White House Comes Clean: No
Protest Outside Libya Consulate

Breitbart's Big Peace, by John Nolte

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 10/9/2012 10:07:17 PM

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a major Congressional hearing on the terror attack In Libya and in a desperately transparent attempt to get ahead of damaging news, at the very last minute tonight, the State Department finally came clean: In other words, absolutely everything we were told by our government -- by President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton, Ambassador Susan Rice. White House Spokesman Jay Carney, and any number of staffers and surrogates -- was 100% false. There were no protests, no benign crowds exploited by local militias, and nothing had anything to do with a video.

Get the popcorn, folks.

Can't wait for VP BiteMe Biden to explain this to the nation on live TV.

FOX had it on a few minutes ago; but I'm not holding my breath to hear it on the morning national LSM.

No wonder BiteMe as been in a locked away room all week.

Wow.
Obama lied and people died.

Hillary must be hiding out in Micronesia.
She knows a political debacle when she sees one.

Next they will tell us if was a murder-suicide! (They needed to wait 20 more years for this administration as all of us are not completely dumbed down yet!)

They are trying to do a cleanup before the next debates. They are already prepping Joe Biden with a might lie. It will have to be outrageous and stupid and who better to say it.

Headline is wrong, the State Department came partially clean this evening, not the WH. There is a reason Jay Carney has not held a briefing in 15 days and why he won't until after the elections: Not asked, don't have to lie.

Reply 9 - Posted by: Charactercounts, 10/9/2012 11:21:22 PM     (No. 8921908)

I wonder what advice Bill's giving Hillary on how to handle this. The words of the US military officer (I'm sorry, his name escapes me) about being recalled, despite asking for additional security, were devastating enough.

This raises the whole sorry mess to a whole new level.

I almost would not mind seeing Obama re-elected now. He would be impeached and thrown out of office, along with Bite-Me, Hillary, Holder and most of the czars. The speaker of the house would become president. Hey, that will be a Republican!

Can't wait to see Romney pivot toward Obama in the debate and reiterate the lies they told us, and review Obama's behavior afterwards (rushing off the Las Vegas, Beyonce, etc...)

Reply 12 - Posted by: qmcgs, 10/9/2012 11:44:28 PM     (No. 8921944)

So within hours everyone up to and including the President knew that their Al Qaeda allies who overthrew Gadaffi were the ones that carried out the attack on the consulate and killed the ambassador. Panic sets in and they concoct a story about an obscure videotape and non-existent mob and send Rice, et al, to the media to sell it to the world. The problem is there is no hiding what an absolute disaster 0bama and Hillary's MENA policy has been.

... and the guy who purportedly created what is now an unrelated video is still in jail I suppose. Will Barack and Hillary repay taxpayers for the foreign advertisements they ran in Libya hoping to drum up post-terrorist attack protests and increase the plausability of their lies?

Im still waiting for THE PRESS to come clean and report the FACTS. I'm still waiting for the "press" to apologize to Romney. I'm still waiting for the "press" to admit that Romney was correct and that he "didnt jump the gun"

Im still waiting for the "pres" to cover "Fast & Furious". I'm still waiting for the "press" to vett the pResident instead of carrying his water.

I expect that Hell will freeze over before the dems and the press will ever be honest.

The closest that we will get in this instance is Hillary throwing Obama under the bus, before he does it to her.

When you follow the timeline of this debacle....embassy bombed, withdraw security, ambassador shot at, withdraw security, another bombing more security withdrawn....it makes you wonder why obama needed this ambassador killed.
And we have such a corrupt/weak congress, NO ONE, certainly not obama, will pay the price. And obama's figures will still hover around the 45% mark.

However yesterday there was a conference call with WH and new media from which FOX was excluded.

They've got to get their talking points.

Meanwhile, they take the guy who made the "video" and used him as a scapegoat, drag him in front of the cameras with his hoodie on blaming him for the unrest in the middle east!

