State Dept. description of
attack in sync with GOP

WASHINGTON -- The State Department now says it never believed the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was a film protest gone awry, giving congressional Republicans new fodder for criticizing the Obama administration's initial accounts of the assault. The State Department's extraordinary break with other administration offices came in a department briefing Tuesday, where officials said "others" in the executive branch concluded initially that the protest was based, like others in the Middle East, on a film that ridiculed the Prophet Muhammad

FTA: The attack as become a political football in the final weeks before the election.

The ap dismisses a foreign policy debacle that led to the murder of 4 Americans in a terrorist attack with the "political football" cliche. Translation, the incident isn't serious, nor worthy of investigation. Furthermore, the GOP are bad guys for politicizing the murder of 4 Americans.

Watch for the presidential buses to start lining up in Foggy Bottom to receive the Secretary of State under the wheels. The Prez won't, under any circumstance. whatsoever! take the blame for any of this.

Perhaps 'diversity' provides sufficient room for a diverse collection of stories and excuses.

Or...."Our supporters neither understand nor care about a bunch of stuff in some far away country."

It would appear that (some) African-Americans care about Africa in the same way that (some) Jewish Americans care about Israel.

So Hillary's State Dept admits there never was a mob of angry movie critics in Benghazi.
None.
Obama and his whole regime simply lied for 4 weeks as the deadly truth trickled out.
For political reasons Obama was determined to blame anyone, but Al Qaeda.

Obama has become delusional and demands that we respect his lies.
Obama thought he won the debate too.

FTA:"She did qualify her remarks to say that was the best information she had at the time. Rice since has denied trying to mislead Congress."
Nothing like helping the Regime cover up it's lies. And by the way #3, if he does throw the beast under the bus, that will be one hell of a speed bump.

How do you clean this stuff up? A stretch, but for fairness sake, Mitt could E.O. every congressman and state department official take a lie detector test. [Yes they can refuse. Yes, they can beat it. Yes it's not admissable. Yes it was a conservative lawyer who pleaded to have LD results thrown out forever. Not] Ask if they swear to uphold the Constitution, and all of its guaranteed freedoms as is, and defend it? Ask if they ever accepted foreign money? Ask if they were in favor of a New World Order, or Caliphate, or of placing America under U.N. domination or treaties? Ask if they are using mind altering drugs or would agree to be tested? Ask if they were given even verbal information about felonies any President might have committed that would have invalidated him to be President? Ask if they were involved with any entity or group working to overthrow America as a free country? Most will refuse. Most will rage. Just publish their elegant refusal language, or get their agreement to retire. Something Palin would have threatened to do if the Congress started blocking every bill to fix the mess. Or if you like, to clean up the nest.

In late February, the City University of New York announced that it had tapped Princeton economist and New York Times blogger Paul Krugman for a distinguished professorship at CUNY’s Graduate Center and its Luxembourg Income Study Center, a research arm devoted to studying income patterns and their effect on inequality. About that. According to a formal offer letter obtained under New York’s Freedom of Information Law, CUNY intends to pay Krugman $225,000, or $25,000 per month (over two semesters), to “play a modest role in our public events” and “contribute to the build-up” of a new “inequality initiative.” It is not

As predictable as the media silence to follow comes the news that New York City´s new left-wing mayor, who ran on a platform based in large part on raising taxes, paid an effective 8.3% tax rate in 2013 based on a total income of over $200,000. Mayor de Blasio and his wife made $167,047 in income, $52,000 in rental income on a second home in Park Slope, and reported charitable donations that totaled just 3% of their income, or $5,597.

Who’s Attending Eric Holder’s Off The

Attorney General Eric Holder‘s planned meeting with mainstream media outlets’ Washington bureau chiefs have been stalled after the Justice Department indicated that the conversations would be off-the-record. The New York Times‘ executive editor Jill Abramson was the first to decline the invitation, and shortly after the AP, CNN, CBS News and The Huffington Post followed suit. With much of the debate over the DOJ’s subpoena guidelines revolving around reporter James Rosen, Fox News clearly has a vested interest in the outcome of the meeting. While there appears to be a mini-campaign among Fox anchors to send Rosen himself to the meeting

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Sorry, Rev, but Christianity isn´t

Here’s a thought for the day: Most people are “nice”, but Christians should be nice with a purpose. I am not a fan of the sitcom Rev, which depicts a vicar trying to be kind to his parishioners – with hilarious consequences. His congregation is small, full of delinquents, and the eponymous clergymen is often driven to drink by their unholy antics. Justin Welby disagrees with the show’s depiction of Anglican life because he notes that many churches are growing. The Rev’s, by contrast, conforms to a self-lacerating vision of Christianity as nice but niche. But self-laceration is the stock-in-trade of the

Louisiana GOP: Mary Landrieu ad fakery

Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu, in a neck-and-neck race for re-election, is taking a lot of criticism over a new ad -- her first this season -- depicting herself taking on "Washington" to protect the interests of Louisiana´s oil and gas industry. What Landrieu did to invite the ridicule was to re-create for her ad producers her own performance in a Senate hearing -- complete with set, supporting cast, fake nameplate, and even phony news chyrons -- to show her standing up for her state. The unspoken message of the ad -- something Landrieu could never say directly -- is that

When recently asked what she was most proud of from her time as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton replied that the office was like a “relay race.” “When you run the best race you can run, you hand off the baton,” she said. Mrs. Clinton was unable to cite any specific achievement, though she did make the rather dubious claim that “I think we really restored American leadership in the best sense.” Even some of her most ardent admirers couldn’t figure out a good answer to the question about her greatest achievement, during a discussion on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” As Ed

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as
