Obama: Debate prep is ‘a drag’

President Barack Obama, holed up at a swank Las Vegas-area resort to get ready for his first debate with Mitt Romney, jokingly told a volunteer on Monday that debate prep can be "a drag." (Snip) "We had a great prep, and it was a lot of fun," he told Stinger. "It's very nice. Although basically they're keeping me indoors all the time. It's a drag. They're making me do my homework." Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki declined to shed much light on the president's debate prep sessions, in which Democratic Sen. John Kerry has been playing Romney.

Comments:
He's not used to doing Any work. Advantage Romney?

It's so beneath him.

He's just not into it anymore.

So tired of his arrogant, yet infantile, whinging. Just shut up already and go away to a place you can play golf every morning and hold court for you minions every afternoon and do whatever it is you do all night. I have such a bad feeling, like he knows something we don't know. Like his behavior while we all waited for the Supreme Court decision that we all just knew had to go our way. But he knew. What does he know now?

That the big fix is in #2? If you are dealing dirty then you know you have it in the bag. I'm not so sure though. I think he's working on another ulcer and his weight will drop even more. I don't give a rip for him and the thing he rode in on, but the girls are still young enough to simply obey their parents and keep their thoughts to themselves; not much else they can do. And I hope their education is good enough for them to understand ten or twenty years from now, just exactly what their father did to this country, and how their mother took disgusting advantage of our tax dollars parading herself and her arms around believing the LSM press about how wonderful she is.

Hey, BO, you are in Las Vegas! Go catch a show and other entertainment. The debates? Oh, they are just bumps in the road.
BTW, which president said that trips to LV should not be business expenses (or something like that).

I have said it before; this guy does not want to win this election!

He is so done with this whole president thing.

I'm sure it is a drag to have to cram in all those dull facts about budgets and foreign policy and "president stuff" that are beyond Obeyme's comprehension, and that he has to memorize.

I'm just surprised he hasn't demanded that he be allowed to have his crutches--his teleprompters--for the debates.

Reply 11 - Posted by: strike3, 10/1/2012 10:34:59 PM     (No. 8903298)

You think debate prep is a drag, just wait until you see how it feels to make a complete arse of yourself on the stage when you try to fight facts with piles of dung, and stutter yourself to death trying to fling them.

I assumed Obama was talking about how he dresses for Reggie Love
and Kal Penn.
Karl Rove's CrossRoads GPS has a great ad
out that skewers Obama's dereliction of duty.
I did not realize that when Obama showed up on The View
as " eye candy " instead of meeting Netenyahu and other world leaders ,
he actually came on The View stage toting a gift basket .
The Commander in Chief bringing a hostess gift and then describing
all the lady goodies,
was beyond words
Not only did Obama sit like a woman, he acted like one.

Shouldn't be that long. A quick meeting with Jim Lehrer to give him the questions and then practice the answers.

I expect Obama to be on the golf course by 11:30. That is, after an early lunch at 11.

Really...has he ever done ANYTHING but do speeches???...other than signing into law Obamacare, what else has he done???
He has, I have to believe, worn out Air Force One and it's crew...He is never in the WH

Did he say drag, or in drag?

Reply 16 - Posted by: LanieLou, 10/1/2012 11:24:33 PM     (No. 8903375)

I doubt they made him prep... He'll read his responses off his blackberry, just like 2008.

Another fine example of Obama's lack of a work ethic. Definitely a slacker. If revealed, he had the same attitude while attending college.

Hey! Obammunist! If debate prep is such a drag -- skip it! Get out on the links for a couple rounds and just phone it in on debate night! You're so damn smart, you can just wing it!

I thought 'drag' would be labeled a racist term. As that pick up was used to drag around ___ for several miles before releasing him. You know....like the liberals blamed George W Bush of doing down here in Texas a few years back. Who is oh dark won dragging?

A massive tornado ripped through Moore, Okla., Monday afternoon, leveling a huge swath of a residential area in the suburb of Oklahoma City. Video footage from KFOR-TV showed houses, businesses and at least two schools completely demolished, with cars strewn about. Police and emergency crews have begun to respond, but debris has clogged roadways. There is no tally yet on injuries or deaths, but news anchors said significant casualties are expected. At least one large fire has broken out amid the rubble. The twister is already being compared to the May 3, 1999 storm that ripped through Moore

LOS ANGELES - More poor people live in the nation´s suburbs than in urban cities because of affordable housing, service-sector jobs and the increased use of housing vouchers, according to a study released Monday. The number of those in poverty living in suburbs jumped 67 percent between 2000 and 2011, a much larger increase than in cities, researchers for the Brookings Institution said. Suburbs, however, still have a smaller percentage of the poor than cities do. The report notes that poor people were pulled to the suburbs by more affordable homes and followed jobs that were often low paying.

Parking fees fight at
Calif. state beaches heat up

LOS ANGELES -- flocking to Southern California beaches are used to feeding the meter or paying a parking attendant. Not so along the less developed north coast where it´s customary to ditch cars on the shoulder of Highway 1 to surf, swim or picnic. That sandy line that long defined the state´s disparate beach culture may soon fade. In search of new revenue, the state parks system is eyeing parking fees for parts of the Northern California shoreline where none existed or considering hiking rates to visit popular beaches south of Los Angeles during peak periods.

CAIRO — The pale, young Christian woman sat handcuffed in the courtroom, accused of insulting Islam while teaching history of religions to fourth-graders. A team of Islamist lawyers with long beards sang in unison, "All except the Prophet Muhammad." (Snip) Blasphemy charges were not uncommon in Egypt under the now-ousted autocrat Hosni Mubarak´s regime, but there has been a surge in such cases in recent months, according to rights activists. The trend is widely seen as a reflection of the growing power and confidence of Islamists, particularly the ultraconservative Salafis. "Salafis are the engineers of these stories,"

A shooting as the Warriors game let out Thursday night left two fans dead - the driver of a Porsche was killed by bullets and the passenger was killed as he staggered out onto Interstate 880 in Oakland. Now, police are turning to Warriors fans and nearby surveillance video from the O.co Coliseum for help in finding the killers. Oakland police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said Friday that the two men were leaving the arena about 10:35 p.m., when the shooting broke out. The victims identities were not released Friday, but the driver was a 30-year-old man

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