It's deplorable that they blame an American Citizen when they KNEW it wasn't because of him!

Again, point fingers at msm too..they were all over Mitt Romney, attempting to destroy him for speaking out (with the truth).

“This latest assault cannot be blamed on a reprehensible video insulting Islam, despite the administration’s attempts to convince us of that for so long,” Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said Monday.

I think this will be devastating to Obama.

More and more people are peeling off all the time (Laura Logan is a conspicuous example) and I think a lot more are "on the fence".

Allowing American citizens, including an AMBASSADOR, to be killed is beyond the pale, and IMHO, will drive many others into Romney's camp.

Well let's not start doing a victory dance just yet. Don't underestimate Democrat tenacity and cleverness. With the Media on their side they are capable of anything between now and election day. However, it does appear that this Libya scandal is the final nail in this administration's coffin. What Obama, Biden, Clinton, Rice, Reid and Pelosi have done is beyond shameful.

According to the Washington Post, Hillary will NOT be testifying at this hearing, instead sending some senior diplomat in her place....

She will wear this around her neck from now on.

.... We all know that Obama can do no wrong and admitting carefully-plotted prevarications, repeated by his collaborators in Old Media, will never appear on his brag sheet.

#21, not to mention, Eric Allen Bell. If you don't know who he is, please do a web search. He is being falsely accused by terrorists as the man behind the film. He is hiding in a safe house and his life is in jeopardy. This administration has fueled this fire with their lies just to cover up their disgraceful foreign policy. This is criminal!

Nolte has nailed this. It makes decent Americans sick to their stomachs, when they read these facts. The families of those 4 murdered Americans, and those 4 victims should be forever in our prayers.

Reply 30 - Posted by: CGardner, 10/10/2012 8:21:32 AM     (No. 8922396)

I still think the video was part of a false flag to stir up unrest in Egypt and allow Obama to step in and "save the day" and look strong before the election. (But, the fools never counted on an attack in Libya.) As reported on the Smoking Gun, Sam Bacile was a federal informant since his drug conviction in 2010 and received very brief sentences in the federal pen for his drug and identity theft convictions. When the questions started flying, the gubmint hid Sam away. Now, the whole incompetent State Dept. will take a fall, hopefully along with Obama.

My first thoughts about this was bho intended to mimic the Tehran hostage situation of Carter, except he would be victorious in obtaining the release of the kidnapped Ambassador to Libya and use this to help his re-election. Was this Val Jarrett's idea or bho's? Can someone say, 'backfire'?

obama was to busy campaigning to bother securing their work place.....

Obama is trying so hard to have it both ways.. stay clear of any controversy concerning the tragedy in Libya, but taking credit for ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Anyone else think he has caused more unrest by touting the story of the video? And how in heavens name can the State Department now come out and say they never believed it to begin with?? If they dont get hot in this hearing today, I give up.

Romney needs to jump all over this. Let the idiot talk about big bird.. its the highest level of management he is capable of discussing.

This is now the 4th generation of "the truth"!

Reply 36 - Posted by: jar, 10/10/2012 8:52:06 AM     (No. 8922473)

The facts need much wider circulation. There are too many people who don't know about this and are still in a dreamworld about Obama. Yesterday, I was asked if I wanted to help out the Obama campaign by making phone calls on his behalf. Two dems were saying how he has been an "absolutely fabulous" president who has done an incredible job. They gave the number one reason as his "foreign policy," and his having secured our position in the world; number two was "Social Security and Medicare," and number three was "women." They are totally ignorant of Bengazi and Fast and Furious. They were "very depressed" about the debate and said, "We've got to do something."

With regard to the concern about getting this information out there, you can always 'Like' the article right onto your Facebook page ... where it will get plenty of attention. Of course, you might lose some 'friends' that way too. Also, you can always delete the post after a few hours or days.

