Here's the RNC's New
Attack Ad Targeting
Obama's Debate "Smirk"

Well, that didn't take long. About 12 hours after last night's debate wrapped up the RNC went live with an online video attacking what it's calling President Obama's debate "smirk." Here was the blast that went out to reporters (via the Washington Examiner): "Good morning, we're out with a new video 'Smirk' highlighting the president's debate performance where he was visibly uncomfortable as he struggled to give Americans answers on how he'll turn our country around with another four years. As Morning Joe said this morning—it appeared as if Obama thought debating was beneath him."

Comments:
Attack Ad ?
There's not s single voice in the ad other than Mitt taking Barry to the woodshed last night juxtaposed to shots of 0bama SEETHING with hate and trying to cover it with his smirk.
The ad is straightforward, effective & devestating.

I'm honestly not sure anymore if what we see as condescension is not some variant of desperation mingled with terror. Remember: deep down, the man knows he is a fraud.

It looked more like Obambi was concentrating hard to maintain his bowel and bladder control.

During that beat down by Gov. Romney, Obama was making a list of his staff members, czars, and advisors who either get a pink slip or have to resign to spend more time with their family. Smirk this!

That wasn't an attack ad, it was the cold simple truth. If the Mainstream Media were doing their jobs, you'd hear it on the news instead of a paid commercial.

This ad IS devastating. Obama looks punchdrunk. Romney looks like the heavyweight champ.

#2 and # 3, right on the money! This guy considers the office, the country, and the people of the USA beneath him......I never understood why he did not just resign, after all, it's all below his pay grade.!!!
The Hollywood lounge lizard got his ass handed to him last night! And I am sure behind the scenes he was getting even more from Sasquatch! That smirk was gone the moment he was in the car!

Is this an online ad meant to go viral, or is it an ad that will actually play on television? It is uber-effective.

Barry was hearing his ideology being expertly ripped to shreads by a rich white guy with the whole world watching. 0bama's expression was dripping with hate.

This doesn't begin to pay the smirker back for the pain and suffering he has put the citizens and the nation itself through during his occupation. I feel great that some of the truth of his exploits were exposed to so many millions last night. It is a good start, but I want much more on the national stage, for all to see.

This ad is effective not just because of Barry's dressed down school boy look, but because Romney is on fire. Go Mitt.

The Emperor is unmasked as having no clothes. Obama's smirk is an attempt to mask his fear.
His mind was likely spinning as to what he should say in response, but there is no defense for his failed Presidency. Obama feared looking like a fool and a wimp, and fears losing.

# 3, Obismal scribblings were: "Tell Val Jar to select colors for Hawaii residence. Tell Val Jar that she needs to co-ord with realtor and closing attorneys, ASAP. Hah, I don't need no stinkin 'qualified mortgage', whatever that is. Have Val Jar arrange Diamond Head CC membership. Tell Val Jar to start BO's quarantine process for move to Oahu. Remind Val Jar to tell Holder to work on blanket pardons. Oh, tell Val Jar to tell Hillary to go real slow on Libya cause I don't wanna answer a whole bunch of questions before I leave. This debate showed the whole world that Barry's got NOTHIN'! He's been a poseur all along and his groupies and the msm (redundant I know) have been too stupid or too complicit to admit it. Hopefully enough people saw it and recognize the truth.

Naming the ad "smirk" was the only thing wrong with it. That makes one focus on the preezy rather than Romney's message. This wasn't Algore's sighs. It was just the face of someone being taken to the woodshed but trying not to look like it.

Barry's smirk conveyed - " I'm a friggin' idiot and now everybody knows it"

While Romney is ticking off all of Obama's supposed "failures," I see Obama barely being able to contain his pride in the destruction he has wrought. I see Obama thinking "Yeah! I did that!" I see a person being scolded and thinking to himself "Yeah! And I'd do it again, too!"

It is also rather frightening, because it could also be taken as the half-smile of a man who is the only one in the room who knows something is about to happen. Maybe he knows he's already lost and he's just looking forward to his retirement in Hawaii. I sure hope that's all it is. Either way, it's spooky for its inappropriateness.

Reply 36 - Posted by: Dixie, 10/4/2012 1:56:31 PM     (No. 8909620)

I actually think Obama wasn't listening to Romney; that he didn't hear a word Romney was saying.

I think he was reading tweets off his iphone (or whatever device he had) and grimacing because they are coming in too slowly to be useful and was rather desperately looking for one he can use, NOW.

Dumb campaign prep idea (vintage Jarrett)...to be quietly, privately coached during the campaign via tweets ... and quite likely against the debate rules.

In recent weeks, scandal after scandal has rocked Barack Obama’s administration. His presidency might be imperiled. Or it might not be.(snip)Doubtless, Obama did not want for any of these scandals to come to light. Now that they’ve arisen, though, they can be exploited to depict himself as a Washington outsider and his Republican nemeses as “the establishment” that has vowed to destroy him. Potentially, this strategy trades off short-term loss for long-term gain. Again, Alinsky is instructive here: “If by losing in a certain action” the organizer “can get more members than by winning

The Obama administration has an enemies list, and John Dodson was on it. The special agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) infuriated his superiors by alerting Congress and everyone else about the government’s gunrunning scheme called Fast and Furious. He had to pay for his act of good citizenship. The Justice Department’s inspector general concluded Monday that a high-ranking political appointee destroyed Mr. Dodson’s credibility and ruined a career. The IRS scandal provides Republicans and conservatives with the opportunity to repeal and replace Obamacare now. The House Republican majority should refuse to fund the expansion of the IRS necessary to manage Obamacare. Without that funding, and hiring thousands of additional agents, the IRS cannot even begin to manage Obamacare. President Obama may throw a fit. He may refuse to sign funding bills to keep the federal government open. No matter. Let him close his government down if he wants. Nobody wants the IRS playing political games with their health care and health records

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The U.S. has identified five men who might be responsible for the attack on the diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, last year, and has enough evidence to justify seizing them by military force as suspected terrorists, officials say. But there isn´t enough proof to try them in a U.S. civilian court as the Obama administration prefers. The men remain at large while the FBI gathers evidence. But the investigation has been slowed by the reduced U.S. intelligence presence in the region since the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks, and by the limited ability to assist by Libya´s post-revolutionary law

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
