| One symptom of madness is the tendency to view oneself as superhuman. Superheroes believe that they should not have to run for re-election; after all, they are entitled to it. They don't hold press conferences at which unvetted journalists are allowed to ask real questions. Unlike truly great presidents who believe the American people have a rendez-vous with destiny, superheroes believe they have one. They are so above it all that they don't have to prep for debates. They expect to win by default.

The latest polls show that President Obama´s approval ratings are in free fall like a hot air balloon with the fire extinguished; his approval rating has declined eight percentage points over the past month. I have always believed that regardless of the laws of a nation, the social fabric that binds it is woven of mutual trust between the people and their private and governmental institutions. Once that fabric is weakened, the dangers to an ordered society are extreme. This week, the holes in the U.S. social fabric are manifest, and they are caused by the administration´s ever-expanding lawlessness.. Greg Gutfeld opened the June 6th broadcast of The Five by talking about the IRS scandal and asking "What can we do as Americans right now? This seems like a golden opportunity to go after a bloated bureaucracy, clean it out and create something." The answer is to spark a national protest demanding limited government by doing 3 things: First, unhide our taxes. Even the 47% who don´t pay federal income tax pay taxes. During the 2012 Presidential campaign, Mitt Romney said "There are 47% of the people who will vote for the president, no matter what..."

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
