Obama’s staffers changed election
strategy during Denver debate

The president’s top campaign staffers changed his reelection strategy while he was still on the debate-podium during his losing debate against Gov Mitt Romney, according to an article in The New York Times. “On the conference call convened by aides in Denver and Chicago even as the candidates were still on stage… In just minutes, they reversed a longstanding strategic decision,” without the president’s involvement, according to the Oct. 8 article. “At the start of the campaign they had decided to attack Mr. Romney as a committed conservative rather than a flip-flopper, but now they decided to

So - it appears his staff runs the show and Obama is just the obedient servant doing as he's told, saying what he's told to say.

The smartest man ever to be president has, once again, been betrayed by his stupid, incompetent subordinates.

So, the new plan is NOT to look like an incompetent boob?

This explains two things that were observed by numerous people immediately after the debate....

1) The Obama spin team didn't show up in the spin room for 5 minutes or so after the debate.

2) When they did show up, there were only a very small number of them

This is because they were still trying to iron out what they were going to say and only a small number of people could be trusted to keep the fragile web of lies straight.

They should have changed sides.

What color is the sky in their world? This would be hilarious if such life-threatening issues didn't hang in the balance.

It all boils down to the fact the he's as dumb as a stump without his teleprompter. When he speaks live...he's dead. (Metaphorically speaking, you obamobots)

When his staffers heard the first 2 minutes of his opening rambling salvo, I'll bet they began their panic conference call in disbelief.

Reply 11 - Posted by: southernboy, 10/8/2012 2:38:50 PM     (No. 8918433)

Did they relay the new strategy to Zippy via the little bug in his ear?

Reply 12 - Posted by: mabelkitty, 10/8/2012 2:45:50 PM     (No. 8918452)

The new plan is NOT to paint his as a moderate to shake off the base?

The plan is to paint him as a Conservative?

Did they not watch the news on Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day? Each sandwich translates into a vote.

Do we have some spies running Obama's campaign?

Wow. These staffers are awesome.

They were able to pivot mid-debate and concoct a whole new strategy for Empty Chair to follow--WITHOUT A FOCUS GROUP!

"At the start of the campaign they had decided to attack Mr. Romney as a committed conservative rather than a flip-flopper, but now they decided to use his debate statements to argue that he was reinventing himself"

In other words, the Obama campaign has flip-flopped on the issue of whether Romney is a flip-flopper.

I'll bet the people on the call were all a bunch of white people who think all black people are as dumb as their candidate. I can only imagine the things they must say behind his back. Ummh, ummh, ummh-ummh.

Whether Mitt Romney becomes the 45th president or not, Politico's Jonathan Martin insists that the Republican Party is on the verge of a looming crisis. Sticking with the same overgeneralized racist narrative, it is basically a 'fact' at this point that the GOP's conservative ideology and a lack of diversity will ultimately lead to its downfall. Conversely, the Democratic Party is poised to dominate in future elections. Nevermind that we heard this before in 2006 and 2008, with Clinton acolyte James Carville forecasted 40 years in the wilderness for the GOP. No, Martin insists that demography is destiny,

Obama Ends Campaign

President Obama’s big rally tonight turned out to be just like his first, opening salvo of the 2012 campaign: a half-empty arena in Ohio. According toRealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out. As it turns out, the empty seats didn’t look exactly “scattered.” They looked like substantial portions of the upper bowl of the arena, according to photos tweeted by those in attendance:

Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday struggled to draw 1,000 people at two campaign events in Colorado, one of the most important swing states this election. Republicans in Colorado have said they have not seen this much enthusiasm for the top of a Republican ticket in a decade, which is a contrast from Democrats, who are seeing a diminished level of enthusiasm from 2008. At an event in Englewood, Colorado, Biden's crowd "fell just short of a thousand people"--while an event with Romney drew 18,000--and another Biden event drew 1,200 in Pueblo, Colorado.

With a new American Future Fund poll showing Mitt Romney with a one-point lead in liberal Minnesota, Paul Ryan went to the state President Barack Obama won by more than 10 percentage points in 2008 and drew a crowd of nearly 9,000 people on Sunday. A source who was at the event told Breitbart News Minnesota GOP Chair Pat Shortridge announced 9,000 people were in attendance, and Ryan said another 1,000 people had to be turned away because the venue was filled to capacity. Today, speaking in Concord, New Hampshire, trying to look bipartisan, Barack Obama made this incredible statement: “As long as I’m president, I’ll work with anybody.” He can’t be serious. For a start, let’s take a look at immigration reform. In June of this year, Sen. John McCain, who has always championed bipartisanship, said bitterly: “This idea that this president or his people reached out to me is patently false. To somehow allege that I didn’t somehow respond to their overtures, that’s patently false. That’s their narrative, and I understand their narrative, but it’s not substantiated by the facts.”

The Illinois Republican party claims early and absentee voting has precipitously fallen since the 2008 presidential election. According to the numbers, at this point in 2008, there were 260,376 early voters and 304,290 absentee voters. Now, the party maintains, there are 195,064 early voters and 46,232 absentee voters. That's a loss of 57 percent of voters, since the last election. This, the Illinois Republican party says, is a terrible sign for Democrats. "Chicago is the heart and soul of the Democratic Party," says Illinois Republican party chair Pat Brady. "You can't get much more solid blue than Chicago

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
