| Police in Memphis say a red pick-up truck inscribed with the words "Meth Lab" in the rear window turned out to be just that. After being stopped for a license plate violation early Friday morning, the driver was arrested for outstanding warrants and other meth-related charges. Hazmat crews later removed the chemicals from the truck.

Dumbest criminal award. I'd laugh at him, except for all those lives he's destroyed with his poison.

Maybe he used so much meth himself or had been exposed to the toxic fumes that he needed to label the truck so he could find it. ;-)

It's not unlike cars you see with "Bad Cop, No Donut" stickers, just begging to be pulled over. For that matter, how many other druggies get caught sampling the goods while hauling tens of thousands of dollars' worth of dope around?

I have been thinking about Agent Ivie who was shot and killed by friendly fire last week. Does it bother anyone else that supposedly he shot first, I mean before any other shots were supposedly fired? Why would he have done that unless he thought he was being shot at? I understand the rest of it that when the other agent was hit, she returned fire, but I thought agents weren't to initiate shooting? Given this admin and their propensity for lying and covering up, I wouldn't put anything passed them.

Ya, Janylou...
That bothered me too.
Friendly fire is always possible but....
If it was your job to train people for combat...
Wouldn't Job#1 be all about how not to shoot each other ???

TAMPA — The son of a Lutz fertility doctor killed an ex-girlfriend´s unborn child by tricking her into taking an abortion drug, federal authorities said Wednesday. The act could put John Andrew Welden, 28, in prison for life. Welden forged the doctor´s signature on a prescription for Cytotec, relabeled a pill bottle as "Amoxicillin" and told the woman that his father wanted her on antibiotics, a federal prosecutor asserted Wednesday. The incident occurred in March after an ultrasound at Dr. Stephen Ward Welden´s office confirmed the pregnancy, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Steve Muldrow. The doctor, a board certified

The situation surrounding the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups worsened over the weekend with a series of revelations that suggest it could grow into a major political problem for Democrats over the coming months. (Snip) What became clear in the first 72 hours of the story was that this (a) wasn’t an isolated, dumb incident by some random field office, (b) was something high-level officials were aware of, and (c) was going to be in the news cycle for quite some time. The problem for Democrats is that the IRS’s targeting of conservatives plays directly into

A science fiction short story written many years ago narrated the efforts by human colonists to eradicate vermin they found on their newly settled world. (Snip) The problem with knowledge is that its proper employment is not a function of pure science. It is a function of cultural morality and governance. Why do people worry about a North Korean nuclear bomb and not a Canadian one? Canadian technology is far superior to North Koreas, but there is general confidence in its ethical capacity to control the employment of that capability while there is probably none whatever for North Korea.

The graffiti scrawled on the bunkhouse exterior struck me as rather impatient. Surely there were worse places to be waiting around than the Garhwal Himalayas, where the peaks of northern India jostle with the mountains of Tibet and Nepal. Yet among the Sanskrit prayers that had been written on the walls, some wag had inked: "Where the hell is Chanderam?" The bunkhouse caretaker evidently had a habit of running late. His were not the only whereabouts I was pondering. I was in some of the most majestic mountain-country on earth, looking out over a sweep of alpine meadows

ST. PETERSBURG - One by one, on a small stage in a room overlooking an elaborate garden and the the bay beyond it, 80 people are taking turns reading excerpts from “The Secret Life of Salvador Dali,” the artist’s autobiography, in 15-minute increments. (Snip) “[It’s] supposedly a confessional,” said Peter Tush, the museum’s curator of education. “He took advantage of factual stories of his life and modified them and distorted them and created these hyperbolic stories that are deliberately falsified.” (Snip) “He’s such an eclectic individual that he acts as kind of a hub for a lot of different types

TAMPA - Former Gov. Charlie Crist announced this week that he supports allowing same-sex marriage in Florida, the latest in a trend toward pro-gay-rights stances by Crist during his political career. That aligns Crist, a former Republican, with the other Democrats generally perceived as the party’s potential candidates for governor: Sen. Bill Nelson, former state Sen. Nan Rich and former state finance chief Alex Sink of Tampa. Nelson, formerly opposed to marriage rights for same-sex couples, recently announced he has changed his position and supports it. Rich, who’s running, and Sink, who’s considering running, both said

The penultimate casualty of Benghazi may be the effort to unseat Assad from Damascus. The BBC ran a story that could have come from the pages of the Belmont Club. “Could Syria conflict become regional war” involving Israel via Lebanon? Ya think? (Snip) The Russians remembered what Obama never learned. Always control the man to whom you give the gun. Whatever Assad’s moral defects may be he knows where his orders come from. The problem for the administration is what now? First of all it is by no means certain that the President can throw the Titanic into reverse.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

"Can you see in your mind´s eye a way that this might not have been political, that this was a misguided stupid way to sort, but that they didn´t intend it to be some kind of political attempt to harass the Tea Party?" So actually asked CNN´s Candy Crowley of her guest Sen. A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.