3 weeks of lies is justification for removal from office. Debate questions should start with where did the Stimulus money go, the nearly trillion dollars that went to Congressional districts and zip-codes that didn't exist. Joe was our guardian. Second set of questions should involve resolution of conflict in Afghanistan. Does he have some brilliant ideas like splitting the country? Third question is how they decide to trust our friends. So far, our soldiers and ambassadors are taking heavy losses from our friends.

I don't know what to expect at the next Presidential debate. It's a town hall and I think Obama won't be pressed by goofy questions. The only way Romney can push him is if he's allowed to improvise like he did before. I expect the moderator to not allow it but since a female moderator is a historical first so who knows.

"Second presidential debate
Topic: Town meeting format on foreign and domestic issues. In the town meeting format, citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization."

Not really getting the posters talking about how this is going to play out in the debate tomorrow. Do you really think this is going to be a topic the moderator is going to explore? Its more likely the time will be used to repeatedly make Ryan explain his stance on a woman's right to murder, er, I mean, choice her baby to death, er, I mean women's reproductive rights.

I doubt the media is going to be asking any tough questions, but I would think someone in the MSM is just a little curious as to why they made up the story about the video, and then went on 5 networks to sell the lie, and kept selling it for 2 weeks. Those lies created an uproar all over the middle east that caused destruction and loss of life.

Can anyone here please tell me what we can do to stop the media from putting blinders on everytime something happens that could harm Obama. The media is covering the facts of a terrorist attack and the killing of our citizens. We should be outraged to the point of rioting in the streets. Why do we allow a media to go to the extent they did to dig dirt to destroy Sarah Palin and not follow an attack on our country that we are being lied to by the highest office in our land. Good grief, wake up America!

This administration is treasonous, they cover for everyone outside this country and not the American people. Why did they have to lie about this, why did they have to dishonor these Americans by not telling the truth? Why are Americans not demanding that Obama be put in jail for willful lying, then going to a party so he could walk out with some bags of cash after shucking and jiving in Las Vegas

Where have John Boehner and Mitch McConnell been regarding the foreign policy blunder at Benghazi? Not a word from either. Those two nincompoops never have anything to say about anything.

Boehner`s `leadership` position needs to be seriously challenged after the election. This man cannot be allowed to remain Speaker. As for `Deer in the Headlights` McConnell, he looks less like a future Majority Leader and more like someone`s chemistry teacher.

These two nitwits may as well be democrats. They seem to care about nothing but the legislative `process`.

Thanks for nothing gentlemen.

Last night, FOX reported how 20 minutes before the attack began from two sides, there was no activity in the area of the compound at all.

So much for Hillary's (and Susan Rice, and Barack Obama, and Jay Carney's, etc.,) story about a demonstration crescendoing into a violent attack over a youtube trailer.

If not for a complicit media, all these people would have resigned in disgrace two weeks ago.

Meanwhile Zero is out in there on the campaign trail mumbling about big birds as his lies about his lies are proven to be dishonest. Listen, it would take a years scrubbing with lye soap to get this White House clean.

Of course anyone seeing Muslim terrorists firing rockets into our Libya consulate would know this wasn't a normal Muslim protest over bad American movies, nor one over our hefty Secretary of State not covering her face, but a real live hate America attack. It is sad that Americans died because they asked for security and were denied by incompetent politicians.

Hillary claimed the violence was incited by a video. using her cool and collected tone of voice. Enunciating every word and syllable. Speaking in a very measured rate. (pictured in my mind...her greasy tangled mess of hair). Never once, that I can recall, did she mention the murder of the Ambassador or the 3 others. Did she or 0bama ever once have a consoling word about those lives lost? I believe she continues this...guarded tone etc. Lousy lying good for nothings.

They both went for the gun! Spin the lie and alibi in the press and soon it's front page news. In this case the lie and alibi was it's the film that made them do it!
Now the lawyers and puppeteers start tap dancing and singing.

