Did Obama Just Throw
The Entire Election Away?

Daily Beast, by Andrew Sullivan

The Pew poll is devastating, just devastating. Before the debate, Obama had a 51 - 43 lead; now, Romney has a 49 - 45 lead. That's a simply unprecedented reversal for a candidate in October. Before Obama had leads on every policy issue and personal characteristic; now Romney leads in almost all of them. Obama's performance gave Romney a 12 point swing! I repeat: a 12 point swing. Romney's favorables are above Obama's now. Yes, you read that right. Romney's favorables are higher than Obama's right now. That gender gap that was Obama's firewall? Over in one night:

Andrew Sullivan - poor guy - has his apron over his head. He just cannot BELIEVE his messiah can have bungled it this badly.

I won't be satisfied until I see a Romney sweep on 11/6. Anything less can be fiddled. Look what just happened in Venezuela...

I feel so, so sorry for your own vanity. Yours and many liberals have their personal vanity at stake. You have been had, and we will no longer be had by you.

I will now go out on a limb here: Romney/Ryan in a landslide, especially after Thursday nights debate. Oh, did I mention get the popcorn ready for that one?

When you lose the New Yorker Daily, Chris Matthews, F. Chuck Todd, the nyt's, and la times, you are cooked.

Unless he declares Marshll law, the Tea Party is going to do to him what we did in 2010.

Not saying don't go out and vote, we all need to! Just saying the numbers don't add up and time is growing nigh. I think obamster is tired of "leading" the country and wants all the perks an ex-president gets without all the hassle. He HATES the work!

To put it bluntly: yes.

But to be fair, was there really anything else that Obama could have been expected to do? He has failed America in every way, and has nothing positive to show for four years in office. Osama doesn't count. Hunting him was W's program.

FTA: "Obama still has an edge on Medicare, scores much higher on relating to ordinary people, is ahead on foreign policy..."

In the next debate, which is a townhall syle, Romney will have a chance to be conversational with the audience. Then the last one on foreign policy on the 24th. Romney will do a slice and dice of Obama on foreign policy, and by Halloween even ILLINOIS will be in play. If Sullivan thinks it's bad for Obama now, just stick around and pay attention.

Remember when Andrew was a fiscal conservative and a war hawk? That was, until Bush came out in support of a marriage amendment. And Andy's transformation to hardcore liberal was complete when Barry entered the race. I wonder why? Where, by the way, is Andrew on the Libya debacle? You would think that he would show the same amount of emotion over the murder of our ambassador (and the mobs dragging his body through the streets) that he does over Obama's lackluster debate performance.

Dream on Sullivan, Zero never had such a lead, it was just the usual liberal publications and pollsters juggling the numbers and the people polled. Face it, the man is incompetent, lazy, an ideologue and a danger to the Republic. You bozos knew this and still sold him to the American people. Romney exposed him for what he is... a completely empty suit, so stop whimpering and change your diaper.

FTA: "has that kind of swing ever happened this late in a campaign? Has any candidate lost 18 points among women voters in one night ever? And we are told that when Obama left the stage that night, he was feeling good. That's terrifying. On every single issue, Obama has instantly plummeted into near-oblivion."

This person is so deceived! Obama and his extremist populated administration represents 'reality-based' government? Reading that statement makes me feel ill!

The MSM continues to foist this notion that Obama is responsible for Romney's upturn. The truth is we all had an unvarnished look at Romney (w/o the extreme media bias clouding our perception) and guess what - Romney looks pretty good!

Romney won that debate because he was prepared, he was confident, and he was enthusiastic. He was much more dynamic than the Poser.

There were alot of AA (African Americans) voters. They were Bused in.
Our turn out is critcial!

I had to fill out 2 sheets,on both it asked for your DL# or last 4 digits of SS#. Officials check it to see if they match, one AA bro was called out on it... that was reasuring.
I will go to my polling place in Nov. to see if it is recorded that I voted early.

#20...it isn't just Sullivan who is brainwashed into the "lie" business. Ask any Liberal precisely what the lie is and what document do they have, or can point to, to prove it is a lie? They can't do it. They just know "he lies" because some pathetic excuse of human excrement said so.

When you ask a people (as did Howard Stern and Jay Leno) who is President Obama's running mate and they answer Paul Ryan, or you ask who is running against Obama and they say McCain, you know this country is full of gullible ignorant people.

I think it would be fun to meet the mothers of those in the Media and ask them if they are proud of raising children who became communist traitors and to twist stories around and deliberately lie to the American People? Are you truly proud of what you raised?

Thank goodness we have scholars like Ann and Jonah and others to help us understand how undeveloped the minds of today's liberals are.

I am so glad that we had Ronaldus Maximus to save our country from them when we needed him, and that a good man like Mitt has made the transition from business to government.

Having been born and raised in the NYC area, I moved to Florida as a relatively young man with family. I now consider myself a southerner, by the grace of God.

