Why was President Obama
so bad?

Washington Post, by Chris Cillizza

The Barack Obama who stood on the debate stage in Denver Wednesday night was virtually unrecognizable to the person who swept to victory in 2008 or even the man who had built a narrow-but-clear edge in the 2012 race. In the wake of the debate, Democrats conceded that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney had dominated the proceedings and quickly moved on to a deeper — and harder to answer — question: What the hell was wrong with the president? Theories abound — up to an including that Obama, who had done debate prep in Las Vegas, struggled to

I would say that I want my 2008 Obama vote back but they'd probably want me to return the $50.

FTA: "Obama is, without question, the most gifted speaker in politics right now." Why do people keep rolling out that stale, stinky piece of trash? Says who, Chris? You and your Dem-loving buddies? Seriously? Half the speakers at the Republican National Convention were clearly better at the podium, and they didn't feel the need to pander with some urban jive-talkin' either. Sheesh, can't we get past this lie?

Rhetorical question, right? He was so bad because he is a POS. He is the Manchurian Candidate, a fake person on the end of a lot of strings. Hard to make him more than that without all the props, teleprompters, paid mobs, etc.

What we witnessed was a performance from the capstone product of half a century of affirmative action. And the results were not reassuring.

Since when is a great speaker one who is chained to his teleprompter? George C Scott was fantastic in "Patton", that doesn't mean he was actually a great General.

The truth is slowly starting to dawn on some but by no means all Obama fans. It is strikingly simple - but for them it is terrible as an army with banners: Obama is really nothing but a gifted BS artist. They have been deceived. He is a mixture of a Toastmaster and a run of the mill rabble rouser who SOUNDS like he knows what he is talking about(to some people anyway) - but it turns out he is nothing but hot air when challenged. His world view and politics, like those of most Leftists, are simply sophomoric, the attitudes and ideals of a late adolescent without significant experience of life. Like other Leftists, he dwells in a fantasy world that he considers infinitely superior to the real world of flesh and blood with all of its limitations and contradictions. The media made him president and propped him up and shielded him as long as they could. They could not save him last night. They cannot save him now, though they will certainly try. Humpty Dumpy fell off a wall, and all the King's men cannot put him together again.

After the debate, the Øtard went running into the arms of Reggie Love who consoled him until the wee hours. Mooch went home and ate her half-side of Waygu cow midnight snack. And Joey Biden kept wondering when someone would let him out of the shed.

This is a B.S. article and they know it. O'Bozo got full three minutes to spew his garbage than Mitt. That he could not capitalize on that is not Lehrer's fault. Zippy met more than his match for the first time and came apart like a cheap sweater. No navel gazing is necessary.

Obama just goes out and throws lies about his opponent out there. Last night, he was not allowed to get away with it.
Today he was back on the trail of lies.
Obama stated that Romney said "we don't need more teachers". 60 million people watched the debate, can anyone recall Romney saying that? He used the same old tired 5 trillion in tax cuts for the rich.
See what I mean? Didn't Obama pay attention last night..and the dumb masses eat this crap up.

In his four-years as POTUS, BHO has discovered that the presidency requires more than voting "present." His narcissism carried him only so far, even with his chorus of the main stream media. Standing alone on a stage, facing a man of accomplishment in both academics and business, he allowed the nation to see just how shallow are his ideas, his intelligence and his oratory. He allowed the nation to see the vacuum of his intellect and the sham of his presidency.

Standing alone on that stage, facing Mitt Romney, BHO needed only his cell-phone ~ to call 911!

In 90-minutes, BHO made Clint Eastwood's day!

And mine!!!

What people witnessed was the destruction of an illusion. Obama was never a great orator, just a good reader. This was the first occasion where he was matched against a competent debater and he failed miserably. In the "town hall" setting that everybody is waiting for, Obama will do just as badly. He is not a president and it showed. It would not have mattered if he had spent more time practicing with the other liar (JF'N Kerry) instead of playing golf for three days. He just doesn't have it.

CNN and CBS will be gunning for Romney in the next two debates. Expect those gotcha questions like "would you support taking birth control from college women?" from the start. The networks are no doubt meeting in secret to frame a strategy.

Reply 30 - Posted by: SaguaroJack, 10/4/2012 8:36:30 PM     (No. 8910634)

Why was he so bad? Several simple (and pretty obvious) reasons:

1. Arrogance. Thinking it was in the bag, Obama didn't bother to prepare.

2. Laziness. Obama didn't really want to prepare and laziness reinforced arrogance.

3. Not smart. Obama has perfectly average intelligence, maybe in the 115-125 IQ range.

4. Doesn't read. Thinking he knows it all already, Obama doesn't update his mental maps or add to his store of knowledge.

It's the narcissism. They have huge feelings of entitlemwnt (like they are just going to be handed the debate-like he was they presidency) and they suffer from extremely limited self-definition. (As in, he thinks he's the greatest, no matter what the truth is....)

Adds up to real loser against someone who has a high level of competency.

Speaking of which...exactly what does this say about John McCain???

The simple answer is that Obama isn't a real leader but an actor that plays the role of presidend hired by Soros-types on the sidelines to bring about the radical change on America that these shadowy figures want but cannot accomplish openly.

Only difference is a real actor has the insight that he is only mimicking the real thing, whereas Obama himself thinks he is a great leader. If pride goes before a fall, Obama is going to find himself falling.. and falling... in a seemlessly bottomless abyss.

“No, I’m not a President but I slept in a White House last night.”

Along with being an arrogant empty suit, I believe he is suffering from depression and really doesn’t want four more years of being knocked around by a GOP House along with a new GOP Senate.

I also think their internal poll numbers show that they have no chance of winning without an October-Surprise or a major FUBAR by Romney and to depend on either is a crap shoot.

His and the Wookie’s expressions on stage last night show they are both down and dejected.

It’s one thing to rabble-rouse and race-bait and tell lies in front of a bunch of adoring losers but something totally different to act Presidential in front of 65+ million Americans where 35 million really don’t like you.

Kafir

PS: Forever to be known as ‘The epitome of the Peter Principle’.

Whatever else happens as a result of the multiple controversies that have engulfed the administration, one thing is clear: President Obama has failed to meet one of the most important goals he set out when he was first elected, which was to demonstrate that activist government could also be smart government. Richmond, Va.—Virginia´s activist conservative attorney general has won the Republican Party´s gubernatorial nomination by acclamation. At the GOP´s statewide convention, thousands of conservatives and tea party followers who dominated the Richmond Coliseum on Saturday roared their unanimous support for Ken Cuccinelli. He was unopposed for the nomination and is generally beloved by the tea party for his aggressive challenges to federal mandates. Cuccinelli is an abortion foe who was the first state attorney general to challenge President Barack Obama´s health care reforms in 2010. The House voted to repeal ObamaCare on Thursday for the third time since Republicans took over the chamber in 2011. Only two Democrats sided with Republicans in the party-line 229-195 vote — Jim Matheson (Utah) and Mike McIntyre (N.C.). All Republicans voted in favor of repeal. This is the 37th time the House GOP has voted to repeal or defund at least part of the bill, but this latest bill will also not become law given Democrats´ control of the Senate. Still, many House Republicans had clamored for the bill from Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) to be considered,

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,
