After National Geographic jumped into the tank for global warming, it's descent into political gamesmanship accelerated rapidly. That's why I terminated my 30+ year subscription.

The liberal flying monkeys rail at the Daily Caller, further publicized by FNC, for releasing the full video of the Choomganster-in-Chief's 2007 race baiting rant, calling it "unfair" and "politically motivated" on the eve of the first debate. Meanwhile, NG releasing the details of the Osama raid is ho-hum news, nothing to see here. I agree with other Ldotters: the MuzzBro maddogs are just waiting for this to use as another excuse for an outbreak of beheadings, raids and general violence. Oh, well....

I ended my subscription to NG years ago because of its support for the Gore Gobal Warming fraud. Here is reason not to reconsider that decision.

Same here, #9. My husband and I dropped it when it ceased to be 'my father's National Geographic'. Growing up, we always had it--my dad had a collection of them going back 35 years. He gave us a subscription for years after we were married. Sad really.

I gave up on National Geographic a couple of years ago. It's just a shameless promotion of global warming propaganda.

I can't cancel what I don't have, dropped NG years ago. You couldn't get through an article about the annual pickle festival in Iowa without a paragraph or two on Global Warming or the dangers or urban sprawl.

They're not being political when they tout global warming either, just ask them.

So if a poorly produced "movie" clip on youtube sets the muslim world on fire. What do they think a slick hollywood movie about killing ubl will do? I believe in the first amendment and anyone can produce any movie they want and I can choose not to watch it. But I will not attack anyone or destroy property because I disagree with you. Do I believe NatGeo in a word no. Will some nut job in the middle east use this as an excuse for bad behavior probably.

Actually, it's a bit sad to me. In the past ten years I've noticed the rather harsh left attitude of four magazines I used to read. Nat'l Geo, Sci Amer, Science, and The Smithsonian. Maybe it was always there, but I think they've come out of the woodwork lately. Now I'm down to Mental Floss. Yeah, it's left, too, but only because they think they're intellectual. To me, they're fun!

I grew up loving both National Geographic and Readers Digest,I have dropped both from my life.

Traditionally NG has shown us the many wonders of the earth that occur naturally and I guess it was to be expected they would go down the global warming road. But what does a military mission to kill a terrorist have to do with any of the that?

If you read National Geographic Magazine you will see that they are nothing more than lap dogs for Obama's policies.That's why I canceled my subscription a few years ago.

How many homes even have Nat geo channel in their cable package? As many as have NFL channel? My basic cable package has neither. But I get Mike Rowe's programs on Hist/Disc!

Obama has already been mocked by the rank and file in Egypt and Kuwait for bragging about killing Osama. Things like Obama, we're all Osamas, and Obama there are billions of Osamas, were chanted around the time of our ambassador's murder. If anything, Obama bragging about killing bin Laden made things much worse. As will showing this movie.

Everyone write NG and your cable subscriber and complain. Suggest they offer 2016 movie also.

I have often thought National Geographic had no right to make its fortune selling us pictures of our Earth... of course with their own spin on what the pictures might mean.

Owens might have been more convincing if he hadn't repeatedly referred to "Harvey". (Weinstein, the producer of the film.) They are obviously friends. Makes his whole protest sound lame. Mendacious?

Everyone knows that Harvey Weinstain and Obie are (for now, anyway) best buds. Weinstein had a big fundraiser for Obie in his Connecticut home. (I'll bet the disingenuous Howard Owens was even there.)

Weinstein is opportunistic. Owens knows him well enough to refer to him as "Harvey". They are probably best buds, too.

I cancelled my NG subscription because, as has been said here, their "Global Warming" propaganda, AND their adherence to evolution theory.

Using the Government's own blathering, this film will cause massive Mid-East protests. No
patriotic organization would ever run it. Are they going to be held accountable for the potential violence ? and this is a real film, not some concocted reel on u-tube that the Muslims supposedly realized existed two months after it was posted. This anti-Muslim film is being advertised. Hopefully, the violence will start BEFORE the release date, based on pirated copies or just advertisements, and it will DOOM Obama's re-election chances. That is the only good thing that can come of it. There are some really sick people in this Country.

Aren`t they afraid of raising the ire of the muslim world by releasing this film? After all, we were told a 13 minute video on YouTube was responsible for the death of Ambassador Steven in Benghazi. Seems to me releasing a 90 minute film might be worth 7 or 8 Ambassador deaths in the Middle East....