My wife and I are too upset for words by the NYr's, Ohioans and other Yankee types coming down here and "rearranging the furniture.". They came here to escape what happened to their native states, yet dare to tell us how it should be and how wrong we are. They brought their stinkin' politics and 'gimme' arogance with them. I would like to go to each of their homes on election day and use either a penny or a nail gun to lock them in. We don't need any more damage.

What happened was:

1) the MEDIA (that would be you, Sullivan) could no longer only sound-bite Romney into the caricature they have been shamelessly pushing onto the public, &

2) the MEDIA could no longer sound-bite Obama into faux brilliance in sound bites to the public.

I said this before the debate. John Q. Public could see for him/herself the candidates as they really are for almost 2 blessed hours. If it weren't for debates (that really aren't debates, but, rather PR), the conservative side of the country would be completely screwed by YOUR profession, Sullivan. Truth is hard for you guys to take, I know. You'll probably find a way to stop televising the debates, too, next election.

Andrew Sullivan’s article summation:
Romney leads; Romney lies; Romney has highest turn around ever; Romney lies; propaganda, more lies; Obama has edge on Medicare, foreign policy, on being moderate, consistent, and honest (!); Romney lies; Obama threw in the towel – didn’t rebut; Romney lies; Obama too arrogant; Romney lies; President self-immolates on live TV; Romney lies.

Reader’s conclusion: Obama is a dismal failure; desperate supporters find nothing to support; have no strategy except to accuse opponent of ‘lies’ without backup. Romney prevailing. So sorry, Andrew.

This means thermo-nuclear war from their side. They will now lie much more, cheat like they are going to be hanged tomorrow and Obama will bomb Iran before they lose.

#6, polls that over-sample democrats or republicans aren't necessarily wrong. The pollsters are well aware of it and adjust the results accordingly.

Nor is oversampling evidence of trying to manipulate the results. When pollsters call, they simply can't know ahead of time who's going to be home and who's not. Nor can they know who's going to hang up on them and who won't.

Funny how they told us that the debate was going to be meaningless and would change nothing. Turns out the debate was important after all because it was when millions of voters actually got to meet Romney for the first time outside of distorted Obama ads and biased news clips from the lamestreams. Seems people liked what they saw especially in comparison to the empty chair he debated against.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I´ve gotta tell, another little thing about Nelson Mandela. Do you realize in a couple of ways, maybe even more than a couple, Nelson Mandela has more in common or had more in common with Clarence Thomas than he does with Barack Obama? For example, Nelson Mandela (even prior to becoming president, but certainly after he became president of South Africa) insisted on compliance with his country´s constitution. He insisted on it. Obama looks at the US Constitution as an obstacle and makes end runs around it every day, practically. In that sense... These are the kind of

RUSH: Let me give you what is, I think, one of the most amazing things I ever heard Nelson Mandela say. We had fun with Mandela when he was in New York, when he came to New York and went to Yankees Stadium. But I´ll tell you, there are very few people that could have undergone what he went through and maintained any sense of dignity or optimism.(Snip) "Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies." Is that not great? And it´s great because it´s exactly right. Resentment doesn´t do anybody any good.

The U.S. federal health insurance website HealthCare.gov, which has had technology problems since its October 1 launch, is now experiencing errors in transmitting applications about 10 percent of the time, a government spokeswoman said on Friday. The online insurance marketplace relays information about new customers in ´834´ transaction forms to the private insurance companies that provide the health plans. HealthCare.gov serves people in 36 states, while 14 states are running their own websites. "We believe nine of 10 transactions are being successfully transmitted," the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS, spokeswoman Julie Bataille said at a news briefing.

Washington — Thad Cochran, a Mississippi Republican who was first elected to the Senate in 1978, set up a generational and ideological clash in the state’s Republican primary when he announced Friday that he would seek a seventh term in 2014. While Mr. Cochran, who turns 76 on Saturday, has the support of many leading Republicans in the state, he is already facing opposition from Chris McDaniel, 41, a state senator aligned with the Tea Party who announced his candidacy in October and has won the support of some conservative groups. Mr. Cochran, who has raised less than $1 million

Rep. James Sensenbrenner Jr., the original author of the Patriot Act, says Director of National Intelligence James Clapper should be prosecuted for lying to Congress. "Lying to Congress is a federal offense, and Clapper ought to be fired and prosecuted for it," the Wisconsin Republican said in an interview with The Hill. He said the Justice Department should prosecute Clapper for giving false testimony during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing in March. During that hearing, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) asked Clapper whether the National Security Agency (NSA) collects data on millions of Americans. Clapper insisted that the NSA does not

Washington - President Barack Obama on Thursday defended his nuclear diplomacy with Iran before an audience of Israeli diplomats and senior members of the US Jewish community and officials. At a White House Hanukkah reception, Obama said that it was important for the United States to test Iran´s intentions, and pledged to keep working for a comprehensive deal to deprive Tehran of a nuclear weapon. "For the first time in a decade we have halted progress of Iran´s nuclear program," Obama said. "Key parts of the program will be rolled back even though the toughest of our sanctions remain in

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.
