Benghazi attack may cloud Clinton’s legacy

| The fatal attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya last month has become a test of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s leadership and a threat to her much-admired legacy as America’s top diplomat just a few months before she plans to step down. Clinton was among the first Obama administration officials to publicly condemn the attack and mourn the deaths of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. But as the State Department has weathered Republican-led criticism that it misread warning signs before the Sept. 11 attack, Clinton has been far less visible.

God forbid this "cloud her legacy". Mind you, four Americans died in Benghazi because their government failed to adequately protect them, but let's focus on PIAPS's legacy. So much for Hillary being the one who could answer that 3am phone call. This administration and their enablers in the mainstream media are shameless - absolutely shameless.

Read the whole thing. Lots of info particularly toward the end.
Of course the Wash Post seems to try to whitewash Shrillary.
As I said on the day after the attack: "Where was Hillary and State when the calls for help started to come in?"
Fighter aircraft launched from Europe or a carrier could have been on station within a reasonable time and gunned down lots of attackers.
Not one word from Obama.

Hillary is a damn, stinking liar. I posted here before, and will again, it was clear she lied in front of the transfer cases containing the bodies of the four murdered Americans when she blamed the video for their deaths. Her demeanor changed from weepy to defiant, and she spent too much time weaving her false narrative. This disgusting hag-woman needs to answer for her lies.

you can be sure that if the sec'y of state was betty jones rather than hillary clinton, she'd have been gone the day after the attacks. pres. obama would have dismissed anyone else immediately and put all of the blame on the sos. BUT because she is married to the big dog and pres. obama needs him, she's relatively safe (for now). there is absolutely no other reason that she is still in that position.

Why did Obama and Hilary want Amb. Stevens to be tortured and murdered? what did he know that they wanted him silenced? This is Hilary's legacy. She has always been a lying despicable fraud who achieved her position by destroying Her impeached perjurer husband's sexual assault victims. She flunked the DC Bar and could not get admitted to the D C Bar after her unethical conduct during watergate. She never should have been a Senator nor SOS. Sniper gate highlighted her fake narrative in Bosnia. Like Obama - she is an absolute fraud.

Senators may confirm Penny Pritzker next month to lead the Commerce Department, a top Senate Republican said after a drama-free hearing Thursday. Commerce Committee senators on both sides of the aisle largely shied away from the controversies surrounding the family of Chicago billionaire and Hyatt Hotel heiress Pritzker, despite GOP criticism centering on the use of subprime lending practices and offshore bank accounts. (Snip) The hearing was surprisingly cordial with questions ranging from cybersecurity to the National Weather Service to creating manufacturing jobs to fisheries. Only three questions, two from Thune, related to Pritzker’s family.

Raymond Maxwel --one of the four State Department officials disciplined over security lapses that led to the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year -- is also a prolific poet. And he´s been publishing provocative verses since he was put on administrative leave December 18. Some of the poetry represents scathing commentary on the post-Benghazi fallout and implies that he feels like he´s been made a scapegoat. In "Trapped in a purgatory of their own deceit," Maxwell writes in part: "The web of lies they weave / gets tighter and tighter / in its deceit

Whatever else happens as a result of the multiple controversies that have engulfed the administration, one thing is clear: President Obama has failed to meet one of the most important goals he set out when he was first elected, which was to demonstrate that activist government could also be smart government. (Snip) As he put it then: “I think what you saw in this election was people saying, ‘Yes, we don’t want some big, bureaucratic, ever-expanding state. On the other hand, we don’t want a state that’s dysfunctional, that doesn’t believe in its mission, that can’t carry out

Washington – Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, issued a video statement Friday in response to reports that the Internal Revenue Service unfairly targeted conservative nonprofit groups. (Snip) “There’s a reason Lady Justice wears a blindfold in America. That is because in America, we don’t apply the law based on who you are, who you know, or what you believe. We apply the law equally.” “We should not only fire the head of the IRS, which has occurred, but we’ve got to go down the line and find every single person who had anything to do with this and make sure

Richmond, Va.—Virginia´s activist conservative attorney general has won the Republican Party´s gubernatorial nomination by acclamation. At the GOP´s statewide convention, thousands of conservatives and tea party followers who dominated the Richmond Coliseum on Saturday roared their unanimous support for Ken Cuccinelli. He was unopposed for the nomination and is generally beloved by the tea party for his aggressive challenges to federal mandates. Cuccinelli is an abortion foe who was the first state attorney general to challenge President Barack Obama´s health care reforms in 2010. He faces former Democratic National Committee chairman and Clinton family protege Terry McAuliffe

Legions of Wimbledon fans may find it hard to credit in the man who once defined bad behaviour on the tennis court, but Jimmy Connors says he ‘turned on the charm’ the first time he chatted up Chris Evert.(Snip)Although she has since bitterly regretted giving up on a ‘good, solid marriage’, what some have described as her mid-life crisis struck in 2006 when she divorced Mill after 18 years. The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
