Only a spark of magic can
save Mitt Romney now

Telegraph [UK], by Tim Stanley

The TV debates offer a last chance for Barack Obama’s ailing opponent Mitt Romney to change voters’ minds. Tonight, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney will go mano-a-mano in Denver, Colorado, for the first of three nationally televised debates. Millions will tune in to watch the president defend his domestic record and the Republican challenger attack it. For Romney, this is being billed as a “make or break” moment. The national polls are close, but the president has built a nice lead in the swing states such as Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina. Romney desperately needs something big to

Comments:
Imagine--just imagine--if some of the UK's more conservative writers are deliberately penning somewhat negative pieces to lull the Obamanoids into a false sense of security. I think Stanley knows Romney can pull it off because O will be without his tele-blankie and anyone with one iota of sense knows he'll stumble.

Wouldn't that be great?

After all, they need for us to remain strong too.

The spark is the magic negro who is turning this country into a dumpster. Romney needs only the truth and his audio-visual aid in the chair next to him on the debate stage.

This happens when only democrats are polled.

Only the truth can save Mitt.
We sure won't get that from the media.
However, since the media are lying to themselves too, it is unclear that Mitt is even behind.

This little teaser on Drudge has me sick to my stomach.
"CAMPAIGN DRAMA: VIDEO MADE 6 YEARS AGO SURFACES ON EVE OF FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE... DEVELOPING TONIGHT..."
I can only imagine what the Regime Thugs in Chicago have done now, and I fear it will only get worse.

Before you hurl, the Daily Caller has the tape, and Sean Hannity has been talking about it. From what can be gleened, its about Obama and not Romney.

Where was this type of investigation during the 2008 campaign? It takes four years to find the information about hussein and his skulldrugery?

I just checked over at Free Rep***. People think it is either the Rashida Khalidi tape from the LAT or Obama sitting in the pew nodding affirmatively to a firey Rev. Wright "hate whitey" sermon.

Well, this is only one piece by only one writer. Not all Britons are cut from the same cloth. For example I have a cousin who's an official with the BNP.

More psyops from the Left.

We need to be "broken glass" voters again this cycle. There is too much to lose with another four years of Obama and his ilk.

There's no magic required. The illusionists have made zero ahead in the polls.

There is no common sense that the national polls can show a virtual tie and still have a half a dozen point advantage for zippy in the swing states.

This is the dramatic moment a woman appears to remonstrate with a man carrying a knife following a brutal attack in Woolwich. The image shows a man wearing a brown jacket and carrying what appears to be a large knife, speaking to the woman beside a blue car which has significant damage to its front end at the scene where another man died following the attack. The two alleged attackers are thought to have waited around for 20 minutes until Metropolitan Police officers arrived and then tried to attack them--but were swiftly shot by armed policemen, including a woman.

A 91-year-old WWII veteran fighting to prevent his daughter from evicting him from his Ohio home has raised more than $138,000 from online donors to buy back his home, easily surpassing his goal. John Potter says he´s ´amazed´ by the more than 5,000 people who have donated toward his original $125,000 goal while telling his granddaughter, Jaclyn Fraley, ´I never knew people could love an old man so much.´ After Mr Potter´s daughter sent him an eviction notice earlier this year, Ms Fraley organized the desperate fundraiser for him in April while sharing with the public his dire situation.

The return of ´animal spirits’ usually points to better times, but it’s more complicated now. On May 3 1999, Moore was one of several cities left devastated after 74 tornadoes touched down across Oklahoma and Kansas in just 21 hours. Following a path similar to yesterday´s lethal twister, the storms that struck the city 14 years ago to the month left 46 dead and 800 injured. Due to the high number of mobile homes and less robust housing in this part of the US, more than 8,000 homes were destroyed. It caused almost $1.5 billion in property damage making it the fourth costliest in the world. The National Weather Service also recorded wind speeds

Obama calls the devastation that tore through the Oklahoma City suburbs, quote, "one of the most destructive tornados in history," even though he said the extent of the damage is still unknown. Obama spoke Tuesday after an Oval Office briefing on the latest developments from his disaster response team and as Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Craig Fugate was heading to Oklahoma. Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
