I think we all understand the ''Lashawns'' by now. The tales of lack of enthusiasm for 0bama voters and a growing resolve by those against 0bama to get him out are frequent and easy to find. Even the media sees them but still tries to ignore their number and counter them with claptrap. They might as well go to central Chicago and people standing around who they are going to vote for.

Voting age was dropped to 18 during the Vietnam conflict due to the military draft, being that, if you can die for the country should be able to vote for your country. No draft now, probably ever again. Should raise the voting age back to 21.

Jacksonville is a military town and it voted in its first Black mayor last year. Brown, a democrat ran as a more conservative candidate than the republican. Brown is actually doing a good job as mayor.
However..... The black population voted for Brown solely because of race. There was literally dancing in the streets when Brown won.
Now.....to Obama. EVERY Obama/Biden sticker that I see on a car down here is either driven by a black American, an obvious feminist or a 50-60 year old male with a pony tail. That said..... Obama didnt win Jacksonville in 2008 and he's not likely to win it in 2012. Obama has done nothing for Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, and the entire state of Florida for that matter, used to be considered a Republican lock. Not any more. The demographics have changed dramatically. With massive numbers of retiries from northern Deep-Blue states and added with the hordes of foreign immigrants has changed all that.

Surprisingly, there is NO right to vote in a Presidential election. (See Gore vs Bush) Supreme Court ruling.
I think that only taxpaying citizens should be allowed to vote for President. The ones who actually pay the bills.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. Twenty-six percent named Sandy as an “important” factor, and 15 percent said it was the “most important” factor in their decision.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
