Big Bird has $50 million in his bank account. He is part of the 1%. It is time to do what every mother bird must do. Kick him out of the government nest. Bird needs to pay his own way, pay his fair share, show everyone that he is a patriot by chipping in a bit more for his own care. Fly away little bird, fly away from the government plantation.

Leftists have been assuring themselves and others that they are intelligent, clever, witty and sophisticated so long that they have begun to believe it themselves, which perhaps explains excruciatingly sophomoric and embarrassing ads like this one. Leftism at bottom seems to be a disorder of emotional and intellectual maturation, a state of arrested development in the teen years. Most of those people have simply never grown up.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate."
