| The State Department stood by U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice Monday, rejecting calls by Republicans that she step down Asked to comment on demands by Rep. Peter King, R-New York, that Rice step down for what he says were misleading comments about the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters: "Secretary (Hillary) Clinton believes that Ambassador Rice has done a superb job, so let's just start there, and we completely reject any such calls here in this building."
|
Comments: Why how magnanimous of Madam Hillary! To think that this strong woman has the character to stand by Ms. Rice who was only sent out like a sacrificial lamb in the first place to cover for Ms. Rodham's complete and utter Charlie Foxtrot (look it up) of a foreign policy in Libya and elsewhere in the Mid-East. Her Thighness isn't called the Queen of Chutzpah for nothing.

Well of course she does, especially when the Regime's propaganda machine just excepts it and moves on to the next shiny item to distract voters.

The Dems never clean house unless and until the media demands it, which they never do, of the Dems, that is. If it were a R Administration, Rice would have been gone last week. And, they never would have allowed her to get up and lie like she did. The press would have ripped her to pieces for days on the front pages of every newspaper in the country. They would have hounded her unmercifully.
By the way, Akin stood up to the dogs in the media. Not sure what I think of the guy, but he is one of the few that has ever withstood their biased hounding.

Rice is simply incompetent but so is the UN and the present administration. Zero is going to get a lot of people killed by failing to back Israel. If A-Jad and his nutball buddies use a nuke on Israel then Tehran will cease to exist. The Jews will not go quietly. There are a lot of truly innocent people in Tehran.....men, women and children. And as an afterthought, Mecca might be transformed into a smoking hole in the ground.
If this debacle story continues much longer, the WH will throw her under the bus. I could almost feel sorry for her. She was told what to say and had to stand up and recite a brazen lie. Note I said 'almost'.

The war hen hawks stick together. Just waiting for Mrs. Cass Sunstein, Samantha Power, to chime in on this fiasco.
So much blood on the hands of all of these hen hawks and their bogus U.N. Response to Protect excuse to send US troops to any he**-hole in the world they want to "protect".

Your blanket approval is not the point PIAPS. She intentionally misinformed the American people regarding a terrorist attack--that is actionable and contemptable behavior by an important figure within the State Dept.
I second the House Armed Forces Chairman in asking for her resignation--tomorrow! This is way beyond sandlot politics--you Madame Secretary are a complete disgrace to the United State of America.

Has it come out just WHY Susan Rice got the task of going on 5 Sunday shows to present the flimsy lies of the Administration?
Nobody from the Cabinet or National Security Agency wanted to sink that low?
They drew straws?
Rice was judged to be the most convincing liar? She was offered a financial package?

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he´ll "probably" make a decision about running for president sometime in 2015. The Republican, who is seeking a second term in November as governor, has taken heat recently for appearances with President Obama and former President Bill Clinton. Christie said on MSNBC´s Morning Joe program that he´s not concerned with how appearances with high-profile democrats might affect his political future. "My job is to do my job," Christie said, as he defended his appearance last week at the Clinton Global Initiative

James O´Keefe is back to muckraking, with a new book and fresh "Obamaphone" scandal as the "Ashton Kutcher of the Conservative movement" reaffirms his commitment to guerilla journalism. Having paid his debt to society after his 2010 arrest, he is now ready to pick up where he left off in his crusade to expose corruption in the halls of power, beginning with footage that shows shady practices in the government-subsidized cellphone program. On Monday night, family, friends from his Rutgers days and members of Team O´Keefe squeezed into a club in West SoHo

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) has signed her name to an effort to draft Hillary Clinton into the 2016 presidential race, becoming the first sitting member of Congress to do so. The Ready for Hillary super PAC announced McCaskill as its latest big-name supporter on Tuesday morning. McCaskill in 2008 supported President Obama over Clinton in the primary, but said earlier this year that she hopes Clinton will run again. “Hillary Clinton had to give up her political operation while she was making us proud, representing us around the world as an incredible

A National Rifle Association television ad targeting Democratic West Virginian Senator Joe Manchin for his work with President Barack and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to draft new gun control legislation uses a shaded photo of the African-American president that makes him appear darker and, according to some critics, more sinister. In the ad, Bloomberg´s face appears to be shaded, as well, but much less dramatically than the president´s Obama´s darker appearance in the ad is being compared to a controversial 1994 Time magazine cover

A host of Republicans considering 2016 presidential bids, including Florida Gov. Marco Rubio, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Texas Gov. Rick Perry, will attend a conference for religious conservatives starting Thursday, with a notable exception: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Christie was invited to speak at the Faith and Freedom Coalition´s two-day "Road To Majority" conference in Washington, Republicans with knowledge of the invitation said. Christie´s team declined, citing a scheduling conflict. Instead of visiting the conservative confab, the New Jersey governor

If there’s one thing we know about Americans, it’s that they love a winner. By extension, they can be very tough on those who don’t. I’ve often wondered whether that’s why so many people seem unwilling to give Jimmy Carter his due. Yes, Carter was president of the United States during four tumultuous years, 1977-’81. He had his share of crises to deal with: 52 Americans held hostage in Iran, the Soviets invading Afghanistan, stagflation, lineups for gasoline around the block thanks to a squeeze by the OPEC nations, not to mention Three Mile Island and the petty scandals

The controversial filmmaker whose crude Internet trailer was wrongly blamed by the White House for sparking last year´s deadly Benghazi attack vowed to finish his movie, which he said is aimed at fighting terrorism, not denigrating Islam. Breaking his silence from inside a facility under the authority of the federal Bureau of Prisons in southern California, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula told FoxNews.com in a series of phone interviews that his film "Innocence of Muslims" has been widely misunderstood, and not just in being singled out as causing the Sept. 11, 2012, attack

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Is Marco Rubio, R-Fla., getting played by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.? During his interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl this morning, Rubio didn’t even seem to understand what that meant. “Are you being played by the Democrats?” asked Karl. “Is Chuck Schumer playing you?” “I don’t — I quite frankly, I don’t even know what that means,” Rubio replied. “Is he using you?” Karl continued. “Is he using you to try to accomplish something that the Democrats want and is not — not a conservative bill?” Rubio responded that immigration reform was a bi-partisan issue that “all Americans

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
