| During his opening monologue tonight, Bill Maher admitted he was not happy with how President Obama did during his first big debate this week. He told his audience that Obama undeniably “sucked” during the debate, and surmised that the million dollars he gave to the campaign was probably spent on weed. Maher surmised that because Wednesday was Obama’s anniversary, “he apparently had the sex first and was completely spent” for the debate. He contrasted Romney looking “charged up” with Obama looking like Michael Jackson on diprivan. Maher admitted that Obama “sucked” during the debate, and made a joke

I didn't like it when he talked that crap about W., and frankly I find it distasteful to do it about ANY sitting American President. Even the ones we accidentally elect.

Well, if Obama did spend the million on weed, it was better spent than his campaign would have done with it.

"My million"? What's up Bill? Have you gone off the farm? Now you surely know that you did not make that million. Somebody helped you do that.

#1, that hit me the same way. I loathe Obama, but talking about his bedroom issues on his anniversary in a public forum is distasteful. To say he stank is commentary. To throw in all of the personal stuff is disrespectful to the office.

Here's the thing, all these Hollyweird weasels know a bad camera performance when they see one, but they don't know a bad governing performance when they see one. Obama has been stoned, immaculate since before the beginning, he's just that bad everyday.

Maher made his millions talking that way so I wouldn't expect anything different. Nice to see him having a little buyer's remorse for his $1M purchase, but I know he'll just double down on supporting the preezy from here on.

As distasteful as it may sound to some, it is legitimate to discuss substance usage by the President. It has been obvious in the past, when he has had terrible speeches/performances, that there is some chemical reason. Whether it is prescription or recreational, he is using. How appropriate that the left is starting this discussion!

JFK suffered from chronic back pain. So he was usually well medicated with opiates, and also took ampetamines. That combination, along with cortisone for the addison's disease, made him look and sound healthy. Barack appears to be under the influence of something - looks like the occasional student in my class who overmedicated that day. If other professors are posting, let's see if you agree. Barack appears to be the classic burnout. Seriously.

An editorial at Investors.com Monday noted that, having succeeded twice at electing a candidate with a radical socialist background, Barack Obama’s political advisors have now moved from a goal of merely controlling the “narrative,” to one of control of the actual “news.” The “seizure of AP phone records and surveillance of Fox employees,” says the editorial, demonstrates the White House’s “real aim.” The editorial observes that Obama’s political advisors have reveled in their ability to work the media. They took an otherwise inferior candidate, who is not representative of most Americans in

Statism: Pope Francis seemed to have an economic blind spot, to say the least, when he urged more "state control" to cut global poverty Thursday. On the contrary — the biggest poverty-killer in history is free enterprise. Before we go further, let us say that we know that the pope does seem to have the best intentions and his devotion to the poor is indisputable. But it appears he has been infected by the local economic pathologies of his homeland, Argentina, and its liberation theology among the Jesuits, at least when he warned ambassadors about "the tyranny of money"

Democracy: The IRS targeting of Tea Party groups is mind-boggling not only for its abuse of government power. It´s also disturbing for what it intended to do: destroy civil society, opening a door for tyranny. The formation in 2009 of hundreds of Tea Party groups at the rallying cry of CNBC news editor Rick Santelli, from places as diverse as Lowell, Mass., Pleasanton, Calif., Asheville, N.C., Yuma, Ariz., and Lincoln, Neb., among hundreds of others, was a spontaneous reaction by ordinary American citizens to an overspending, oversized government whose overreach called into question its constitutionality.

Many observers have pondered if the United States is following the same troubled path as Argentina. In the 1940s, Argentina’s Juan Domingo Perón used government agencies for political gain and created a popular form of fascism called Perónism. In the United States, the recent revelation of the Internal Revenue Service targeting political enemies is a bad omen. Are we on an Argentinean course? The road to decay in my native country, Argentina, began with the implementation of one of the most powerful collectivist doctrines of the 20th century: fascism.

CARACAS, Venezuela — First milk, butter, coffee and cornmeal ran short. Now Venezuela is running out of the most basic of necessities — toilet paper. Blaming political opponents for the shortfall, as it does for other shortages, the embattled socialist government says it will import 50 million rolls to boost supplies. That was little comfort to consumers struggling to find toilet paper on Wednesday. "This is the last straw," said Manuel Fagundes, a shopper hunting for tissue in downtown Caracas. "I´m 71 years old and this is the first time I´ve seen this." One supermarket visited by The Associated Press

Commerce: Big Labor worked hard to halt the U.S.-Colombia free trade agreement, claiming it threatened our economy and our workers. But a year since its passage, the pact has surpassed all expectations. Where´s the mea culpa? If there was ever a reason to declare Big Labor´s credibility at zero on matters economic, the best example would be in its long, pathetic tocsins over free trade with Colombia. Today, exactly a year since the pact went into effect, U.S. exports to Colombia have risen 13% while Colombia´s to the U.S. are up 3.4%

CARACAS, Venezuela Venezuela´s biggest food company on Monday hit back at President Nicolas Maduro´s claims that it´s to blame for the country´s persistent food shortages. The chief executive of Empresas Polar, Lorenzo Mendoza, rejected accusations by the president that the company has reduced production and is hoarding products to create scarcity. "The accusations that we are producing less than last year are false," Mendoza told reporters. "I presume that President Nicolas Maduro is not well informed about the situation and about what´s happening."

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? U.S. Sen. John McCain bucked the party line coming from many of his fellow conservatives this morning, saying suggestions that compare the trio of scandals gripping the White House to Watergate are “overreaching.” “I think it’s overreaching. We need a full and complete investigation and then we will decide the dimensions of it,” said McCain while campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Gabriel Gomez in Dorchester. “It is terrible but we have to have a full investigation before we leap to conclusions.” The maverick’s caution is a sharp contrast to the response of many Republicans