As I've said before, if the Mulatto Kid, the VP, the Sec of State Hitlery, Susan Rice, Carney, etc. have their mouths open, they are lying. It seems endemic with that Democrap bunch.

I wouldn't believe them if they told me my house was on fire in front of my very eyes. They lie for CYA purposes as they don't want to take the responsibility.

When is Obie and Bite Me going to get their sorry behinds on prime time tv and while holding hands, explain to the American people they lied about Benghazi and tender their resignations and any right to pension or secret service protection? I know..it will be a cold day in H before they do, but you never know.

It is now totally clear that they will lie to us whenever they think they can get away with it and even when they know they probably can't get away with it. Who knows what else they lie to us about? Answer - Probably everything.

How can these people (White House, State Department, etc.) look at themselves in the mirror. OMG. What happened to these poor people just makes me heartsick.

Side note. Hillary looks like h*ll. She's morphing into Madeline Halfbright.

Huffington Post is reporting that Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010.

Blame the Republicans!

Not only did they lie about what happened in Libya but their continuous mention of a stupid video gave heathens an excuse daily to riot, destroy property and burn our beloved flag. Time to clean house.

The controversy over the Obama administration’s response to the Benghazi attack last year began at a meeting over coffee on Capitol Hill three days after the assault. It was at this informal session with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence that the ranking Democrat asked David H. Petraeus, who was CIA director at the time, to ensure that committee members did not inadvertently disclose classified information when talking to the news media about the attack. “We had some new members on the committee, and we knew the press would be very aggressive on this, so we didn’t want

It is never good for an administration when a front-page newspaper article about an ongoing controversy begins as follows: “The White House offered a new account Monday of how and when it learned .?.?. ” That’s what readers of The Post awoke to on Tuesday. In trying to contain the controversy and protect President Obama, White House officials have only added to questions about what happened. Until this week, the story of how White House officials learned that the Internal Revenue Service was targeting conservative groups was fairly straightforward. White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler was notified in late April

There are various reasons you might not care about the Obama administration’s spying on journalist James Rosen and labeling him a “co-conspirator and/or aider and abettor” in an espionage case. Liberals may not be particularly bothered because the targeted journalist works for Fox News. Conservatives may not be concerned because of their antipathy toward the news media generally. And the general public certainly doesn’t have much patience for journalists’ whining. But here’s why you should care — and why this case, along with the administration’s broad snooping into Associated Press phone records, is more serious than the other supposed

White House meltdown: A truth deficit

There seems to be bipartisan consensus that whatever the White House is doing to fend off scandal is making things worse. Howard Fineman sounds a lot like Right Turn these days: “White House aides are tempting fate with their reluctant, piecemeal and contradictory disclosures of what they knew and when they knew it, especially about a report on the Internal Revenue Service’s 18-month effort to target tea party and other conservative groups for special scrutiny.” The constantly shifting stories from Jay Carney and the IRS dissembling and pleas of ignorance only heighten concern that there has been serious wrongdoing.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

John Podhoretz has a good column today on the Obama administration’s travails. I did not know this bit until I read the column: Even more startling, the search warrant makes clear that the FBI already had everything it needed on the leaker, as the request for a search warrant features quotes from an interview that were tantamount to a confession. It asked that the warrant be sealed — in other words, that Rosen not be told — because knowledge might “cause subjects to flee”! Imagine it: Rosen, an on-air reporter

There’s really no reason for the press to suggest that the recent slew of scandals involving the Obama administration — Benghazi, the AP phone-record seizure, the snooping in James Rosen’s e-mail, the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups, and so on — are a confusing jumble. There is a very clear thread running through all of the administration’s actions: The U.S. deputy chief of mission in Libya, Gregory Hicks, says that he was told not to speak to a member of Congress about Benghazi without a State Department lawyer present, that he received a phone call from Hillary Clinton’s

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
