| Credit President Barack Obama’s aides with discernment. Even before the first presidential debate was over, they knew they needed to come up with an excuse, and fast. They settled on one that they haven’t stopped repeating: Mitt Romney lied his way to victory. The president would have rebutted Romney’s gross deceptions, except he was too focused on answering questions about the country’s future and too taken aback by Romney’s brazenness to answer the former governor in real time. Although once he had a day or two and his witty rejoinders

Romney is too credible to make the lie accusation stick.Romney hasn't been caught in any slam dunk proof that he's lied about anything. His tax plan is a work in progress,so people can fill in the blanks anyway they want but it's crazy to say he wants a $5 trillion tax cut for rich people while raising taxes on the middle class to pay for it. The clown that came up with this lie is a former Obama insider who's pretending to be non partisan now.

The chorus of "Romney lied" on Sunday's "news" shows was astonishing. They all had their marching orders, didn't they!
This blatant attack needs to be confronted head-on.
Romney needs to call out The Wun at the next debate on his veracity (or great lack thereof). Ask him to tell the American people the truth about....well, no need to list all the deceptions here, but we could start with that "autobiography." (And don't let the little creep get away with calling it "poetic license." This is a man who doesn't know what poetry is, any more than he knows what history is.)
Nominate as a must-read.

The left's problem, that Romney has 'failed to live down to their rank caricature of him,' has created a nightmare for Obama. Republicans, and most certainly Mitt Romney, are supposed to turn the other cheek .... be nice to the president. After all, he is a black man, and that is supposed to place him ABOVE criticism. .... John McCain bought into this, but Mitt is not going to play the race game. Obama is just a man, and that his skin is black should have matter not in the discussion of leadership, pattriotism, character, integrity and ability.

The core strategy of Obama's campaign has gone up in smoke and they have no fallback. Obama not only can't run on his record, he has no declared post-election agenda. Cap and trade, climate change, amnesty for illegals, etc are all losers with the majority of Americans so the Obama camp has settled on silence. Now the 'destroy Romney' rug has been suddenly pulled out from under them and they still flailing around with 'Romney lies' meme sounding more and more like schoolyard bullies. This is the beginning of the end.

The problem for the Obama apparatchiks and their MSM enablers is that the magnificent debate win by Romney in effect inoculated him from these desperate assertions. 67 million people saw Romney unfiltered. And what they saw was a decent, honest, intelligent, and competent man.
Now, no amount of Axelgrease can slime him. And the harder they try, the worse THEY look. Watch for the polls to continue to swing to Romney the more they try to slime him.

My predictions:
Next, Ryan will wipe the floor with Biden, game, set, match. Biden will have at least 3 terrifically funny gaffes.
Then there will be traps all over set for Romney in the town hall debate but he will dodge them while continuing to look presidential - not a huge win but a comfortable one.
Then in the final debate Romney will score knockout punch after punch until the Obammunist either cries or walks off stage.
(Okay, so I can dream, but I have a good feeling it won't happen far differently from this!)

#3 Not only do they have no shame, but the crude intellect of Chicago thuggery by Axelhole has exposed itself to be on a par with the old school yard taunt - "Yah? well your mother wears army boots".
It's mind boggling to imagine that these lowlifes have been running the country for the last four years. When one sees the mess they've made, reality sets in. The nightmare we're in is proof unfortunately.

Eddie Haskell exposed. Finally we see it; Eddie trying to explain himself to Ward, Beaver and Wally's dad. Remember?
Eddie would start to mounth off his obvious BeeEss and the Ward would just sort of cross his arms and say "Uh, huh." and everyone would laugh. Kind of what happened at that debate. Except this time Eddie has an actual fan club of booger-eating nerds like him. Attack of the Urkels.
Now President Haskell-Urkel is trying -with his equally pathetic nerd mininions to explain to everyone why he doesn't have his homework.

