Under Obama, Poor, Middle
Class Incomes Fall Sharply

Despite repeated promises that he would build prosperity from the bottom up, President Obama has presided over three years of income losses for the middle class, according to the latest household income data from the Census Bureau. Since 2009, the middle 20% of American households saw their average incomes drop 4%. In 2011 alone, they fell 1.7%. The poorest 20% have fared even worse under Obama, Census data show. Their incomes have dropped more than 7% since 2009...

Romney needs to pound this home at the debates. Candidate Obama says one thing, President Obama does another. Obama has not delivered, provide the numbers. Romney will lead from the front and get the economy moving!

"Who dies first" under socialism. Every time.

Learned helplessness is a very sad and debilitating psychological condition that is always the unintended consequence of centralized government "help".

When the money is gone, so goes the ability to take care of ones self.

Statism is without dignity. It is without morals. And I would submit, is pure evil.

Liberals, the blood is on your hands.

Obama is dumb as a brick when it comes to anything that will help this economy. (I was tempted to end that sentence after the word "brick.")

Oh yea, Obama's FOR the Little Guy, after he puts them into total poverty with meager handouts then steals from the rich and dolls out all the money he steals to his cronies so they can all live large at everyone elses expense.

How's that poverty working out for ya Middle/Poor Americans?

Just 39% Think Federal
Income Tax System Is Fair

As millions of Americans rush to file their federal income tax returns on Tuesday, few will be thinking that the current tax code is the fairest one of all, according to the latest IBD/TIPP survey. Just 39% of Americans say today´s income tax code — which features multiple tax brackets along with myriad deductions and exemptions — is the fairest. As to what sort of tax system would be more fair, the public hasn´t made up its mind. Thirty-six percent say a flat tax is the fairest way to collect income taxes, while 19% would prefer a national sales tax. However, the survey

Can The ObamaCare Enrollment
Numbers Be Believed?
Investor´s Business Daily, by John Merline    Original Article

When the Obama administration announced on April 1 that an estimated 7.1 million had signed up for ObamaCare by the end of March, it seemed a nearly impossible achievement. In every month before, sign-ups lagged behind the administration´s original forecast by wide margins and had fallen 1.4 million behind by the end of February. In mid-March, the AP said that it would take "close to a miracle" just to reach 6 million. And a Rand survey out this week puts enrollment by early March at less than 4 million. To reach 7.1 million, sign-ups had to rocket up by 67% in just one

Media Hype ´Good´ ObamaCare

Bias: The media are cheering a survey that, they say, shows ObamaCare is working miracles. It shows nothing of the kind. Meanwhile, they´re ignoring another report that finds ObamaCare-induced premium spikes. ´Millions More People Are Getting Health Insurance Because Of ObamaCare," screams a headline on the left-wing Huffington Post. Countless other major news outlets more or less echoed this line, calling it a big win for ObamaCare. They and others are all talking about a Rand Corp. survey that, in fact, finds no such thing. Rand asked people about changes in their insurance situation between last September and late March, as a way

Politics: This fall, Democrats will no doubt resurrect the "war on women" theme to try to hold the Senate. But they don´t really care about all women, just the unmarried ones. The IBD/TIPP poll shows why. According to the Washington Post, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is building a huge computer database that will let it predict women´s marital status. That way they can "pinpoint unmarried women as the target of specific, poll-test messages," according to one source quoted in the story. Despite all the talk among Democrats and the media about the "gender gap" that has supposedly resulted from what they say

GOP Blows Chance To Nail
Another ObamaCare Failure

Health Care: Republicans pushed a bill that would let small businesses continue to offer high-deductible plans to employees, despite ObamaCare. Sounds like a good idea. So why did the leadership try to hide it? The original plan for ObamaCare was to force every business with 50 or more employees to provide "affordable" coverage or pay a stiff fine, plus to sharply restrict the plans they could offer by, among other things, capping deductibles at $2,000 for workers. The cap was little more than a stealth attempt by Democrats to wreck Health Savings Accounts, which trade off high deductibles for tax-free savings accounts

Whatever Happened to
Medical Malpractice Reform?

President Obama might be thrilled that 7.1 million people apparently signed up for ObamaCare exchanges. But doctors have good reason to withhold their applause. Back in June 2009, Obama told a gathering of the American Medical Association that he was "looking at a range of ideas" that would stem the tide of costly medical malpractice lawsuits and "scale back the excessive defensive medicine." A few months later, he told Congress that "I´ve talked to enough doctors to know that defensive medicine may be contributing to unnecessary costs" and that he would borrow a page from President Bush and fund demonstration projects for

Bias: How much abuse will the mainstream media take before they stand up for themselves? When the abuse comes from the Obama administration, their tolerance appears to be unlimited. This week, for example, two things happened that should have sent reporters into a frenzy of outrage. First, there were reports that the Obama administration has effectively crippled the Freedom of Information Act, despite Obama´s promise of unequaled transparency. Nearly half the federal agencies got an F grade for FOIA compliance, according to a Center for Effective Government report. And Cause of Action discovered that the administration had created a new FOIA exemption,

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s
