The morning after the first presidential debate, President Barack Obama was back on the campaign trail speaking at a rally in the frigid Colorado weather. He opened his speech by going after Republican opponent Mitt Romney, blasting the candidate for not being “the real Mitt Romney” by contradicting his own campaign beliefs while on stage last night. “It couldn’t have been Mitt Romney because the real Mitt Romney has been running around the country for the last year promising $5 trillion in tax cuts in favor of the wealthy,” said the president. “The fellow on stage last night
Comments: Good luck 0bama! Your pathetic weakness cannot be covered. What this article doesn't report is what Ed Henry on Fox reported is that many of those who attended this rally had negative things to say about 0bama and his horrible performance last night. It's going to take a very long time for 0bama to recover from this.
Well, we certainly saw the real Obama last night! He's pathetically helpless without his "binkie", the teleprompter!
LOL about Algore's explanation for Obama's poor performance last night: Romney had an unfair advantage because he had been in Denver several days and was acclimated to the high altitude. Obama, on the other hand, arrived in Denver only a few hours before the debate, and he didn't have time to adjust to the thinner air!
Anyone with two brain cells knows Romney refuted this $5 trillion claim multiple times during the debate. And the audience must be wondering why Obama falls flat when facing his opponent, but feels free to yap about these issues only when no one is nearby to challenge his (false) assertions.
I disagree. We saw the "real" Obama. He is an empty suit who has abandoned his empty chair. Without a teleprompter, he is unable to put two words together that makes any sense! He is just the stand-in for the teleprompter person!
America is waking up from a long nightmare!
Thank You Jesus for hearing our prayers. He is out Entitlement, living according to His way, knowing He is sovereign, not Obama!
...the thrill is gone and it will take more work than the boy won-duh! has in him to get it back...
...Mitt got in his head, won't be easy for 0bama to shake it...
...the talk will be that 0bama will do better in the next...townhall format...(if he shows up)...don't think so...he has shown with his performance, he can take a punch without looking to others to save him...the glares and clenched jaw was so telling...
...what he won't admit, is that the REAL 0bama DID show up...
If you liked the security holes in the basic Healthcare.gov system that has experts warning consumers to stay away from the web portal, you’ll love what the IRS will have when their ObamaCare system goes on line. Politico reports that the Inspector General warned in July the IRS that its tax-credit disbursement system was at risk for fraud, and that the agency hadn’t even completed a fraud-mitigation plan: The Internal Revenue Service has successfully finished testing systems to accurately calculate tax credits under Obamacare but needs to improve its controls to avoid problems with fraud as the agency begins doling
During Politico’s “Women Rule” event this morning, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi joined her daughter Alexandra on stage to discuss her former duties as a full-time mom and eventual road to Congress. Alexandra shared how her mom used to lead carpools, cook and clean all day and even win prizes for her cake baking. Being defined as domestic clearly made the powerful Minority Leader a bit squeamish. “I was a 50s teenager, I wasn’t a 50s housewife.” Despite Pelosi trying to distance herself from her former role, she did in fact do motherly things. Then, she "got a life." The Minority
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive." -- C.S. Lewis ”One of the overriding points of Liberal Fascism is that all of the totalitarian ‘isms’ of the left commit the fallacy of the category error. They all want the state to be something it cannot be. They passionately believe the government can love you, that the state can be your God or your church or your tribe or your parent or your village or all of these things at once. Conservatives occasionally make this mistake, libertarians never do, liberals
President Obama has begun a new 20 day effort to sell the Affordable Care Act. And while his press conference on Tuesday was less defensive and more forward looking than his previous comments, it very much remains to be seen whether this new initiative will help sell the law or assuage very real concerns about its efficacy and viability. Put simply, while the website may be functioning more effectively than it has previously it is by no means clear that the implementation of the law itself will go smoothly. The transfer of information from the site to insurers hasn’t been shown to
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will “cave in” on immigration reform, expressing confidence that a proposal will pass the House sometime next year. Reid on Tuesday said Republicans would sign on to a deal if they ever want to see a GOP president again. “If the Republicans ever want to elect a Republican president again, they’re going to have to get right with the Hispanic and Asian community who, by more than 70 percent, voted for Obama last time,” Reid told the Las Vegas Sun. Reid argued many GOP House members do not care
President Barack Obama has always had a broad base of support among America’s youngest voters. In 2012, 60 percent of voters aged 18-29 took to the polls to reelect the president. According to a Harvard University’s Institute of Politics poll released on Wednesday, however, many young voters are regretting the votes they cast just over one year ago. 11 percent more young adults, aged 18-29, disapprove of the president’s performance in office than they did last year. Only 41 percent of millennials expressed approval with Obama’s job performance. Of the 55 percent of young voters who admitted to casting their ballot
President Barack Obama´s administration has found a short-term fix to pay insurance companies for plans selected on HealthCare.gov, the not-yet-complete government website used to shop for insurance required under Obama´s healthcare program. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has not yet finished building the part of the website that would transfer billions of dollars in subsidies for plan premiums and cost-sharing payments to insurance companies. (Snip) Julie Bataille, a spokeswoman for CMS, said the government will make the payments to insurers for premium tax credits and cost sharing on time.
Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) said on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” Wednesday that when Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, “he didn’t charge food stamps.” “When Jesus had those five loaves and two fishes, he didn´t charge food stamps. He didn´t ask anybody how much money they had. He fed them because they were hungry, and that´s really where we ought to be,” McDermott said in response to Republican critics of the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). In September, the House approved a plan by Republicans to cut $39 billion in food stamps over the next
The nation’s view of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, colored by the horrific Benghazi assassination of the U.S. ambassador to Libya on her watch, has suddenly turned upside down, with more now holding an unfavorable opinion of the likely 2016 presidential candidate. A new YouGov/Economist poll found Clinton, whose approval ratings have typically been sky high, with an unfavorable rating of 48 percent, more than the 46 percent who have a favorable opinion of her. The YouGov pollsters said that the change in American attitudes toward Clinton "suggests that negative press surrounding the tragic
President Obama will cast growing income inequality and a decline in economic mobility as a “fundamental threat to the American dream” during a speech Wednesday in Washington. The speech will serve as an early preview for next year’s State of the Union address, according to a White House official, who said Obama would focus much of his energy over the next three years on the issue. “The decisions we make over the next few years will determine whether or not our children will grow up in an America where, if you work hard, you can get ahead,” the official said.
Bill Clinton, the cliché goes, was the first black president, no matter his skin color. That being the case, Barack Obama is not the first black president, or the first African-American president, if you prefer, but the first hippie president. Clinton’s southern background and lifestyle were indeed more typically black, just as Obama’s was more typically hippie. And we’re not just talking about the “Choom gang” here, scarfing “Maui Wowie” on the sands of Oahu. We’re talking about all of it, the whole multi-culti-missing-white-mother-vanished-Kenyan-father-anti-imperialist-America-is-always-the-enemy-and-don’t-you-forget-it-nine-yards. And like most hippie culture as I knew and experienced it, it wasn’t about “peace and love.” Not
During a presentation at the White House in which President Barack Obama touted the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, the president declared that his signature health care reform law was not going to be repealed. This assertion led his administration members, his staff, and audience members to rise from their seats and give the president a standing ovation. Obama said that ACA opponents’ alternative to the health care reform law is to champion repeal and going back to the health care delivery system status quo ante. He specifically cited Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who he said was asked directly for
A woman has revealed how difficult it is to eat healthily and stay full when living off an average food stamp budget. Melinda Moulton, from Huntington, Vermont, was one of 200 people to take part in the 3Squares Challenge, which saw her living for a week on just $36 worth of food, or around $1.71 a meal. Opting to try and eat as healthily as possible, Ms Moulton resorted to cheap foods like yogurt for breakfast, two handfuls of peanuts for lunch and lentil stew for dinner, all of which left her unsatisfied.´I don´t know how people do it,´ said
CNN host wondered out loud on his show this evening whether the physically unfit Chris Christie could follow the "perfect physical specimen" Barack Obama into the White House: "After the perfect Barack Obama, who´s a perfect physical specimen to many people´s eyes, does it matter?" Morgan asked his guest. "Or is actually somebody very different, someone who´s much more of a regular kind of guy who likes cheeseburgers and beer, but appears to be a straight talker, somebody perhaps more of a straight talker than it appears Barack Obama turned out to be?"