As a sociological/psychological phenomenon it was fascinating to watch commenters on the NYT site pick up the meme almost instantly.
But what has Romney 'lied' about? Both Obama and his supporters are dreaming the impossible dream by implying that ROMNEY has been president since Jan 2009 i.e. that Romney is contradicting his record - a record that doesn't exist because it can't exist. Obviously the exact opposite is true.
It is also fascinating to watch Axelrod/Jarrett/Cutter voluntarily abandon any claim to any sort of accomplishment on the part of Obama (now that GM is faltering) and instead focus 100% on destroying the opponent. Obama has an ego but he has no pride - otherwise he might instruct his lieutenants to say something nice about him once in a while. Instead, he scorches the earth along with them. Forget about vetting - Obama is simply unworthy of any public trust.

By calling Romney a liar repeatedly, Zippy and his surrogates are directly attacking the intelligence of Indpendent voters who clearly saw differently. In the second debate these viewers are going to be doing a even harsher evaluation of Democrat ads against what unfolds in front of their eyes and ears. Don't they understand that? Looking at the steady string of exploded cigars in their wake, the simple answer seems to be - no.

Axe and company actually believe that Romney is lying. This continues to amaze me. Leftism is a strange belief system. As long as they just talk with each other and aren't called out by the press, they soldier on.
But - when called out publicly, as Cutter was recently by Burnett on CNN about Mitt's "$5 billion tax cut", she caved down to one billion, in a few seconds.

In all fairness, it really isn’t Obama’s fault. In any debate, battle or competition between a real, genuine, self-made American male and a lazy, metrosexual, celebrity-wanna-be, liberal, compulsive liar (yeah, I know… those last 2 are redundant); the result will always be the kind of one-sided drubbing that we witnessed last Wednesday. And the loss is often followed by a litany of baseless “excuses” by the self-absorbed loser and his “entourage” of sycophantic defenders and hanger-oners.

I'll sum this up this way. For months the O team who can't shoot straight and their suckups in the MSM called Romney a crook, wimp, and a murderer and basically thought they had him on the ropes. They get to the first debate and the gov. comes out swinging and Oblamo had no defense and thus went down in flames. Having no defense the O team's plugmunchers(Gibbs, Axelgrease, Soledud Obrien etc) have resulted in calling Romney a liar. The only problem with this foolish tact is that the governor is just too credible with his hitting DA WUN that this won't stick. I agree with #5 about how McLame bought into being nice to Odumbo and how Romney ain't playing that game. Number 10 I agree with your assessments wholeheartedly. It's funny how the Obamamedia is playing up the fact that Joe Biden won't put his foot in his mouth during the debate on Thrusday. About how good he did in 2008 and so on. Ryan will eat old goofball Joe's lunch without breaking a sweat.

The two big lies repeated by the left are:
#1. He lied. #2. There are no specifics on loop holes and deductions.
The first is a school yard name calling tactic. (They think we are too stupid to recognize it. The poles say otherwise.)
The second could be explained like this. If the cuts are decided in a bipartisan manner, it is more difficult for the left to squeal like stuck pigs that any cut will cause the end of the world as we know it. That is exactly why the left is continually baiting Romney and Ryan to be specific, and why it is so wise of them not to take the bait. I just think if they tactfully offer this explanation, it will kill the argument of the left for specifics.

When is letting taxpayers KEEP more of their own money mean the government has to pay for that? When the government cuts taxes, people SPEND more resulting in MORE tax revenues to the government, more workers get hired resulting in more spending and more tax income to the government. This is what the liberals claim never works and IT HAS WORKED 100% when tried. GW Bush, JFK, BJ Clinton, Reagan all cut taxes and revenues increased every time.

If NerØbama can be confused and taken aback when confronted with Romney's "lies", what will happen when he sits down with Vladimir Putin or Hu Jintao? Will he prevail when faced with their lies? The lefties are doing that "repeat a lie over and over again until the people believe it to be true" junk. I go to lots of postings after articles and get into it with the lefties all the time. I noticed that a few days AFTER the debate is when the posters started all saying things like "I have never heard any candidate lie as much as Romney did". So, being the "terrier with a sock" that I am, I would go after each one about who the real liars are (Obama and leftists in general), exposing their tactics and telling folks that Romney has too much integrity to lie and, besides, he doesn't have to because truth is on our side! I also go on to tell them that leftists don't know economics, finance or history because if they did, they wouldn't vote Democrat unless they are part of the evil elite in power who simply want all the control and wealth for themselves. I love jumping on them and countering their posts. It is the only place where people of other viewpoints will see the truth.

