The Wall Street Journal's Stephen Moore has just come out with a new book titled Who's the Fairest of Them All?: The Truth about Opportunity, Taxes, and Wealth in America and he reveals some interesting information about how much the top ten percent of income earners in the United States pay in federal income taxes as opposed to any other industrialized nation in the world. According to Moore, these earners pay almost half (45 percent) of the country's total taxes.

Shhh, no need for pesky facts when there is class warfare to be had...

Why, can you just imagine what would happen if the Honey Boo Boo's didn't have a rich ol' Republican to hate?

Those who don't pay taxes on their income have no skin in the game. They and their votes automatically become a threat to other people's liberty. Its as simple as that.

But, but... they're not paying their FAIR SHARE!!

Hate to break it to ya, Obama, but even if "The Rich" are taxed at 100%, it's just a drop in abyss of debt...

It's the Spending, Stupid.

As much as I admire Stephen Moore, his book will change nothing.

It has never been about 'fairness', the jealous and envious want to see the government punish those doing better than them. Zero is glad to feed into that while ignoring the obvious reality that higher taxes alone barely dent the annual deficit, let alone the total debt.

Report: Too many teachers,

Washington — The nation´s teacher-training programs do not adequately prepare would-be educators for the classroom, even as they produce almost triple the number of graduates needed, according to a survey of more than 1,000 programs released Tuesday. The National Council on Teacher Quality review is a scathing assessment of colleges´ education programs and their admission standards, training and value. The report, which drew immediate criticism, was designed to be provocative and urges leaders at teacher-training programs to rethink what skills would-be educators need to be taught to thrive in the classrooms of today and tomorrow.

Villains abound in the great immigration scam, now playing out in Congress, and not all of them are Democrats. Some are fat cats of the Republican persuasion, and the satisfied smiles on their faces suggest Cheshire blood lines. An endless supply of poor, hungry and illiterate peasants, preferably from the Mexican interior where poverty grinds so exceedingly fine that crumbs and scraps look like Christmas dinner, is crucial to keeping the scam going for the corporate and personal elites. The illegals have fastened onto them like fleas on the belly of a blue tick hound.

Wichita, Kan., -- A Kansas physician says he makes the same income and offers better quality care to his patients after he dumped all health insurance companies. Thirty-two-year old family physician Doug Nunamaker of Wichita, Kan., said after five years of dealing with the red tape of health insurance companies and the high overhead for the staff he hired just to deal with paperwork, he switched to a system of charging his patients a monthly fee plus the price of an office visit or test, CNN/Money reported.

‘We’re Tapped Out’: Detroit
Emergency Manager
Proposes Plan To Creditors

DETROIT (WWJ) – There’s still a 50-50 chance Detroit will file for bankruptcy. That’s according to Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr, who has detailed a plan for the city’s financial future in a 134-page proposal to creditors. Orr on Friday sat down in a closed-door meeting with about 150 creditors, bond holders and unions to discuss the city’s fiscal situation, seeking concessions that would save Detroit millions of dollars in payments. Perhaps the most dramatic aspect of his plan: Orr said, starting now, there will be a moratorium on debt payments for all unsecured funded debt.

Emergency Manager: Detroit
Won´t Pay $2.5B it Owes

ROMULUS, Mich. A team led by a state-appointed emergency manager said Friday that Detroit is defaulting on about $2.5 billion in unsecured debt and is asking creditors to take about 10 cents on the dollar of what the city owes them. Kevyn Orr spent two hours with about 180 bond insurers, pension trustees, union representatives and other creditors in a move to avoid what bankruptcy experts have said would be the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. Underfunded pension claims likely would get less than the 10 cents on the dollar.

Fearless Fosdick at work

Fearless Fosdick, the ace gumshoe in the old Li’l Abner comic strip who was assigned to prevent an unwitting shopper from buying the can of poisoned beans crafty evildoers had slipped into the food supply, is obviously the inspiration of the men who set out to collect the telephone records of every American. Fearless patrolled the city’s supermarkets, shooting every little old lady who crossed his path right through the heart, leaving a large hole as she was about to drop a can of beans in her shopping cart.

Our constitutional republic is under attack. It has been wounded by the rise of the national surveillance state. This is the real meaning of the explosive leaks from former intelligence employee Edward Snowden. The 29-year-old computer analyst is on the run, hiding out in Hong Kong, rightly fearing for his life. His alleged crime: He leaked the existence of the National Security Agency’s secret intelligence surveillance programs. We now know the NSA monitors the phone records, emails and Internet data of more than 120 million Americans. For this, many Republicans and Democrats are calling him a “traitor.”

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.

The Obamas never miss an opportunity to mingle with the stars and during a two-day trip in Dublin, who better to have lunch with than iconic Irish rocker and philanthropist Bono? First Lady Michelle along with daughters Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, started Tuesday with an hour-long visit to picturesque Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains--but the two girls looked like they would have rather slept in at their luxury hotel. Glendalough is famous for its Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin, the hermit priest. After appearing less than thrilled on Monday while viewing Medieval manuscripts
