. “I am troubled by the possibility that leak investigations may chill the investigative

"I don´t know." "I don´t remember." "I´m not familiar with that detail." "It´s not my precise area." "I´m not familiar with that letter." These are quotes from the Internal Revenue Service officials who testified this week before the House and Senate. That is the authentic sound of stonewalling, and from the kind of people who run Washington in the modern age—smooth, highly credentialed and unaccountable. They´re surrounded by legal and employment protections, they know how to parse a careful response, they know how to blur the essential point of a question in a blizzard of unconnected factoids.

Members of the House Oversight Committee are getting closer to asking Hillary Clinton to testify on last year´s deadly attacks in Benghazi, Libya. Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) told The Hill that there are “a number of steps” that the panel “will take first” before calling the former secretary of State to the hearing room, but he left the door open to compelling her appearance. “We have a number of steps that we are taking to get full and complete discovery,” Issa said.

If you wonder whether (and how) the IRS scandal and related White House shenanigans could backfire on Republicans, watch Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus. In the last 24 hours, the man who conducted the "autopsy" on a party battered by President Obama in 2012 reverted to GOP form – demonizing, politicizing and overreaching just enough to jeopardize his cause. Until today, Republican leaders seemed satisfied with letting the White House hang itself, learning from the Clinton-Lewinsky era that there is a fine line between outrage and outrageousness. Priebus may have crossed it. It started with this Wednesday night tweet:

Enamored of communicating via the Internet at midnight, Anthony Weiner entered the mayor’s race by posting a video that essentially pleads with New Yorkers to take him seriously as a regular guy who cares. No joke. He joins the Democratic field as the most ridiculed and psychoanalyzed political candidate on Earth, one with the brass to believe he can persuade voters to forgive without forgetting and to trust that he has the stability and judgment to lead America’s largest city. In the age of terror. Weiner’s standing in the polls — second behind City Council Speaker Christine Quinn

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