And why all this is happening? Because leftists have the media but conservatives don't! I am drumming this thought: we need conservative mainstream media, like it is supposed to be in the civilized country with opposing parties. We need to forget about bias-shmias. Just have our own newspapers, especially local ones, and tv stations, owned by likes of Trump, Koch brothers or Adelson. And don't let commies penetrate them - they have enough: nyt, wapo (local newspapers reprinting their garbage) and all tv alphabets!

Romney has a sterling reputation as a business man. You don't get that by being a liar. He was practically idolized fro his work at the Olympics. People may not have liked his politics in MA but he basically did what he said he would do. In summation, Romney has been an honest man all his life.
Yet now, we are to believe that he has flagrantly lied to the public's face. And what proof is there? None. Just BO's assertion.
Meanwhile we have BO who has make spectacular public promises and kept none of them. The most devastating ads against BO are the ones using his own words and showing how he has failed to keep his promises. BO is a lair.
So we have a liar calling an honest man a liar. Logic neatly solves this problem for us.
The electorate KNOWS who is lying. That's why they overwhelmingly thought Romney won the debate. Romney was convincing and BO was not. Romney was truthful and BO was not. And all the whining by liberals will not change that outcome in the public's perception and they know it. That's why they are going nuts.

There’s a huge red flag in the Benghazi mess, but conservatives are letting the media get away with using a red herring to avoid it. Give the establishment media credit for obstinacy: Once it settles on a standard narrative or explanation for a particular subject, it shows remarkable discipline in explaining away any evidence that contradicts its own approved spin. So it has been with the media’s 250-day old determination to downplay the scandalous nature of the Obama administration’s treatment of its outpost in Benghazi before, during, and after the terrorist attack there that took four American lives.

Lawmakers across the country are tussling over the Obama administration´s plans to create a small army of assistants to guide millions of Americans as they sign up for new health-insurance options available this fall. Backers of the health-care overhaul face an uphill battle to spread the word about the law, in the face of consumer research that suggests most uninsured people know little about it and are skeptical about the value of health insurance generally. Some Democrats have openly worried that the administration is doing too little to make sure the enrollment process goes smoothly. That is where the "patient navigators"

Labor unions are breaking with President Obama on ObamaCare. Months after the president’s reelection, a variety of unions are publicly balking at how the administration plans to implement the landmark law. They warn that unless there are changes, the results could be catastrophic. The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) — a 1.3 million-member labor group that twice endorsed Obama for president — is very worried about how the reform law will affect its members’ healthcare plans. Last month, the president of the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers released a statement calling “for repeal

Since Hillary Clinton last came up to Capitol Hill, we’ve learned senior State Department officials sought to scrub references to terrorism from the infamous Benghazi talking points to insulate Foggy Bottom from political criticism — citing concerns of their “building’s leadership” to justify the demands. The rising temperature of the scandal means it’s possible that Hillary could be asked to return and testify again. If she comes back, she had better be prepared, says House Oversight and Government Reform chairman Darrell Issa. “We are interviewing lots of people, most of them under oath,” Issa says, describing the “methodical” approach his committee

We hear a lot, these days, about how President Obama is not like Lyndon Johnson and thanks be to heaven for that small mercy. The point seems to be that the president doesn´t know how to arm twist, sweet talk, bribe, and emasculate both friend and enemy (of which he truly had neither) in order to further his agenda. Since many among the chattering class believe, still, in that agenda, his is generally regarded as an excellent presidency. These whistleblowers, colleagues of the former diplomats, are currently securing legal counsel because they work in areas not fully protected by the Whistleblower law. According to the diplomats, what these whistleblowers will say will be at least as explosive as what we have already learned about the scandal, including details about what really transpired in Benghazi that are potentially devastating to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
