I'm in Michigan and I think Romney has a chance here. He should put some ads on during the college football games and the pros too. I had to order my Romney sign (in mid-Sept) and they just notified me yesterday that it's coming. I wish they would fight here. I don't see many Obama signs or bumper stickers at all in any place but Ann Arbor and even there they're way down from 2008. I finally got a sign from our victory center and got it up. Had to go there twice to get it.

Here in Michigan I know 8 people, adults with families, who have never voted in their life, who have registered specifically so they can vote against Obama. Granted 8 people won't swing the State for Romney but there are a lot more where they came from. Around the office you can't find anyone who will admit they voted for him the first time. Very very different than 2008. Just saying.

I guess the American people stopped clinging to their guns and religion for a moment and picked up the telephone. Earth to the Chicago pols: they've been there all along and now they're going to home in on your posteriors with a size 10W.

I have faith in my fellow Americans and my only worry is the Chicago corruption when the vote is counted. As one of the home repairers for the elderly told me, he knows of people called by pollsters and they lied to them. Said they were still undecided and do not want to admit they will vote for the Governor this time for fear of being hounded even though the poll is supposedly confidential. They don't believe the pollsters and my bet is the percentage shift is far greater.

Was called yesterday by Rasmussen. Very extensive poll.. lots of questions, even on Geitner and Holder. Im not exactly in a swing state, so dont know how they chose me, but they know now if they had a choice of "broken glass" to rate my likeliness to vote, I would have chosen it. They said results of the poll would be released in couple days.

Michigan citizens get in your cars and drive to Detroit. Then let me know if you really think democratic ideas are working.

There is only one poll that counts and that is on Nov 6.

When I drive to work towards Warren/Detroit Ive seen a few Obama 2012. You cant fix stupid.

I live in Jackson, MI and because of Obama's policies, am currently unemployed. So I have been helping at the Romney Victory Center, here in town. I have two signs up in my yard, there are NO Obama signs anywhere in my neighborhood. I watched the first debate at the Romney Center and will watch the rest of the debates there as well. I also plan to be at the center popping champaign corks on Nov. 6th. If you have any spare time, find the Romney site near you and spend just an hour on the phones. Every bit helps and the results will be so much sweeter!

I work two part-time jobs and aim to volunteer 3 hours a week at the Romney call center in Mechanicsburg PA. It's fun to be part of the campaign.

I would LOVE to know how the Rasmussen poll's phone number shows on your caller i.d....I ignore all the phone calls that come but love to get the one (if they ever do) call from a pollster. I've never been polled. Can you give out that info, I would appreciate it. Thanx

It is strangely silent here in San Diego, nary an Obama sign in sight. Of course I haven't driven through the Gay areas or other strongholds of the Democrat Party. I wonder how the Hispanic vote will pan out this time. I'm getting the feeling that Obama isn't exactly too popular with the Mexican population.The Military here will go for Romney of course.

Romney is doing well. Looks positive and presidential. Glad to hear all the positives in Michigan.

He needs to link the Obama agenda(don't use policies it's an agenda), and the high gasoline prices.

High gasoline prices means people have less to spend, and we're 70% a consumption economy.

Obama agenda, using the EPA, will stop fracking, will stop future oil production, and reduce taxable revenues to cities, counties and states who are enjoying those new added revenue streams.

I just pray that all of this momentum will last for the next 4 weeks. We have to keep our eye on the ball and never give up or take anything for granted.

There is only one significant political office contested in Illinois in this election: President of the United States. Neither US Senate seat, nor the mayor of Chicago, nor the governorship is up for election this year. Obama is out there all by himself. No one of any import depends on him or his turnout in this election. So, with no big guys with anything riding on this, why would anyone voluntarily lash himself to the mast of the sinking Obama ship and ride it to the bottom? To answer that, first ask: who has Obama done anything for to merit such loyalty? Answer: nobody.

Chicago is a Notre Dame town. Catholic. At one time there were more Poles in Chicago than in Warsaw. Maybe still. Does anyone seriously expect the first Jewish mayor of Chicago to put it all on the line to try to rally the Irish, Italian, Polish, and Hispanic Catholics to vote against their interests and come out for a president who is in the middle of a war on the Catholic Church? Really? Smarter to just sit this one out and let that Hyde Park Obama/Jarrett crowd sink. And if Chicago sits it out, suburbs and downstate deliver Illinois to Romney.

This ain't rocket science to figure THIS out. Illinois is going to be in play for Romney.

If 0bama sucks in the next debate the vote for him will become so depressed that even the pollsters won't be able to cover for him anymore. Though many if not most of them want 0bama to win being wrong by over 10 points is too much for them to sacrifice for 0bama.

To respond to the question by poster above about my Rasmussen poll, the number showed up in caller ID.. was not a 800# but it was a phone number from out of state. Im like most.. I dont answer any calls that says private caller or "unkonwn". I thought it was a family member. They immediately identified themselves (all on tape, obviously). But, once I heard Rasmussen, I knew it was a national poll. I havent been polled in a very long time, for national polls anyway.

Just got my Romney sign. Here in Meehan country (SE Pennsylvania) I'm seeing many more Romney signs than what's his name, Obummer? something like that.

The only thing that bothered me about the two polls they did not have the D+ factors.

I have 2 co-workers--college educated professionals, with lots of smarts and would fall into the >$250K/yr income bracket.
Both numbskulls voted fro Obama because they alwaqys vote Dem, As late as Labor Day, they were strong supporters of Choom Boy (can't admit their error in voting for him in 2008, doncha know)
Today, both libtards told me they are "undecided, leaning Romney"--meaning they will vote for Romney for sure. Both cited the poor debate by Obama and the alibis afterward.

DO YOU GET IT? There are many thousands of people who voted for Obama in 2008 for whatever reason--party loyalty, white guilt, liberalism.
They now regret their vote and are looking for an excuse to switch.
The debate (with Obama looking like a fool) and the aftermath (with Obama calling Romney a liar) now give these people AN EXCUSE to switch their votes over to Romney, without ever having to admit they were hoodwinked in 2008.
Romney's debate success gave 2008 Obama voters the excuse they needed to drop Obama in 2012.
