The Untold Story Behind The
"Fast and Furious" Scandal

Univision News, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:Robinsolana, 9/30/2012 9:31:03 AM

Who are the human faces of the U.S. government's botched "Fast and Furious" gun-walking operation? Often lost amid the rancor in Washington are the stories of dozens of people killed by guns that flowed south as part of the undercover operation, and later slipped out of view from U.S. officials. Univision's Investigative Unit (Univision Investiga) has identified massacres committed using guns from the ATF operation, including the killing of 16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010.
Headline split, source corrected.

Comments:
Anyway you look at it, the callousness of the Obama administration toward these casualties of its 'gunwalking' of 1000s of weapons into the hands of the narco-terrorists in Mexico is stunning.

Obama and Holder are criminals and they belong in jail.

Watched the promo. Someone makes the statement that Americans don't care about deaths beyond their borders. That might be true to some extent, but the US Latino vote will be effected when this story airs.

The Univision special will air with English sub-titles. 70PM (EST)

This is a teaser for their special program tonight at 7 PM.

In defense of the Americans that don't care, it's because the MSM has REFUSED to tell us about this travesty. They are so intent on protecting their boy a few hundred deaths means nothing to them.

JimK. A valid point.

1. It wasn't "botched" despite the media meme. The goal was to create a [phony but] believable "trail" of US guns into drug cartel hands.

2. The guns didn't "slip out of view," as there were never any tracking devices used by Holder.

3. That said, and risking mis-interpretation of how serious F&F is and must be taken, it must be said that Mexico is in a fight for survival against the cartels. But Mexico seems to lack both the needed "weapons" [enough honest military and police; honest courts that can survive the Cartels' violence] and the indispensable will. Most of al, the Mexican federal gov't seems to come short.

Now I know why Univision was the only network to actually ask Obama tough questions.

Like I said, trying to foment a US-Mexico war, but I really didn't think the ATF would be involved. They are made to do cartoon type stuff that plays to our stereotypes, and we are made to do cartoon type stuff that plays to theirs. Eventually somebody comes along and undertakes some provocative night time shooting and spreads some rumors and you have got yourself a war, which Obama will jump into and enjoy because it isn't about the big right-left narrative. There is no way to avoid being manipulated except to see the other side, now, early.

Reply 11 - Posted by: frodo, 9/30/2012 10:43:54 AM     (No. 8900121)

The reason Univision is (so far) the only media company to air this is because the media generally is working to get President Obama re-elected.
I learned years ago while working in intelligence that the Arab translators were generally sympathetic to the Arab positions and the Hebrew translators to the Israeli positions. That is human nature.
Spanish speakers will care more about Mexican police deaths than US non-Spanish speakers will be. (obviously a generalization). However video has the power to move opinion. The interviews with the mothers of the teens that will killed by US supplied guns could very well move this into a campaign issue.

The True Story Is This

The Mexican Drug War, and war it is, has it's other roots in Chicago. Bot are for control of distribution into America. Chicago is other end of this war.

The common denominator is The Obama Machine and the vicious gang that rules Illinois, known colloquially as Democrats.

Read Dr. Joseph Douglass' RED COCAINE for the definitive work on communist strategies to raise vast sums for themselves while destroying America from inside. And we all here know Obama is a communist.

Amazing but not surprising.. Obviously they have a vested interest in getting this information out to the public, still UNIVISION is the ONLY network to broadcast the real story of F & F! and the drug-cartel-enabler-obama. FNC has made a few tries at it, but not like this one. Hope all those hispanic voters-for-obama will be watching!

I take the pessimistic view and I hope I'm wrong.

ABC is no friend of conservatives, so why would anyone automatically assume ABC/Univison would do anything that would damning to Obama? Don't kid yourself, This is a vehicle to exonerate Obama. This show will provide reassurance to the Hispanic community that Obama is their only hope.

Sure, the show will criticize Obama, but its main objective will be to provide excuses for everything it presents. Obama will go scot free and if anything. He and his staff will look like angels looking out for the rest of us.

Don't let one critical interview of Obama set you up for disappointment.

Will the report even mention President Fake & Spurious much less implicate him?
I highly doubt it.
That is what we have to hope for, because Hispanic voters won't make the connection on their own.

I'm not surprised that it's Univision making this effort. I was in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico when this story first started to break. I was sitting at a conference table in a major manufacturing operation with a half dozen Mexican engineers and we were supposed to be working on some engineering issues. The meeting dissolved into an angry discussion about fast and furious. They were very upset about this then and still are to this day (I work with these guys every week).

Zippy and "With" Holder have the perfect defense - - one that no prosecutor could possibly possibly pierce - - total incompetence.

How can you convict anyone who hasn't the slightest clue as to what's going on?

Don't laugh, folks - - that's their actual argument. "We dint no nuthin!" - - how can you convict them?

If you think you can't get the show because you don't have Univision, check listings for the name of the show "Aqui y Ahora". I don't get the station called "Univision" on my DirecTv but the show is on ch. 14 KDTV locally.

I think some posters may be right...they may just make it look like incompetence with no knowledge or accountability attributed to Holder or Obama. But, I will still hope (just won't hold my breath!) that it is presented as it should be.

I am ready to hear the dirty truth about F and F and have someone in the W.H. or DOJ pay for their crimes. No wonder Daley bailed on his Chicago pals on the Potomac.

WASHINGTON - The White House on Saturday flatly denied that President Barack Obama withheld requests for help from the besieged American compound in Benghazi, Libya, as it came under on attack by suspected terrorists on September 11th. The Benghazi debacle has three parts: how we neglected security while al-Qaeda was building a presence in Libya; whether the administration tried to mislead the public as to the nature of the attack; and now whether the administration denied pleas for help from operatives on the ground at the consulate. Now, presumably at the behest of Gen. David Petraeus — who has been remarkably tight-lipped and not defended his agency against White House accusations that senior officials’ misstatements were the fault of the CIA — the CIA threw the hot potato right back in the politicians’ laps.

Mitt Romney has opened up a clear lead over Barack Obama in their presidential race. That owes a great deal to the candidates’ debate performances, of course. But something else is going on, too. In recent days, Obama’s approval rating has taken a perceptible hit. Via the Weekly Standard, we see that in the Rasmussen survey, only 47% approve of Obama’s job performance, while 52% disapprove. There are two plausible explanations for Obama’s current slide: voters may be disgusted by the mean, petty campaigning he is running, or they may disapprove of his handling of the Benghazi crisis. Or both.

Reports indicate two drones and an AC-130 gunship were in the area when Benghazi was attacked, yet their resources were not used. This runs completely against the current explanation coming out of the White House, which is that Obama did everything he could once he learned of the attack. You'll remember that in the second presidential debate, Obama said that as "soon as I was aware the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team." The not-so-subtle intimation is that Obama was stepping up to the protect the U.S. personnel who were in Libya.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.
