| A Philadelphia high schooler says she was humiliated after her teacher told her to lose her Gov. Mitt Romney T-shirt comparing it to “wearing a KKK shirt.” Samantha Pawlucy, a 16-year-old sophomore at Charles Carroll High School in the Port Richmond section of the city, says she wore a pink Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan T-shirt last Friday during the school's dress down day. No one made an issue of Samantha’s political T-shirt until she got to geometry class. "The teacher told me to get out of the classroom, I said no," Samantha said.

Good job on the parents. They pushed back, and hard. The school district folded. Good!

One of Obama's math & science teachers, no doubt. Teachers need to be all checked for bias and if they push politics in the classroom, they should be fired on the spot.

"The teacher apologized to Samantha and her parents saying that the statement was meant as a joke."
Liberals need to quit trying to tell jokes because they're really, really bad at it. And you have to be an idiot to think it was a joke.

I suspect outside of schools in the ghetto most students are smarter than their government school teachers. People who major in Education are mostly inferior students who cannot hack Arts and Sciences, Engineering, or Business schools.

Seems MSM is underreporting again.
From the Philadelphia Inquirer: http://articles.philly.com/2012-10-03/news/34240191_1_t-shirt-teacher-student
"her geometry teacher publicly humiliated her by asking why she was wearing a Romney/Ryan T-shirt and going into the hallway to urge other teachers and students to mock her."
"The teacher then allegedly called a non-teaching assistant into the room who tried to write on the t-shirt with a marker."

The teacher should lose her job - this is a hanging offense, for a teacher to bully a child. The settlement should pay for the child's college.

An example of why many Philadelphians do NOT say they are/or vote R.
No political bumper stickers on cars, home windows, or wearing political buttons on street or buses ......... Rs of course.
We get tired of broken windows, keyed cars, smashed pots and shrubbery, threats on the street, bus drivers refusing to pick us up, or taxi drivers telling us to 'get out'.
It's also the reason the state legislature had to pass law permitting 'city-wide poll watchers' as people refused to work as R watchers at some local polling places' due to threats ...... ie. to their 92 year old mothers, etc.
PS it's still hard to get people to be R election table workers, who have to be from a given division, particularly in some neighborhoods.
We really did need that Voter ID.

Jim Beam, Jose Cuervo, and Johnny Walker are in the pokey. State investigators confiscated 1,000 open bottles from 29 bars and restaurants across the state to see whether the contents were premium brands or substituted cheap booze - or worse - and being sold as the good stuff. On Thursday, state officials released new details of a yearlong investigation, "Operation Swill," that found rubbing alcohol, dirty water, and food coloring in a few cocktails sold as premium drinks. "This alleged scheme is a dishonest ruse to increase profits, and it is a slap in the face to the consumer,"

From the Daily Mail: ”Men who are physically strong are more likely to take a right wing political stance, while weaker men are inclined to support the welfare state, according to a new study.” Researchers in Demark and California “collected data on bicep size, socio-economic status, and support for redistribution from hundreds of people in the United States, Argentina, and Denmark” and found that people with higher upper body strength are likelier to take a small-government approach, even controlling for wealth. The hypothesis is that physically stronger men were more assertive about their

AND SO, what Jack McMahon audaciously called a racist prosecution, wherein a black man was being called to account for ending the lives of countless nameless black babies, has ended in a righteous verdict: guilty, guilty, and again, guilty. Three lives vindicated with three words, uttered after months of testimony and evidence that makes you want to turn your face away. But we looked, and we understood that here was madness and evil, not racism. Kermit Gosnell could now face the death penalty, something that has far-reaching repercussions

WASHINGTON -- One of the two women who videotaped allegations that New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez paid her for sex has said in an affidavit that she was paid to make the story up, according to a report Monday in the Washington Post. The woman also said she has never met nor seen the Democratic senator, the Post reported, citing court documents and two people briefed on her claim. Instead, in an affidavit she said she and a colleague were paid by a lawyer to make up the claims and read from a script, according to the Post.

Dying is effortless. That became clear to me as I lay on a gurney in an emergency department bay at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. It was 10 p.m., almost five hours since my primary-care physician Michael Cirigliano (better known as Dr. Mike from Fox29) diagnosed me as septic, bundled me into his car, and rushed me to the hospital. After several hours of intravenous antibiotics and four liters of fluid, my blood pressure was crashing, a hallmark of sepsis, a potentially fatal condition caused by an exaggerated immune response to injury or infection.

Given the beating Apple has taken lately—with many questioning its future—it´s important to understand how much television means to Apple. The company´s TV plans are much bigger than just selling iTV sets. [snip] Apple is evolving into an ecosystem, a network that connects to and controls everything from your home to your car to your office. This has the potential to be as impactful as the iPhone and iPad. Today I use iOS apps to control my stereo system (the Sonos) and central air (the Nest).

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
