| Aboard President Obama’s plane, adviser David Plouffe argued that Mitt Romney’s victory in Wednesday’s debate was in part the product of a media desire for a certain narrative. “You guys may disagree with me,” he told the media he was critiquing, but “people are itching to write the Romney comeback story.” Plouffe said it would only be a true comeback if Romney’s poll numbers in key battlegrounds improve. “We thought he did a very theatrically aggressive performance,” he said.

You know, you really have to start wondering at some point if Obama's inner circle have ever told the truth about anything in their lives. I'm guessing such habitual lying bleeds over into their family and personal lives as well... these people's lives must be a mess.

Need some more of that Affirmative Action policy.
Government must create some more stepping stones for the minorities who still can't make it on their own, and likewise create some stumbling blocks to penalize the white guy.

The press, as everyone knows, wants Obama re-elected. What happened last night, however, was simply beyond the reach of the most artful spin. There was no getting around what everyone could see and hear for themselves. Obama's performance was not spin-able at the time. We are just beginning to enter the spin zone 24 hours later. It will be interesting to see how Obama apologists try to work their way out of this one. We can count on them to try their best. Obama, meanwhile, is taking the direct approach: he is carrying on the debate all by himself. Romney was just an annoying distraction anyway.

My favorite so far is the ''high altitude'' excuse. Never could have thought that one up in a million years. However, I have a deep suspicion that the bare arms being covered was what really put Obama off his game.

Last night America got to see Mitt Romney unfiltered through the lens of a media that wants Obama to sail through to re-eletion. When they haven't been telling us how bad Romney is in their 'news' stories, they simply refuse to cover him. Last night there was no way to do those two things.

A California Tea Party group has become the first to sue the Internal Revenue Service over the targeting of conservative groups. The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots alleges that the IRS violated the constitutional rights of the group by applying "intensive and intrusive scrutiny" when they applied for tax-exempt status. “NorCal and its members suffered years of delay and expense while awaiting the exemption and spending valuable time and money answering the IRS´ questions.

One of many good things you can say about President Obama is that he is loyal to his friends. But sometimes, he is loyal to a fault, as is the case with Attorney General Eric Holder. Presidential buddy or not, it’s time for Holder to go. You expect a Democratic attorney general to make Republicans unhappy — which Holder has, on several fronts. He was even held in contempt of Congress by House Republicans over the “Fast and Furious” gun-walking scandal.

DETROIT — Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has told a Detroit church audience that African Americans should pool their money and buy up property as a way to save the city.(snip) The leader of the Chicago-based movement says Christian ministers shouldn´t compromise in their opposition to gay marriage. He says there should be unity between Christians and Muslims because both faiths revere Jesus. Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), the Senate Finance Committee Chairman, predicted in an interview airing Sunday that the scandal surrounding the Internal Revenue Service selectively targeting conservative political groups will grow. “I have a hunch that a lot more is going to come out, frankly,” Baucus told Bloomberg News. “It’s broader than the current focus.” Steven Miller, the acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service who was ousted earlier this week, is testifying Friday before the House Ways and Means committee in what is expected to be the first of many congressional grillings over the scandal.

President Barack Obama says he´s ready for more questions at a news conference Thursday about revelations that the IRS singled out conservative groups for extra scrutiny. Obama has scheduled a joint news conference for noon with visiting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. You can watch it LIVE in the video player above when it begins. The president announced the question-and-answer session Wednesday as he delivered a brief statement about how his administration is handling the IRS situation. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., charged Republicans with “exploiting” the questions surrounding the Benghazi talking points, the AP phone records seizure, and the IRS scandal in order to attack President Obama because “they fear” his agenda and eloquence. “This president — they make so much of these issues because this president is such a great president,” Pelosi told reporters during her weekly press briefing. “They will use talking points on Benghazi, they will use the IRS, they will use AP, as, I think, subterfuges — evasions — of what the American people want us to do.”

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
