| California's Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown has signed into law legislation that would give legal state driver licenses to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrant youths. The bill, AB 2189, obviously affects only undocumented young people in the nation's most populous state. But it could also play an important role in the upcoming presidential debate Wednesday evening in Denver. Both candidates are preparing today and tomorrow for their first of three rhetorical rendezvous. The agreed-upon topic that night just happens to be domestic policy.

Please, Jerry & the Dems are only allowing illegals to show a drivers license when they vote. Is that asking so much? And to get in state tuition, cash welfare checks, get Medicaid drug prescriptions and receive all of the benefits that accrue to citizens. The going out of business state puts up a larger sign, "Everyone must go!"

Debate fodder? Amid the cries of bi-partisanship to reform? The only thing standing between amnesty and not are a few people. Once the GOP and Dems can figure out how to minimize their impact, the John McCain Immigration Reform Act will pass and be signed.

Inorder to get a license in California, you have to take the driving test in an insured vehicle. Will Brown wave this requirement?I took my Hispanis brother-in-law to take the test and he failed 3 times. So he drove without a license. Lot of that going on there.

They are required to be insured for public liability and damage. How is he working this out?
We have heard virtually nothing about this. It's the kind of thing that "One Bill" Cedillo unsuccessfully tried to pass for years.

(hit submit too soon)
FTA:
The state Department of Motor Vehicles has concluded the federal program appears to confer a status on undocumented immigrants that would qualify them for licenses, but the bill by Assemblyman Gilbert Cedillo (D-Los Angeles) clarifies that any papers issued by the federal program are sufficient to get a license.
"I'm proud the governor chose public safety over the politics of the day,'' Cedillo said.
"Public safety"? WTH is he talking about? They shouldn't be here at all, let alone driving. And the granting of a license does not insure the public safety. Cedillo is trying to give them status. The vote.

It certainly ought to be Denver debate fodder, for reasons both local and national. Now that Californico has taken the next step toward being a province of Mexico, Colorado will not be far behind, especially with puppets like Hickenlooper and Denver Mayor Hancock in charge.

California and Colorado are dominated by cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles - Colorado has Boulder and Denver and the libs have them and vote for illegals to be pampered and allowed to vote. Good luck on throwing the dems out. I wish it were so, not only for mexicans, but the mooslims, too.

Say goodbye to the Golden State and hello to the Beholden State! The fiscal condition of CA is circling the drain and the Democrats are determined to see the state go bankrupt! The next step will be for Gov. Moonbeam to have his hand out to the Feds for taxpayer bailout money to keep the state afloat! From California to Mexifornia in one generation! Well done Dems!

You have to face the fact that the liberal Democrats will never support the affective enforcement of the immigration laws, as they have a huge political conflict of interest in that they consider illegal aliens, and especially these young illegal aliens, to be prospective liberal Democrat voters.
For that reason the Republicans should never give the Democrats the political cover they need to pass a permanent amnesty that eventually provides illegal aliens a "path to citizenship" that is liberal Democrat code speech for eventually granting the illegal alien population US voting rights. The only way to do that is to statutorily bar illegal aliens who receive any legal immigration status by way of amnesty or legalization from becoming US citizens.
Its entirely possible that there are about 20 million illegal aliens now in the USA. If they were granted US voting rights in the future, the vast majority of them being poor low wage earning generally uneducated people would become liberal Democrat voters, that has been historical fact all along. With that many new voters, the liberal Democrats would be able to cancel out enough Republican votes in key states to win every future national election, and ensure a continuous socialist oriented US government into the future.

A huge crime in many ways. Jerry Brown was a disaster back in the 70's and now has come back to finish off California.

Nice try by President Obama to change the national subject of intense public discussion from his serial scandals to his "fight" against terrorism. In an hour-long speech, interrupted by a persistent heckler, the former Real Good Talker reminded his audience, whose mission is to study war, that the United States has "constitutional principles." And that "having fought for our independence, we know a price must be paid for freedom." Strange words indeed coming from an alleged constitutional law lecturer and president whose Internal Revenue Service has been illegally targeting and intimidating Americans of a certain contrary political persuasion.

The standard rule for handling bad news in politics is to get it all out at once. Take your hits for a news cycle, two or three. And then try to move on. The worst thing to do is allow the bad news to dribble out, poison drop by poison drop, for days, weeks, even months. Yet that is precisely what Barack Obama has done -- and continues to do in his current epidemic of embarrassments -- over a decade of controversies and scandals. The amazing thing is, so far, it´s worked like a charm. So, why should he change?

Graduation ceremonies are good times for families and their offspring, which makes them good times for politicians to be around and associate themselves with happiness. President Obama gives four commencement speeches per year--at one public and one private university, one historically black school and one service academy. Just before his epidemic of scandals broke, Obama critiqued the many faults of America and told Ohio State graduates to dismiss cynical talk about over-reaching government and fear of tyranny. Technically, first ladies are not politicians. Most are dutiful if often reluctant campaigners. But Michelle Obama is a glaring exception.

Finally, scientific confirmation of what so many have suspected all along: The strongest of men in varied societies around the world are much more likely to hold conservative political views. Probably much smarter too. While weaker guys, regardless of wealth, are more liberal, into handouts and wealth redistribution because, well, they don´t have the strength to get it and keep it themselves. The reassuring results come from a new study by researchers at Denmark´s Aarhus University.

Hi, I’m Congressman Andy Harris, and this is the Red Tape Tower. 20,000 pages high and seven feet tall, it encompasses all of the regulations already associated with President Obama’s health care law. The red tape, the taxes, the mandates, the tricks, the traps, the fine print … it’s all here. Now: just think about the fact that it’s the IRS that will be responsible for enforcing many of these regulations. If we’ve learned anything this week, it’s that the IRS needs less power.

Hi, everybody. Over the past few months, I’ve laid out a series of commonsense ideas to reignite the true engine of our economic growth: a rising, thriving middle class. The way I see it, there are three areas where we need to focus. One: making America a magnet for good jobs. Two: making sure our workers have the education and skills they need to do those jobs. And three: making sure your hard work leads to a decent living. I’ve also been visiting cities across the country that are doing some interesting and creative things along these lines.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
