National Geographic denies political

National Geographic Channel President Howard Owens denied Thursday that the network’s decision to air a pro-Obama video just two days before the November election was motivated in any way by political considerations. “Harvey obviously doesn’t schedule our network,” Owens said, referring to The Weinstein Co. Co-chairman Harvey Weinstein, whose company is producing “Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden,” a thriller based on President Barack Obama’s decision to kill al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden. “[We're] not political. We are opportunistic, from a programming perspective.” Instead, Owens said National Geographic wanted to release

This could have worldwide impact, just like "The Innocense of Muslims" with riots and embassy bombings breaking out and reminding us...again..that Obama's foreign policy is a shambles.

No, I don't this will help Obama in the least.

The real shame is that all of those early-voting Dems have no chance to recall their vote.

The liberal flying monkeys rail at the Daily Caller, further publicized by FNC, for releasing the full video of the Choomganster-in-Chief's 2007 race baiting rant, calling it "unfair" and "politically motivated" on the eve of the first debate. Meanwhile, NG releasing the details of the Osama raid is ho-hum news, nothing to see here. I agree with other Ldotters: the MuzzBro maddogs are just waiting for this to use as another excuse for an outbreak of beheadings, raids and general violence. Oh, well....

Meanwhile, I'm sure the GOP in the House and Senate will have more and more news about Libya and our dead Ambassador.

The pictures are starting to come out and every self respecting Dem should be horrified.

I believe in the first amendment and anyone can produce any movie they want and I can choose not to watch it. But I will not attack anyone or destroy property because I disagree with you. Do I believe NatGeo in a word no. Will some nut job in the middle east use this as an excuse for bad behavior probably.

Actually, it's a bit sad to me. In the past ten years I've noticed the rather harsh left attitude of four magazines I used to read. Nat'l Geo, Sci Amer, Science, and The Smithsonian. Maybe it was always there, but I think they've come out of the woodwork lately. Now I'm down to Mental Floss. Yeah, it's left, too, but only because they think they're intellectual. To me, they're fun!

Obama has already been mocked by the rank and file in Egypt and Kuwait for bragging about killing Osama. Things like Obama, we're all Osamas, and Obama there are billions of Osamas, were chanted around the time of our ambassador's murder. If anything, Obama bragging about killing bin Laden made things much worse. As will showing this movie.

Everyone knows that Harvey Weinstain and Obie are (for now, anyway) best buds. Weinstein had a big fundraiser for Obie in his Connecticut home. (I'll bet the disingenuous Howard Owens was even there.)

Weinstein is opportunistic. Owens knows him well enough to refer to him as "Harvey". They are probably best buds, too.

So we have Obama->Weinstein->Howard. Opportunists, all.

Using the Government's own blathering, this film will cause massive Mid-East protests. No
patriotic organization would ever run it. Are they going to be held accountable for the potential violence ? and this is a real film, not some concocted reel on u-tube that the Muslims supposedly realized existed two months after it was posted. This anti-Muslim film is being advertised. Hopefully, the violence will start BEFORE the release date, based on pirated copies or just advertisements, and it will DOOM Obama's re-election chances. That is the only good thing that can come of it. There are some really sick people in this Country.

Seems to me releasing a 90 minute film might be worth 7 or 8 Ambassador deaths in the Middle East....

A gospel song saved a 10-year-old Atlanta boy from his kidnapper. Willie Myrick said he was in his front yard and bent down to pick up money when somebody grabbed him and threw him in a car. “He told me he didn’t want to hear a word from me,” Myrick said. That’s when Myrick began to sing a gospel song called “Every Praise.” The kidnapper started cursing and repeatedly told Myrick to shut up, but he wouldn’t. He sang the song for about three hours until the kidnapper let him out of the car. The little boy ran to a

Though dinosaur-killing impacts are rare, large asteroids routinely hit the Earth. In the visualization above, you can see the location of 26 space rocks that slammed into our planet between 2000 and 2013, each releasing energy equivalent to that of some of our most powerful nuclear weapons. The video comes from the B612 Foundation, an organization that wants to build and launch a telescope that would spot civilization-ending asteroids to give humans a heads up in trying to deflect them. Rancher Cliven Bundy’s standoff with the Bureau of Land Management has prompted a national debate over whether the elderly Nevada cattleman is a patriotic freedom fighter or a lawless renegade. Mr. Bundy owes more than $1 million in back grazing fees, but he contends that the federal government’s rules are increasingly rigged against Westerners who have long made their living off the public lands. The debate stood in sharp relief this week as conservative commentator Pat Buchanan criticized the BLM for overreacting to an “unpaid bill” while a liberal activist announced that he’s planning to hold a 30-day, rules-free “Bundyfest”

A camp on the Libyan coastline meant to train terror-hunters has instead become a haven for terrorists and al Qaeda. A key jihadist leader and longtime member of al Qaeda has taken control of a secretive training facility set up by U.S. special operations forces on the Libyan coastline to help hunt down Islamic militants, according to local media reports, Jihadist web forums, and U.S. officials. A joke is making the rounds among Vladimir Putin’s opponents in Moscow: His two main accomplishments as Russia´s president are Yuri Gagarin’s trip to space and Russia’s victory in World War II. This biting bit of sarcasm, which takes a swing at Pupin´s populist rhetoric, actually gets at something much deeper. It reflects Putin’s vision of the country’s development as well as the style in which he communicates with his citizens and the international community. If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.
